Getting Information In A ComboBox And Reference To A Database?

I have a problem getting the right information to a ComboBox.I have a table in SQL Server that contains a list of names.I want to get those names to appear in my ComboBoxes shown in the picture. (DONE)I also want the list of names to decrease by the names already used in other ComboBoxes in that Form...
EXAMPLE:So, lets say I have a list:
Name_1
Name_2
Name_3
[code]....
In the Form, there are 10 ComboBoxes.I choose the Name_1 for ComboBox1, Name_2 for ComboBox2 and Name_3 for ComboBox3.The options available for all other ComboBoxes should be Name_4 ... Name_6.If all of the 6 names are filled, the rest of the ComboBoxes should have no option to insert into them...

The program is currently trying to pull information from three different database tables and compiling the information onto one screen, to do this i am using three different connections and a function to handle the data at each stage. The issue is as my code hits PageLoadStage of "2" and runs the QueryDatabase() Function i am encountering an error of: "OleDB exception unhandled: No value given for one or more of the required parameters." This occurs on line 15 of the first code snippet. Can anyone explain this and/or identify any code issues if that is the cause.

I've got a bunch of DLL projects that I'm pulling into my application, each contains their own Settings.settings/app.config. When I compile the app and run for debugging, everything works just fine, but come deployment time I can't get my DLLs to read their own settings files.I've been doing some reading and it has become apparent that there's a couple of methods to getting each dll to read its own configuration - one is to dedicate a .dll.config to the library and the other is to embed the dll's configuration in the process.exe.config.I'm having significant issues trying to implement either and I wondered if anyone has any good docs on this - there appears to be a shortage on the Net.
I'd like a separate .dll.config for each of the libraries if possible, but in a pinch, getting each of my libraries to read their own section of the process.exe.config will he right direction because I'm so close to rolling this application out but this stumbling block is causing me a significant headache.Edit: When I merge the configuration files, I start getting TypeInitializer exceptions when I initialize objects withing my libraries. This is likely just me being retarded, but does someone have a working example of a merged config file and some basic demonstrative code for reading it from multiple assemblies?

We are filling a combobox with customer names from a table. select ID, name from tbl_customers order by name The names we are filling with CMB_custom.Items.Add(RSselct("name").Value) Is there a possibillity to put the ID into the combobox? If we select a name from the combo we can get also the ID.

I need to populate some information into several ComboBoxes. The infromation should be read from the table in my database. Is it possible to read the information and populate it onto a combobox without using data binding?
I tried to populate several ComboBoxes, but if I use databinding, the ComboBoxes all show the same value.Also, if I select a certain value, it also selects that row in the table, which I do not wish to do..

I need to use an array at any part of the project. It has been suggested to me to build an array and show its result in a combobox. Instead of having an input textbox, i will have a combobox which will display 10 common names which are kept in the array.

I have been searching for days and have come up stumped. My applcation opens with Form1. There is a menu bar with a Tools menu. Under Tools is Options which opens Form2.Form2 contains a combobox which I need to use to control an IF on Form1.

I have a vb application sitting on an sql server with 4 different tables. I want a scenario where when I select any table from the combobox, every query I will run should use that table as a reference.
E.g. ComboBox values(tables)=A,B,C,D
If A is selected then
SQLQuery="Select * from A "
If B is selected then
SQLQuery="Select * from B " etc

I am not sure what I am doing with this and need some direction. I have attempted to create a stored procedure in SQL Server 2005 called proc_GetPrefixes with the following content

The case is that I have two comboboxes (country and state) and a simple code to populate the state combobox accordingly depending on the selected country. Ok this is simple and easy, and this code is within the country combo change event.The case is that I have more than one pairs of those comboboxes and I wouldnt like to repeat all the populate code into every country combo change event.Actually I would like to have only one function and just call it passing as parameter a reference to the combobox I want to populate. I have a program that needs to display a playlist of songs, for a band performing someplace, from a .txt file. The songs in the file are listed as follows:

The first line is the song's title and group name. The second is the songs genre. The third line is the songs length, 4.25 is 4 minutes and 25 seconds.upon clicking a button, I need to display a playlist from this .txt file based on the number of minutes the band has to play, minutes entered into a TextBox, and the songs genre, selected from a ComboBox. I currently have a map that displays one property and six nearby other propertys the center is based on the one property. I have a database with about 10 records - each with their own ID. I'm trying to add a new record, and to do this I decided to have a text box on my application form show what the next ID will be. Here's the code I am using:

The changes you requested to the table were not successful because they would create duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship. Change the data in the field or fields that contain duplicate data, remove the index, or redefine the index to permit duplicate entries and try again.How would I go about finding the maximum ID in the database and then adding 1 to it so I can display it in the text box?

does anyone know how to make it that when you type something in to a text box the click a button called add to then have what you typed in added to a checked list box and then have it that when you click another button called add that the information in the checked list box which has been checked is then added to a database.would it be better to make th information entered in to the text box be saved to a text document and then have the checked box get its information from the text file if so does any one know how to do that.

I am working on login and registration page in vb express 2010. I have connected access 2007 database with my project and when I register as a user, it stores information to the database successfully and I can log in with that id as well. But when I close that project and reopen it, the same exact id won't work and the information in the database disappears.

i am new to working with databases, I have done some of my own research and have been adding and regtrieving records without trouble. Now I need to retrieve a specific record based on a selection made by the user. I found that the way to do it is with the WHERE statement and from examples i have seen the code below should be how it is done:[code]The problem I am having is that when i try to run the sub i get the error:Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression 'Show Name = Strictly Hip Hop'.The show name is in the database because that is where the data is retrieved from. All I am trying to do is populate a text box with information from the Host column when the Show Name column is the same as the selected item in the combo box.
