Toggle CheckBox Cell In DataGridView Programmatically?

When user unchecks the checkbox for the datagridview row, messagebox displayed, if the user answers yes the row is deleted, if the user answers no then I need to re-check the check box. however it doesn't actually check unless i click anywhere on the datagridview afterwards. get the dgv to updated?

I have a DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn who's column name is "booReadyToReport want to hide all the checkboxes in this column if "bintAnalyteCodeID" doesn't equal the selected value in a combobox on my form. ut I run this bit of code the DataGridView DataError event fires currently, have nothing in the event except an comment. he code seems to work, but I'm new to VB.NET and I'm wondering if this is the correct way to handle thishould I use the CellPainting event?

I have some DataGridView code written in vb.net. (Nothing is attached to a datasource.)The 4th column is a checkbox cell.How do I detect if that checkBox is checked or unchecked?This code strangely reports TRUE or FALSE at random times. It even turns ON the checkbox in rows other than the row I clicked in. (Huh?)

I programmatically edit my datagridview cell values. I use the vertical scrollbar to find the row I want to edit, select the row then click an edit button that takes me to another form where changes to the record are made. I then click a button which saves the changes and returns me to the datagridview form. No problems here.
When I return to the grid, the records are displayed with the first record at the top of the grid. That is, the vertical scroll bar has repositioned itself to the very top.
Is it possible for the datagridview to "remember" the position of the vertical scroll bar so that when I am returned to the grid, the rows displayed are the same as when I left?

i am developing an application in VB.net implies some datagridview operations. the appl contains one DGVW with columns fixed programatically, one such column is Datagridviewcheckbox column. the datasource for dgvw is bounded by a datatable. the user needs to enter the values in the GUI.
supposing the user enters the 2x2 matrix values, and the user checked the checkbox last cell in the dgvw. The problem - the last cell value is not updating inside. if ii debug through code, the "cell(2,2).value" reurns null value whereas the rest of them returns the value what i entered.
if i clicked the mouse some where in the dgvw after entering the last cell value, then it is returning the exact value as expected.

I have a bound datagridview that contains a column that stores how many hours an employee has worked in a day. That column gets summed up using an expression and then displayed in a label. I have another column that contains checkboxes. When the user checks a checkbox, the hours in that row should be subtracted from the total in the label. How can I accomplish this?

I'm afraid this is a very simple question, but I can't figure it out... I hardly ever use the DataGridView (usually use a third party grid) so I never needed to do this before.Anyway, I have a DataGridView that is data-bound to a List(Of SomeClass). The grid is not ReadOnly, but I made every column ReadOnly except the very first, which is a boolean column so it displays a checkbox. This way, the user cannot edit any cell value, but he can check/uncheck the checkbox in the first column.
What I need now basically is an event that is raised when the user (not programmatically) changes the value of this checkbox. I also need to be able to retrieve the bound item from that event (from the row number I think?) but that should be no problem, I hope.Anyway, there's a bunch of events that looked promising but all have something I don't want:
1. CellBeginEdit - Fires before the checkbox value has changed, so can't use this.
2. CellEndEdit - Only fires after the edited row loses focus. I want to save it back to the database as soon as the user changes the checkbox value!
3. CellValueChanged - Same problem as nr 2.
I'm sure it must be possible for me to react as soon as the user changes the value of the checkbox? How can I do this?

How to programmatically change foreground color and make bold text in individual cell location on DataGridView control (Visual Basic)?
I use "dgMatrix.Rows(r).Cells(c).Value = x" to assign individual numeric values to individual cells in a DataGridView control. My question; is there a similar way to change foreground color and make bold the text in this cell, by specifying the individual row/column cell location?
For example; for cell (row 3, col 5) in the DataGridView make text in cell say red and bold or blue and bold so as to highlight and distinguish individual cell contents. As needed, I will also need to reset these properties (foreground back to automatic/black and font from bold back to regular); the reset could be done globally to the whole DataGridView as opposed to indiviaually by cell.

I have a datagridview that is showing Yes and No in 2 checkbox cells. (Logically I should have just one checkbox but it is a legacy program (from Excel VBA)). So what I want to do is if the user clicks one checkbox cell to make the value True then the other checkbox in the row needs to be set to False. I have googled and searched the Forums here for an answer for this but found nothing really specific. The envisaged problem here of course would be that the events are mutual so they should not keep firing continuously in a "loop" when one or the other is changed - that might be the really difficult bit.

Have this code so that when a checkbox in a column of my datagridview is checked, then the corresponding cell in column 2 (of the same row the check box is in) will turn blue with font color white.

I'd also like to add a line so that as well as the cell going blue, the bottom border of the cell disappears, so cellborderstyle = none.

I have a DataGridView with several columns. One column is a TextBox column named "Status". This column can only show one of three values: 'Final', 'Ready', or 'No Reportable'. I want to have some code that would turn the TextBox cell into a ComboBox cell when the user left-clicks on the cell to allow the user to choose one of these three options. When the user clicks elsewhere or the cell loses focus I want the cell to change back to a TextBox cell.
Here is what I have so far, but the code throws an exception indicated below Plus, I don't think the code would remove the combobox when the cell loses focus.
Exception: "Provided cell does not belong to this DataGridView control."

I tried alot of things to achieve this but sadly no positive result.How can I set a cell to edit.[code]The focus is on the right column and the right row (DataGridViewComboBoxColumn). But it is not in edit mode (the symbol in the the rowheader is an arrow (select) and not the pen (edit)).When I tab to a textcell I can just type the values. But on the DataGridViewComboBoxColumn I have to press F2 so its in editmode.

I have two checkboxes in a windows form, one is called New Assumption the second is called Edit Assumption. What I want to do is that if either of these checkboxes are checked then the other should be unchecked.
I have tried using the CheckedChanges event, CheckStateChanged event and Click Event for each of these checkboxes and these events dont seem to be activated anytime I click the checkboxes.
What event and code should I use to uncheck and check checkboxes programatically based on which checkbox a user clicks on?

I have a program that gets some information from the user and updates the database.I also have two DataGridView, OpenOrders and ItemsInOrder When the user click on a cell in the OpenOrders a CellChange event is triggered and it updates the ItemsInOrder grid view. Now after I update the quantity of a product i want to cause that CellChange event to trigger again in order to refresh the ItemsInOrder grid view.
