Using .net To Access Users Signed Into A Domain?

Looking for some .net snippet on accessing what users are logged into a domain. I have looked through all the AD namespace and okay with that in getting static items. Specifically, NOT looking for current logged in user for a given machine(have that as well). Looking for a list of users that are currently signed into a Domain.Essentially, I want to pass a user (or list of users) to a method that will check to see if the user passed in, is currently logged into the network (AD).

i am trying to get a list of domains' and users' name on a computer so that users can select to run a program in other identity, but I can only find the current user and I can't find any post about getting these. Is there any post or any Identity classes that can help me to get all users and domains?

I have an mvc intranet application using windows authentication. It currently has one controller with three actions.
The first action (index) should be available to everyone, this is no problem. The second and the third actions should only be available to users in a specific DOMAIN. However the tag only gives me 2 options: Roles or Users. I tried using Users and setting it to 'DOMAIN*' and 'DOMAIN?' but that doesn't work.

The code can be accesses through: WatchFolder.zip..I would like to log the domain/username of the users when they are logging in from the network i.e. filesharing..I am currently using Environment.UserName and Environment.DomainName but this is not able to log if the files are access via filesharing..The Environment.UserName and Environment.DomainName are only useful if the user have logged in the machine (explorer/rdesktop)

I have a server that is not in the domain, but has data files on it, I would like users to be able to access. But don't want to manage individual accounts on the machine. With my application that i have written that gets the data(as long as I am logged on) how can I let any user in the main domain access to the data through my application?

I have a function that works perfectly when I attempt to add a user from the same domain into a group of the same domain.

I have a facebook iframe app I'm trying to test using a WebBrowser Control on a form in VB.NET 2010. Whenever I try to access the WebBrowser.Document.Window.Frames frame object on a document where my app is showing in the broswer, I get an Access Denined exception. Reading around on the web, I see people saying that this is to keep scripts in a document from accessing content in iframes that are pulling content from another domain, as per [URL] for security reasons.
While I totally understand why this is done for the general public, how can I disable it on my machine so that I can run these tests? I can't properly test my app without doing it in the facebook iframe and using the WebBrowser control is the only way I know to do this test programmatically. I'm on windows server 2003 and ie8, .net4.0, if that helps. I own the domain where the app is, and its in AS.NET MVC2, so if there's anything I can do to the web code to enable this??? I also removed the Internet Explorer ENhanced Security COnfiguaration component, but that didn't help.

Is it feasible to deploy a VB.NET windows forms application with a SQL Server back end where no users have direct access to SQL Server? The idea is that there is no way someone at the client site with admin capabilities could mess up the data definition, or directly alter data. I always assumed that somebody with the client should get admin capabilities, but perhaps not.
The application will have to have the capability of creating logins, doing backups, perhaps running scripts (encrypted?) For upgrades, and whatever else a user with elevated privileges would do. I guess the application would have a hard-coded account with admin privileges for this purpose. Is this a common way to deploy an application? The application uses SQL Server Express, which is installed with the application. The database will be installed with the application.

Attempting to pull WMI Win32 properties information from a server in a trusted domain using the delegate string listed at bottom and receive the error listed below. I know my Question was asked maybe 10000 times before, but i really did not take the chance to search the forum coz i really short of time.
I have *.mdb DataBase with 20 tables each table have more than 10 fields, i'm trying to automate the MDB file from a network like that 5 PCS + One vb.net exe program (5 users) working on the same time on the exe that is connected to the database , my questions are :
1) How much risk is it to put the database into one (shared) folder and connect it to the program ?
2) What is the best way to establish this method ?
3) Is there any alternatives ?

This program is going to submit GET data to our webpage. However, we don't want users accessing the webpage any other way than the program. We can prevent users from sharing the program using HWID authentication, but nothing prevents them from using a packet scanner to get the URL of the webpage. We thought about user-agent authentication, which we will implement, but user-agents can easily be spoofed.
how can we prevent users from accessing the webpage directly, instead of through the program?

In my application, I create data and log folders that must be shared by all users using this computer. I did a lot of research, and I found a function that is supposed to grant full access to every users of a folder and its children. However if right-click properties on my folder, the access is unchanged. ow should I grant full access to all users of a folder and its children (I don't care who created it, all users should be able to read and write to that folder)?

I am developing an access database that will be shared with multiple users.I don't want the users to access the database directly so I will have them enter new data on a data access page. The data access page is stored on a Microsoft Share Point web page, and the database is stored on a network drive.Here is my problem: When new data is entered on the web page I need it to trigger a WillChangeRecordset event; however, I have not been successful because the web page does not declare a new instance of a recordset object.At a minimum I need the new data to be processed before the web page appends the new data to the table.

I am developing a Visual Basic .NET application to be used by the staff of a small training centre nearby. The front-end (UI, menus, etc.) will all be in VB .NET, and there will be a back-end database for storing all of the required data, such as student records and meeting information. What I would like to know is if it's possible to use a Microsoft Access database for this purpose, and have it accessible by all the staff in the centre (on the same network) at the same time. For example, would I be able to put the database in a shared network folder, and have a copy of the VB application on each PC that would all be able to read/edit/add to the database?

I'm learning about GAC and signing assembly! And I have some problems...1. I make a DLL having some basic functions in ONE SOLUTION (Signed and Compile)2. Then, I make a FormApp, add a reference to this DLL and using its function to do somethings in OTHER SOLUTION. No error appears!3. I run this project, so I get an error:A call to PInvoke function 'MyDLL.LunarDate:: ' has unbalanced the stack. This is likely because the managed PInvoke signature does not match the unmanaged target signature. Check that the calling convention and parameters of the PInvoke signature match the target unmanaged signature.
I tried 4 possible abilities that I can image:
1. I unsign DLL and re-add it to FormApp : It's OK
2. I sign FormApp with same pnk : The same error

I have an array of Bytes. Most of these are interpreted as Unsigned. On certain occasions I need to interprete the byte as signed. Why can't Byte convert to SByte? What I'm doing: I'm trying to program a disassembler for an 8-bit video game ROM. My program reads the ROM and processes each instruction. The instructions are interpreted as unsigned. Some arguments for instructions would be treated by two's complement in the original hardware, however, to make a signed number.

I'd like to not worry about the Sign bit until I return the final value and just have the code return the appropriate value for the data type that was requested to be converted to/from the byte array
