I have a DataRepeater that needs to display individual items from a List (Of T). The missing link between them is a BindingSource component.Everything works fine, i.e., the DataRepeater displays list items correctly, and I can add and delete items, even change using the TextBoxes on the DataRepeater.
The problem is that when I change the value of an item in the code, it doesn't get reflected on the DataRepeater. Only when I click a button on the form which executes this code:myBindingSource.ResetBindings(False)
I use the data binding mode to fill data into a list box, that is just fill all of the data in the table. if I want to group one of the table column and only display it in the listbox, how can I get this done? I know how to add a getData query to my table adapter, but how can I bind that new datatable to the list box at runtime?? cuz I need to put the data binding mode information in before I run the application and in the binding mode is no way to choose that getData query.

This list of "ShippingRates" is accessible through a property "Shipment.PossibleShippingRates." That property simply returns a copy of the list of "ShippingRate" for that particular Shipment.
My UI layer receives a list of "Shipment" objects from the BLL. This list is databound to a datagridview, and shows details relevant to the Shipment such as Shipping Address, etc.
I want to bind the "Shipment.PossibleShippingRates" property to a combobox, such that when the user changes the grid row, the combobox reflects the "PossibleShippingRates" for that "Shipment."
In addition, I need a way to store the "ShippingRate" they selected from the combobox for later use.
I have tried a few ideas, but none of them work properly.

Above is the code i use to retrieve information out from my database. Column Commissionable will return either '0' or '1'. how is it possible that when i bind it into the datagridview, Column "Commissionable" is set as a datagridviewCheckBox have 0 as 'Unchecked', and 1 as 'Checked'
I'm populating a custom dropdown list control on the fly that's tied to data grid using VB .NET 2008. The form will display all the manufactures when the edit button on the data grid is selected.
The dropdown I created works fine. However, when I try to populate the drop down with the respected manufacture values from the database, I only get a value of "System.Data.DataRowView" that being populated in the dropdown list as opposed to my values from the database.
Here's the basic code I use to first create and populate the drop down control:

I have set the combo box dropdown style to dropdown, the auto complete mode to suggest append and the auto complete source to list items. This works fine IF I choose the required item using the mouse. If I type the full item name into the combo box, it is displayed but not selected for use. Is it possible to use a key such as TAB or Return to select the item in the combo box's display area after the drop down window has closed?
View 11 RepliesI'm trying to bind a datagridview to a tableadapter which contains a query that requires parameters (for the WHERE statement of the query). The datasource is a SQL Server database. When I bind the datagridview in design view, it does not let me choose which tableadapter method I would like to use. The way I've been fixing this is to go into the code behind that form, where Visual Studio puts in some auto-generated code that fills a datatable in the dataset and I change the method that it's using there and put in my parameters. I don't think this is the proper way to do it, however, especially because sometimes that code doesn't even get generated! My other solution is to just programatically bind the datagridview to a datatable which I have filled using the tableadapter. This seems like more work than it should be, though.
