VS 2008 List Box Data Binding Mode

I use the data binding mode to fill data into a list box, that is just fill all of the data in the table. if I want to group one of the table column and only display it in the listbox, how can I get this done? I know how to add a getData query to my table adapter, but how can I bind that new datatable to the list box at runtime?? cuz I need to put the data binding mode information in before I run the application and in the binding mode is no way to choose that getData query.

I have a DataRepeater that needs to display individual items from a List (Of T). The missing link between them is a BindingSource component.Everything works fine, i.e., the DataRepeater displays list items correctly, and I can add and delete items, even change using the TextBoxes on the DataRepeater.
The problem is that when I change the value of an item in the code, it doesn't get reflected on the DataRepeater. Only when I click a button on the form which executes this code:myBindingSource.ResetBindings(False)

VB 2008 .NET 3.5. I have a custom "Shipment" object that contains a list of "ShippingRate" objects. This list of "ShippingRates" is accessible through a property "Shipment.PossibleShippingRates." That property simply returns a copy of the list of "ShippingRate" for that particular Shipment.
My UI layer receives a list of "Shipment" objects from the BLL. This list is databound to a datagridview, and shows details relevant to the Shipment such as Shipping Address, etc.
I want to bind the "Shipment.PossibleShippingRates" property to a combobox, such that when the user changes the grid row, the combobox reflects the "PossibleShippingRates" for that "Shipment."
In addition, I need a way to store the "ShippingRate" they selected from the combobox for later use.
I have tried a few ideas, but none of them work properly.

I am binding the data from combobox to textbox.In the Combobox Click event i coded as below for binding:[code]In the above code only the first value is showing in the textbox but when i select next value in the combobox the value is not changing..Is any loop i need put for binding? I've done data binding to my Combos and it works fine but my data base has over 260 000 entries, so I can't let user to move trough it, one by one entry until finds a match.What I am looking for is that user select value from Combo Boxes and Text Boxes get filled in with a matching values from the same row.Auto Complete helps in selection but I still can't work it out how to get values to my text boxes.

I'm studying as a mature student for a Computing Degree (encompassing web design, hardware, programming and systems analysis). The programming seems to be my weak spot this year. I have inherited an application at work that someone else started creating, right now about 1/2 of it is functional and is in use. My problem is that it is all done in 2.5 ?? and I am trying to step through it all to figure out how it works. I have always created my own binding sources, adapters and data tables.
One of the things I need to do is add a field to the fm_fieldman_master data table. I add the field in the db (SQL Server 2005)table, I come into VS and refresh the datasource, I then add the field to the fm_fieldman_master data table and the Fill,GetDAta() query I go into the designer and create all the attributes for the combo box

there is a tab control system. It relies on only five text boxes, and their bindings change when the tab is changed The relevant information is displayed. However, if I navigate to a different record...You can see that the same information is displayed in the tab control text boxes, and not the employee's details I just selected in the data grid or the navigation. How can I fix this? I'm not sure what's gone wrong here. Here's the code that changes the text boxes upon changing tab...

Im doing my first project with WinForms, and Im trying to get the DataBinding working. Theres no database in my project, but I'd like to bind some of the TextBoxes to objects' properties. In the other section of this forum (here) I found this line of C# code which does it: textBox2.DataBindings.Add(new Binding("Text", this.myPerson, "LastName"));
my question is can data binding to object properties be set up during design time (without writing code)? If so, how? P.S. I know how I would set up this binding if in WPF, but I'm forced to use WinForms.

I want it so every time I click an ITEM in the Listbox it displays ALL the data into the textbox. I know there's an easy way using table adapters and binding the listbox, but I'd prefer to do it this way for my project.
So this is what I got.
Lst.DataSource = ds
Lst.DisplayMember = "tblStudent.FirstName"
Lst.ValueMember = "tblStudent.StudentID"

It only adds the first rows details to the text box when I click the second record the first rows details are still there.

I have a grid populated from a list. Now there are particular properties in this list that I don't want displayed on the grid. It displays all of the columns perfectly, then adds 2 others I didn't originally have on the grid when I constructed it in designer mode. I have removed them after the binding with DataGridView.Columns.Remove("ColumName"). However, is there a way to prevent it from adding these beforehand, or is this the only way?

I was wondering if its possible to bind a datagrid column to a list (Of T) thats stored within an observable collection!
Here's my current code:

This currently displays four rows of "(Collection)". Is it possible to step into one of these "Collection" rows and display the data? I know that this is possible to do with a list box by binding with a specific element in the collection:
ListBox1.ItemsSource = _BindWithThis.Item(0).DataValue
I just can't work out how to do this with a datagrid...

I've got lots of textboxes and such bound to a BINDING SOURCE - the datasource of the CASEFILEBS is set like this:

Seems "data saving" is not always being consistently done - sometimes a field change never makes it into the underlying datatable - sometimes certain field changes never make it to the DB. I believe I'm doing something fundamentally wrong that when fixed will clear up some of these issues.

i am using visual studio 2005 on win 7 with office 2007. i have developed win application. i am using microsoft activex spreadsheet component in my program. so it automatically creates reference to AxInterop.OWC11.dll When i run program in debug mode (open program and click RUN in toolbar it works) but if i run directly .exe (go to bin elease doubleclick .exe) it give error at loading point of that component. It says "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory has been corrupted." An unhandled exception occurrs.
