I am binding the data from combobox to textbox.In the Combobox Click event i coded as below for binding:[code]In the above code only the first value is showing in the textbox but when i select next value in the combobox the value is not changing..Is any loop i need put for binding? I've setup the DataSet and the DataSetBindingSource and all this appears to be working, within the form design I can expand the little arrow in the ComboBox control and preview the data. View 5 RepliesI've got a bound Combobox in a database for a lookup but when i set it up and change the data in the combo the program won't let me go and further. There is a data conflict but i don't know where. The problem is here in the combo setup:
Display member : ProductName (nvarChr(20)
Value Member : ProductID (int)
Selected Member: SelectedLookup (int)
This doesn't work. Everything is displayed in the dropdown by name but when i select a item. I can't go any further. If i change the Display member: to 'ProductID' the program works fine. but displays the ProductID where users won't understand. It's like it is trying to store the 'displayed member' Product Name instead in the Value Member 'ProductID'. if i use a list box instead the program works correctly.

This list of "ShippingRates" is accessible through a property "Shipment.PossibleShippingRates." That property simply returns a copy of the list of "ShippingRate" for that particular Shipment.
My UI layer receives a list of "Shipment" objects from the BLL. This list is databound to a datagridview, and shows details relevant to the Shipment such as Shipping Address, etc.
I want to bind the "Shipment.PossibleShippingRates" property to a combobox, such that when the user changes the grid row, the combobox reflects the "PossibleShippingRates" for that "Shipment."
In addition, I need a way to store the "ShippingRate" they selected from the combobox for later use.
I have tried a few ideas, but none of them work properly.
I have a DataGridView that is bound to a BindingSource. Below this are a group of textboxes that are associated with each column in the DGV. I tried to bind the textboxes to the BindingSource but realized their was no DataSource property for the textboxes. How can I bind them?

I use the data binding mode to fill data into a list box, that is just fill all of the data in the table. if I want to group one of the table column and only display it in the listbox, how can I get this done? I know how to add a getData query to my table adapter, but how can I bind that new datatable to the list box at runtime?? cuz I need to put the data binding mode information in before I run the application and in the binding mode is no way to choose that getData query.

I have inherited an application at work that someone else started creating, right now about 1/2 of it is functional and is in use. My problem is that it is all done in 2.5 ?? and I am trying to step through it all to figure out how it works. I have always created my own binding sources, adapters and data tables.

there is a tab control system. It relies on only five text boxes, and their bindings change when the tab is changed The relevant information is displayed. However, if I navigate to a different record...You can see that the same information is displayed in the tab control text boxes, and not the employee's details I just selected in the data grid or the navigation. Visual Basic 2010 Express: I have a form with a combobox that is populated with the names of locations from a datagrid which in turn was imported at run-time (Form_Load) from an Excel database. The Excel database (and the datagrid) also stores the information for addresses and phone numbers for their respective locations.
What I would like to do is have the phone number and address text boxes automatically be updated with the proper corresponding data when the user selects a location from the combobox. Whether the text boxes are updated from the datagrid or Excel database is not a concern; I'm mainly looking for whichever way is simpler.
