VS 2005 Saving Battery Level Variable To Text File?

Currently, I've encountered a problem where I do not how I can store the variable of my battery level in a text file. I tried .xml and .txt file and it returns me text which can't be read.The code related:

The place where I do not know what to insert is the "Insert Battery Percentage Here" part so I guess that's the problem.For your info, if you were to use a MsgBox to display, the code which displays that would be <MsgBox("Total battery power remaining: " & perFull * 100 & "%")>
Currently I am saving data from my applications by saving a text file via a stream reader as a string. I have come to a problem. In my current application, I have an array of the following structure:

A query concerning opening and saving a file.i have two commands, one the opens and another that saves [the same file].i'm using the StreamReader and StreamWriter methods.issue is this:if i comment out the open code, the save works fine.if i comment out the save code, the open works fine.if i let both run together, i get an error, usually with the save saying that the file could not be accessed. note, before anyone asks, i do close the file after saving or opening what could be the problem? open works fine, because it usually happens prior to the save, and then save process cannot access the file..?
I would like to know if it is possible to make my application be able to save the file as the current date. the idea is to have it where the staff login to the application and the application opens the file with the current day.
This means that in the morning before staff open the program the office staff can put up the information, i.e. like briefing sheet, daily notes. etc
Using VS2005. The code below saves a datagrid (datagridview1) to XML file and works well. But if newPat is true then I want to save the extra data in the XML file as well. But it doesn't work for some reason. When newPat is true it just saves the XML file as normal but without the extra row.
It seems this code is not working what so ever. I tried replacing dr("patientName") = gridrow.Cells("patientName").Value with dr("patientName") = "test" And it didn't work, it still saved the names that were in the grid.

I'm currently working on a program to store files and information. I'm wanting the program to be able to have multi-user logins i.e. there are numerous combinations of usernames and Passwords. I've created a program that will create new accounts and save them in a .bin file (in the form Username Password). However, now I need to use the user accounts to grant access to a form.
how to permanently save to text files then re-open all of the information again using SFD and OFD. Now my teacher has come back at me and said that i need to be able to save the information from multiple text boxes and have the text in certain labels to also be saved into the one text file (the labels need to be done because it is a database and these labels are like the fields and the right text box needs to match the right label)

I have an asp page with vb.net code that will query a database and present the user with the number of records that exist that need to be exported along with a button to export them. After you push the export button, it will prompt for a location and filename. But after that, it will not refresh the page with the new counts that now exist. Or in this case update the count to zero for the button they clicked. [Code] So how can I tell the page to refresh with the new counts. It almost seems like I need to tell the process to wait until after the user has finished finding the location and saving the file but I don't want to add a generic threading.thread.sleep in, I want it to only wait until they are done and then refresh the page.

I need a static variable to get a ListItemCollection from a List control (I can do this, but if I don't set it as Shared It's not preserving the values as it should). The thing is that this class is a SharePoint webpart, so I most probably will be using the webpart more than once, and I need this variable to be unique to each webpart, which shared doesn't accomplish.I tried everything you can imagine. I just need to know where my code is jacked -up at, I get an error when I created the module level variable ( class statement must end with a matching end class) problem is that every time I add an end class the next procedure is wrong with the same error, so what can I do to resolve this and why is this error coming up. Im creating a registration application where i have a listbox that displays a Course Name column and a Credit Hours column. I also have a textbox that keeps a running total of the credit hours of each course added to the list. When i remove a specific item from the list, i also want to subtract the number of the selected item from the running total in the text box. Essentially i just want to subtract a certain part of a list item from a variable i have.
