VS 2005 How To Direct To Another Page

here's my problem.. i'm using a gridview control, and then i put a select column on the grid. My questions are, how to retrieve the data on one of the field in the gridview and then it will direct me to the another page.. (see example below)

once i click the "select" on the gridview, I will direct to another page(ex, Default.aspx) and then at the same time the value on "LastName" field of the corresponding row which i selected will display on the another page(ex, Default.aspx)

I have a Web application (Help Desk Ticket System) with an inbox to monitor incoming requests and made some filter buttons that help the user arrange the requests based on requester name, creation date, etc.
Every filter will simply call the same page but will add some code to the query string. Example, if the user presses a button labeled [Sort by Date] here is the code behind for that button:

But I know that Response.Redirect does not accept javascript, and I don't want to split the code between Code Behind file, and ASPX file (adding OnClientClick attribute) because I will need to perform both VB instructions and also redirecting the user.

i have 2 textbox for name and password and a buttonthere 2 table, one admin and one customerafter i enter the customer name and password , it verify whether empty or incorrect password , if correct it will go to the customer pagehowever if i enter admin name and password and after verify it should go to the admin pagei am only able to allow use one table for the login ? so how should i change the code below?

I need to open a new instance of IE and direct it to a web page when a user takes a specific action.Used are random so setting anything on their machine is not an option.This works great on my local machine in developent but when deployed to my server it fails with no error.I must be missing a permission or something simple understanding that on the server things are run under the ASPNET account.My code is in a code class, myCode.We are in VS 2008 and IIS 6.Tried a couple of different things, they all fail silently.

I want to know if I can directly read or write values in the current process in a Visual Basic 2005 Windows application. Like *(DWORD*)(0x123456) = 1; in C++ will write the value 1 at the address 0x123456. So anyway to do the same in VB using only built in functions and not using ReadProcessMemory and WriteProcessMemory?

From few days I am doing efforts to read web pages using webbrowser control in my desktop application. But it is very slower than my expectations(because I want to read lots of pages in minutes and browser control reads almost one page in 5 to 10 seconds), what I need is to read two or three tags written in web page.
So finally I decided to use something, which can give me only source code of page. I think StreamReader will help me to read it. I am not sure if it is flaxible with my purpose, or something else is there which can give me only html source code of web page.
I have written this code to read html code, but it gives error.

and this works on most pages. Now I'm going to a page that I guess there are errors in the page and I get a box asking me if I want to debut in IE's built in script debugger or something to that effect. Is there any way to have the system ignore this message and continue to load the page as normal

i'm working on a desktop application in vb.net, using vs 2005 and mssql 2005. i want to refresh the pages everytime i insert a record, but i only succeeded by having a load button where user has to click everytime they add a record to view the new record. I am writing a report to an excel template and am trying to insert a page break into the report. Part of my code is included:

Now the pagebreak code executes but it does nothing. Its almost as if it is being ignored. Also I have heard that using Microsoft.Office.Interop is not a good idea as it is slow and unstable.

I have a master page which contains everything that inherits it within a form. A page inheriting from it needs to run some javascript to act on a text field on a page. However, I can't seem to reference that text field through the javascript, since the form begins on the master page. The following line will come up bogus: document.form1.txtFindUser.value = blah.responseText; This is because form1 is defined on the master page, while txtFindUser is on the current page.

Does anyone know why a Page_Load would be called twice on a page when requesting an aspx page?I am using .Net 2.0 with the new .net 1.1 compilation model installed. Whenever I request a page, the Page_Load on the aspx page appears to be called twice, so does the Page_Load on and user controls added to that page.
