I'm trying to select all the work's accidents between two dates, but my datatype in sql server 2000 is varchar instead datetime.
For example when i want the fields from 01/01/2010 to 01/10/2010 it shows me all the values from 01 to 10 but from other year and month. I know the easy way to do it is changing my datatype into the database but when i do it the value saved into the table is 01/01/1900.
I am making a window based application in vb.net. Now i have work in two sql databases, so i when the window opens it will show two databases..when i select first db then i can work in that particular db only..if select 2nd db then i can work in second db only..how to do that?

Suppose if I select two dates june 21 and june 30 then records between 21 and 30 including 21 and 30 should be shown. But the records of june 30 is not shown..only from 21 to 29 is shown by this code. What should I add or edit to this code?
I have a listbox populated with dates in the format of dd/mm/yyyy e.g. 12/03/1983, 06/07/1987 etc.. am using sql 2005 and vb 2008.i need to compare dates and select matching records betweem a selected date range.say records between 11/13/2010 and 11/20/2010.e.thing is working ok except when it comes to selecting dates between 11/1/2010 and 11/9/2010.this is happening because when am retrieving the dates from database,its being retrieved in the format 11/01/2010 instead of 11/1/2010 and so it reports no records found,and knowing the limits of sql 2005 this is the only way i can retrieve the date. I have a textbox (named textbox1) and a checkbox next to it. I want the checkbox to be ticked (.checked) when ever the value in the textbox is between 1 and 100, the checkbox to not be ticked when theres nothing in there, and for it not to be ticked when the value is < 1 and > 100. Figured a case statement would be the easiest. (this piece of code is just a validation check, basically in the real thing the user would have to enter in a value between 1 and a given number, and need to tell the user if that value is valid).

But what happens is, if I enter in the value 1 in the textbox, the checkbox becomes ticked, as it should. It tick with any values between 2 and 99 (any number not starting with 1) but the checkbox becomes ticked again when the value is 100. For any other range, say 1 to 70, the checkbox would be ticked if the value in the textbox is 1 to 7, or any number starting with 1 or 7, but not 8 or 9, or any number starting with 8 or 9.

View 8 RepliesCreate an application that allows the user to select or enter into a combo box the number of days a person will work, and calculates the total amount of pay she will receive over that period of time. Salary is one penny the first day, two pennies the second day, four pennies the third say, and continuing to double each day.
The combo box must list the following items: 30, 180, 365, and 1000. Must be the default drop down box. Use a validating event procedure on the combo box.
The program should go through a loop once for each day, doubling the number of pennies with each iteration of the loop. You will need a running totl of the number of pennies that you add to with each iteration. To calculate the total amount of pay, multiply the total number of pennies by .01 and show the result in currency format.
