VS 2008 DataGridView And TabControl And UserControl/
May 25, 2009
I have a form where the user will choose multiple clients from a subform that has a DGV.Each row has a checkbox indicating that it has been selected. When the user is finished selecting the clients, I need to store the selected clients ID Number, Name, and Program Number either in a temp table or another method to only handle about 30 records. After that part is done, I need to create a new tab for each client which has a UserControl on the tab. I have the new tab thing working but I need to learn to apply the client to the first new tab/user control then create another and so on.
Private Sub frmCaseNts_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load
I have a TabControl on a UserControl. I want the UserControl to behave like a TabControl as usual (it contains only the TabControl and a Contextmenu), including Design-time behavior.I have spent the last two weeks finding out how to add the Design-time behavior and I think I have come a far way.The problem is with adding TabPages during Design-time (while the UserControl is a custom tabcontrol, it is using regular windows forms TabPages). In the Designer class, I have the following code to add a TabPage:
vb.net Dim dh As IDesignerHost = DirectCast(GetService(GetType(IDesignerHost)), IDesignerHost) If dh IsNot Nothing Then Dim i As Integer = tc.SelectedIndex Dim name As String = GetNewTabName() Dim tab As TabPage = TryCast(dh.CreateComponent(GetType(TabPage), name), TabPage) tab.Text = name tc.Controls.Add(tab)
[code]....
So it would add the control to the TabPages collection if it was a TabPage, and use the regular routine otherwise.
(I'm now using 'tc.Controls.Add(tab)' again instead of 'tc.tabCtrl.TabPages.Add')
But, I don't think the designer even gets that far because it is telling me I cannot add TabPages to my usercontrol, because only TabControls can accept TabPages... How can I make my usercontrol understand that it is a TabControl (without Inheriting from a TabControl?)
I have a usercontrol which has a number of labels on it. The usercontrol acts a bit like a listbox but I can control the background and foreground color of the labels it contains - nothing fancy use it for logging a process - a bit like a scrolling console window.I have a form with 3 of these controls, Progress, Errors, and a debug logger. Works fine when placed on a form until I add a tab control with three paces and place each usercontrol on a tabpage. then random labels are not updated.
Well, the title pretty much says it all. I have a user control that is a a collection of six label controls. three are used as visual color indicators, and the other three are used as the corresponding value for each color indicator. (It's sort of like a legend key on a chart or map.) I have created a custom class to store the three values, and the associated methods to interact with the values. (I can probably use a structure instead of a class, but right now, I don't want to discuss that.) My problem, is that I want to show my user control inside a cell of a DataGridView. I've looked at the examples that create a MaskedTextBox DataGridViewCell, but I can't seem to get it to work. Here is what I have:
I have an tabcontrol which has dynamically added the tabpages now i want to add datagridview controls in each tab pages how i can do this.I am written the code like
For i = TabControl1.TabPages.Count - 1 To 0 Step -1 Dim dtg As New DataGridView TabControl1.TabPages(i).Controls.Add(dtg)
i have a datagridview in a UserControl,i try to refresh it after i insert a data from another form, but i can't get it work.I've tried using delegates, and if i try to show message after i insert data,it shows, but the datagridview can't be refill..Is it possible to refresh datagridview on a UserControl? Here are my codes :
pnlHakUser Public Sub loadData() Me.dgvProduk.DataSource = "" dt.Clear()
I am not sure whether it is possible or not? need suggestion.I want to display filenames from 2 different folders into 2 different DataGridview controls that are placed in 2 tab pages of TabControl1. Here is the code that I have tried. By running this code, I can able to show the filenames from a folder onto DataGridView1 in Tabpage1 but not in DataGridView2 of tabpage2.
Problem: My datagridview is moving from a tabcontrol onto the main form when I execute the below code. I desire it to stay in the original position. Details:
1) I created a MAIN datagridview1 for my master on tab 2 (OK) - this is for editing, deleting etc.
2) I created datagridview3 on tab 1 for implementing 2 textbox filters (OK)
3) The actual filter code fires on changing of values in two text boxes
The above works perfect except when the code below is executed, datagridview3 moves from tab1 of my tabcontrol to my main form. How do I keep it from moving (desired) or at the least move it back to control tab 1?
I have a project with a form in which I have a tabcontrol with several tab pages. In each tabpage I have a datagridview and some textboxes and some comboboxes. I managed to refresh one datagridview but it stopped working. - I don't know why. Here's what I did:
Public Sub RefreshGRD() Me.Adapter.Fill(Me.DataSet,"table") End SUb
And I called this fnction before closing the connection for each button that adds or deletes or updates. Before calling it I cleared the dataset.
I have MainLayout.master that has UC_Menu.ascx on it. I have a page named Customer.aspx that uses MainLayout.master. Customer.aspx also contains a UserControl named UC_Details.ascx.How can I have UC_Menu.ascx call a function that is in UC_Details.ascx with this scenario?
I have a Windows Form frmMain() holding seven more-or-less unrelated UserControls, ucFlopsy", "ucMopsy", "ucCottontail", etc...I say "more-or-less" because each of the seven UC has three similar public read/write properties:
IsLocked (a boolean indicating if the following two properties are "Locked") IsLockedID (if IsLocked=True then IsLockedID is an integer) IsLockedName (if IsLocked=True then IsLockedName is a string)
I have a Windows Form that contains a custom control container as a UserControl. For the sake of this question, this custom control container is called Dashboard. This container called Dashboard contains numerous other controls depending on their permissions. I need to raise events that are contained on these controls through the Dashboard control and over to the Windows Form.
How can I bubble up the event? I'm using VB.NET for this project, but can convert C# into VB.NET.Also, to complicate matters, the main Windows Form is a VB6 project. So, I'm using the InteropFormsToolkit to accomplish this.
I have two UserControls on a MasterPage. DataEntryUC contains several TextBoxes and DropDownList. NavSaveUC contains navigation buttons. When the user clicks on a navigation button, I will be saving the data entered into DataEntryUC from the NavSaveUC UserControl.
I have a couple of tables in my DB that contain stored procedure names, control names, control types, SqlDbTypes, etc.... that correlate with DataEntryUC.
How do I reference a text box that is on DataEntryUC from NavSaveUC?
I have been working on the following code from NavSaveUC with no luck.
Dim MyControlName = "txtFirstName" Dim MyControlType = "TextBox" Dim MyStringValue as String
I have a usercontrol that has a main form and calls another form within the usercontrol to get some data from a database that allows the user to select some items from a CheckedListBox control on the sub form. I want to pass the selected items from the CheckedListBox back to the main form and display the results there. I have a public property called DBList of type List(of String) on the main user control. If I create a reference to the usercontrol form the second form within the usercontrol I get a new instance of a user control. All I want to do is set the property on the usercontrol and close the secondary form. How do I reference the usercontrol from the form within the usercontrol?
Code in UserControl:
Public Property DBItems() As List(Of String) Get Return DBItems
I am looking for a way to tell when a tab has taken focus. I tried the gotfocus call but it doesn't seem to get called when I click on the tab. Did a quick search on google but can't seem to find the answer.
So using webbrowser, I created a browser. It's tabular and the tabs show the documenttitle of the site. My question is, is it possible to create a picture box in the tab control, to ad the favicon image? Like modern browsers which show the favicon before the document title.
i want to paint a usercontrol icon to a graphics object ... how would i go about doing this?Eg display the TextBox's usercontrol icon on a form in my app as it appears on the toolwindow.
I want to make a usercontrol that I can then use on my project form, and then interact with it. (for example, get the result of a calculation that was made in the user control and then make futher calculations on my form) I basicly know how to make a Usercontrol, by not how to use the information that it derives for further use.
I'm wondering if there's an easier way to do what I'm trying to do, because right now it seems like I have to program all the functionality manually. Here's my situation. I have a UserControl with a single Radiobutton on it.When the radiobutton is clicked, it marks the UserControl as "checked" and does some nice OnPa
I'm just not able to add a custom TabControl to my project. I have found a custom tabControl here: [URL]. The CustomTab consists out of 4 .vb files. Normally I would add a component (.dll or exe) to my project. I tried adding the 4 .vb files but unfortunately no CustomTabControl.
I have created a customized tab control (i.e. inserted a 'close' image to the right side of the tabpage, which accepts click envent). Hence, the Drawmode property of the control is set to 'OwnerDrawFixed'. Now I want to insert a icon(likely favicon) to the left side of the tab page. Since the drawmode property is set to 'OwnerDrawFixed', I was unable to use the Imagelist property.
In my form I have a TabControl that has 13 TabPages. I have been able to print the Entire form, but I would like to just print everything in various (not all) TabPages. Each of the TabPages have a several PictureBoxes and several Labels.
It's quite strange... The text headers of the tabcontrol's tabpages are gone... Even when I set them again, they are not disappear, design-time nor run-time.
I've been scouring the Net, but I can't find anything really useful on how to set a default button in a user control (everythings for ASP). I can imagine the brute force method of handling the keypress for each control within the control and checking to see if the Enter key was pressed, and if so, calling a PerformClick on my desired button... But I just have difficulty imagining that this will be the best method, especially on Search Controls that have 30-40 subControls on them. I've tried just handling the KeyPress event at the control level but it never gets called when a sub control has focus.
Another problem with the brute force method is that some of the controls within my UserControls are themselves UserControls containing several controls, so I would have to handle each sub control within the sub-user-controls and create EnterKeyPressed events that were raised when one of the sub-sub-controls received an Enter KeyPress. This could go on for several levels. Then I would need to handle all these events. This seems like an unnecessary layer of complexity.
Is there some way to create a routine that perhaps automates the above? Or just a simple workaround? I know I can set the Accept and Cancel Buttons of a form, but I have a form with a TabControl that has a UserControl on each tab. Each one of these tabs needs its own Default Button.
determine if a tabpage of a tabcontrol is being hovered over.I wanna set a property to true if it is hovered over and if it is I will then highlight it.this is what I have
vb.net Private _MouseHover As Boolean Public Property IsMouseHovered() As Boolean Get
[code]....
this clearly will put it over any tab page I need to make the property specific for each tab page.
