Is there a method like ebBrowser1.Document.Image(0).SaveImageToFile("C:Image.jpg") ?
I'm trying to make an application that downloads all the images from a photo album on the web. The user will navigate to the first image in the gallery and the program should download all images in full resolution automatically.
I have a working version now, but it is not satisfactory. Here is a simplified version of the code I use now for saving the images:
Private Sub startDownloading Handles WebBrowser1.DocumentCompleted
My.Computer.Network.DownloadFile(WebBrowser1.Document.Images(0).GetAttribute("src"), "C:image.jpg")
End Sub
This way, after the page with the image has fully loaded, it downloads the image using the Network.DownloadFile-method. So, it download the same file twice. But these files are big and websites are slow. Which makes the whole operation take about twice as long as it has to.
Is there a way to directly save the image-file that has already loaded in the WebBrowser-control, without having to download the image again?
I have 2 save buttons on my form, 1 which saves all textbox contents to a .txt file, and 1 which saves a image capture of the active window to a jpg. Both work fine, on the same form i have 2 picture boxes which the images are loaded into based of a list box like so:
I'm trying to make it so the the images will save to the folder that you selected in the textbox1.text from the folderbrowser this is the code's I have tried
However, urldownloadfile will use proxy that internet explorer use. That part is what I want. The thing is the proxy used authentication. The proxy in internet explorer is authenticated. Using urldownloadfile will faile with error. It works without proxy.Anotehr is to copy the image to clipboard. That method is not reliable when user switch to another.
I have created a simple drawing program in vb 2010 and am trying to add the ability to create multiple images and put them in a slide show type thing similar to powerpoint. The only problem is that I do not know how to save multiple images to a file and open it back up again. For example:If I have created 5 images, I want all five to save to one file, and be reopened as one file but 5 different images.
I'm wounder if it's possible to save both string and images to the same binary file? I know that you can save them independently with one file for strings and one for images. But i would like to save both in to the same file.
If it's not possible with binary files, when what's my options?
What type of connector do i need to actually save the Map data like point of the images (x,y coordinate) into the database . and then retrieve it to show on the page in asp.net and how do i go about doing it.
I was thinking to make an app to save images [or download images] to local hard disk. But to keep it easy, I want this app to create a small picturebox on form to show the thumbnail of downloaded image. Lets say a 5 pictureboxes has to be added with the thumbnails to show the recent downloads. A user can save the location where he wants to save the files on hard disk. A listbox or a dropdown menu will help in categorizing the images, like image1 in friends section, image2 in family section, image3 in others, etc... When the program restarts all the latest 5 thumbnails has to be loaded in pictureboxes and the directory that was chosen. Finally, a button that shows the downloaded images into original image file size one by one or a slide show. Is it possible to make such program?
I'm making a program and in which the user can select a background image from their computer, but I have not found a way to save the picture to my.settings or my.resources
Is there anyway I can get a web browser to open / render the text of a RTB without saving the file? I don't want to save it because it contains sensitive data.
Does anyone have any suggestions how I might store the contents of a RichTextBox that also includes images to a MSSQL 2005 database?I suppose a possible answer to this would be to convert the entire content of the RichTextBox to a Byte Array, and then insert the array as a varbinary(max) datatype. But how do I convert the content ?
I start some new project and i finding some way to save image from webbrowser to file. I can find url and get file. But i need cached file from webbrowser, bacause its generated :/ . I make lot of googling but no result..
I am loading an html page into a WebBrowser object in a VB.NET Windows Forms application. The user may make changes to textboxes, dropdowns, etc. on the HTML page displayed in the browser. I want the ability to save the current context to a .pdf file on the local HD. I am able to print using WebBrowser.Print(), which shows the current context, but what ways are possible to get this saved as a PDF file locally?
I am utilizing a webbrowser control in vb.net 2005 to display excel workbooks
We are using this control to open excel documents. Webbrowser.ShowSaveAsDialog() allows the user to save the excel workbook open at any location he wants
However, I don't want the user to decide where to save. Is there any way to save an excel document from the webbrowser control without going through the ShowSaveAsDialog?
On closing of webbrowser, a simple prompt to user whether he/she would like to save changes should be fine enough
As of now, I can close webbrowser control and it does not prompt the user to save the changes. Actually, all changes are lost until and unless I perform a save (Ctrl+S) manually
I have researched the net, youtube, and the msdn DB, and still can not find the working answer I am looking for. I would like someone to show me how you would save the contents of "Listbox1" to a .txt file using the "Save As" Option. I know how to hardcode a savepoint in, but since there will be multiple users I would like the option to be up to the end-user.
i am creating a web browser using microsoft vb.net 2008 and i want to save all images only displaying on any web page in my browser. i have added check box to save images. browser.PNG when i click on check box , the browser will prompt to save only images files on web page.
My question is simple (the answer may not be...), What I am looking for is a way to save a file as an encrypted file (so know one can open it except in visual basic or a way to save it with a unique ending that only visual basic will recognize. I will also need to know of a way to open or load the file to.
This is going to be used in a game I am working on (and yes...I know visual basic isn't really meant for games, but it is coming together pretty well). I was originally going to have it save as a text file, but then everyone could open, read it and even change there stats. That is what this file will contain, the stats for their character, and when they load it, it will place the values into the correct spot.
I am a partial beginner or intermediate coder, I can understand code, I just don't know all there is, like saving and loading, and this is probably a little harder.
I am attempting to make a web browser But I want it so it will not download any images And just show text and forms to save time on loading. I have found some things on how to do this but its all in C#
file that requires images as part of technical explanations, so I have a form that opens that contains only a webbrowser control. I have designed my html document that views correctly in IE9 (images and all) and imported that as a resource. I then set that resource as the DocumentText of the webbrowser control. However, when the form opens the text is fine but no images - just placeholders! I am not trying to do anything fancy - the webbrowser control doesn't navigate away from the displayed doc at all and being distributed i don't really want to have to distribute the images seperately (hence using resource)
I have a form, who should show me a image. In the form, I put a Open File Dialog, and select the image. After this, with the filename, I can open and show the image. But, What I wanna do do is the following:In my application folder, I wanna create a folder named "Images". And, after the user select the image with the Open File Dialog, I wanna copy the image to that folder. After this, my app opens all the images from this folder.I can I copy the file to the folder images?
Is it possible to search for images ONLY in WebBrowser? For example, my keyword in textbox1 is 'clouds' and when the button is clicked WebBrowser must show only images of that keyword.
The app i am working on is for creating theme for the iPod touch... It has to deal with LOTS of images (100's potentially) There will be the set of default images, and then the user created replacement images. I started loading all the defaults into a resx file... thinking then I could just pull them out. now that I started setting the default, this sucks! lol the app will do this, on load it will set all the images (variables) to the resx images then when a theme is loaded, it will replace the default with the user image (if the user img exists) otherwise, the default stays. Then the "screen" is drawn to show the user. so, here is just the images to build the wallpaper, dock, and status bar...
Its a League Organizer, basicly ive started it off with 16 teams and end up with 1(winner) 16 box's on the far left, then 8, then 4, then 2, then 1. the 16 box's have "Team 1" "Team 2" etc... ive put a new/clear/open/save button in that order.
BUT this is my problem..when i save(Save Button) the text file saves all the text wrong it ends up like this...Team 1Team 2Team 3Team 4 Etc...
But i want it to save like this
Team 1 Team 2 Team 3 Team 4 Etc...
The code is...
Dim Save As New SaveFileDialog Save.Filter = "Text Files (*.txt)|*.txt|ALL FILES (*.*)|*.*"
I am currently trying to get a WebBrowser object not to download flash and images. This is just to make a lightweight browser. I know this can be done within the IE settings, but i would prefer it on an application level.
Public Class Form1 Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click WebBrowser1.Navigate(New Uri("http:google.co.uk")) End Sub End Class
I have found some C# code, but i dont know how to change it to VB.Net and the convertors make some bugs, which i do not know how to fix
