I'm developing a new programme that uses multiple table to store Orders placed via my website, on the form that i have created i have a Combobox that displays the Point of sale name. what i need it to do is when the record is updated in need the Point_of_sale_ID value that matches the name from the Point_Of_Sale table to be put into the Point_of_Sale_ID field on the Sales_Order tableI have added the Foreign Keys for the fields, but i cannot find any help in regards to this, i mainly wor with PHP but have taken on the new challenge of VB & ADO.Net, i have rear several book on the subject and have produced several single table programs but am now stuck!! I have a data logging application that stores data in a table in a MySQL database. Data with a TimeStamp is logged into the table anytime the data from the sensor changes. This means that there maybe 2 seconds between data points or there maybe 20 seconds between points depending on how the data is changing.
When I need the data I have 2 dates and use this command to fill a table..SELECT FROM myTable WHERE timeStamp > date1 AND timeStamp < date2 This gets all the data that has a TimeStamp between the given dates, but in most case the first date in the returned table will be after date1, so I need to get the data from one row before the date returned in the table to know what the data was at date1.How can I get the data row that immediately precedes the returned data set?

I have a problem inserting data into a table on a MySQL database using a VB.NET application. I have a simple form where when I set some data to the textboxes and I press a GO button, the code should execute a function called InsertCar() that takes all these values and insert them into the database and then return true if the transaction is done successfully or false otherwise. My problem is that nothing is being inserted into the table.

My problem is with the tickets table, I have listed the user that created the ticket, the tech who will solve the ticket and a user that over sees the ticket. All three users reference the users table. So how do I can I query the tickets table and get all three users that reference the same table storing the users?
Table1: Tickets

How can I update local dataset with mysql database without making duplicates. Assuming I set some column in mysql as primary key, which has unique string.
adapter.fill will just add duplicates, but adapter.clear before that is not an option.
So I want to update if the key column is the same with mysql data and if there is option for ignore adding new row.

At moment iam trying to fetch some data out of a mysql database.hope i can explain well what i try to do.Okay i made a form with some text field and a combobox.What i want is at start when the form loads that all the last name will get catcht out of the mysql database. all those last names should go in the combobox.now i have a few textboxes like adress phone number living place go onWhat i try to do now is when all those lastnames are in the combo box when i select a nameand press the button to update that it will catch the info from that user out of the mysql database and puts the info in the right textfields.What i got so far is a succesfull connection to the mysql database.

I'm making a game that I'm connecting mysql to it. I have a labels that display stuff. Such as your username,level,gold. I'd like to know how I would make the label display that information. For each label a different one. Like on label is their level. One is their username. So on and so forth.

When He double clicked on that program, it (program) automatically puts the User ID and Password in Yahoo Messenger relevant fields and automatically presses the Login Button. I need a little advice in manipulating DataGridView in Visual Basic .Net. This is my first time playing with DataGridView. My program is to load a .txt file containing data of every room in a building and display them in the DataGridView. Here is a portion of the file showing 2 rooms:
1;1812;1812;F18;T1;26808.16;.00;.00;.00;.00;.00;.00;
1;1813;1813;F18;T1;24000.00;3500.00;.00;300.00;.00;.00;.00
A room is a one-line string that ends with an endline character.I have no problem with loading the file and getting all these information. I store data of each room into an object of class Room, and put them in a list.Right now, I put all of the properties of the room into the data grid's columns like this:
Now, how can I put all these rooms' data into the grid? I tried follow [URL].. at first, but setting DataSource to a list of class Room imitating from the given link doesn't show anything in the grid view.How can we tell the program to link rows of the grid to a list of objects? Or am I doing it wrong?
