Basically the forum size is set to 600x2000 but the client should only allow you to view 600x600. I want it to add +1 once you "collide with a invisable box I'll add and this will redraw the screen.

i have made an application which will capture screen shot and frequently will saves in word doc autmatically. but it will take whole screen.now my req is to take snap particular area of the screen selected by mouse.
i want to give the ability for a user to drag an area on the screen that they want and a that area to be print screened. or alternativly they click anywhere and that location is the top left of the box and then when they next click that location is the bottom right of the box and that box is print screened. I'm designing a player application to accompany our phone system. As our calltakers take calls, it makes recordings of each call. They can go to a list module, find a recording and double click, which opens my player. The issue i have is that if the calltaker gets another call, my player doesn't know it and will continue playing. I'm looking for a way to monitor the screen in a particular area and when it sees yellow or red instead of blue, it will pause my player.
The phone system does not have any API's that I can hook onto, so I have to try it another way.
The screen resolution never changes and the queue buttons where they receive calls will always be static. When they get a call, a small area changes from the background color blue to yellow or red to indicate a call.

So I'm trying to take a screen capture of the windows form and display only a certain specified area of that screen capture in a picturebox on a different form. Kind of like this. First, take the screen capture of the form: Then get a specified area of that form through x,y coordinates or something and display it on a picturebox on a separate form.
Edit: Fixed, I created a compatibleDC for the graphics object, and a handle for the bitmap (using b.gethbitmap), then used the SelectObject function inside GDI to select those two, and used the compatibleDC instead of hDc in the BitBlt function I've been trying to draw a bitmap to the screen (device 0), however I have encountered a problem copying the graphics using BitBlt.
Initially, I was drawing directly to the desktop using SetPixel (gdi32), but it was slow, so now I am setting the pixels of a bitmap object and then creating graphics from that object, and copying the hdc of the graphics to the screen.My guess is that I am adding the HDC of the graphics object to an intptr, which essentially gives me the HDC of the container of the graphics object, which is not what I need. However even so, I have not found any information on how I could copy a bitmap to a device other than using BitBlt.

The way it works is it calls the function setpx, given a location and color from within a loop iterating through all of the pixels in a box (50x50 in my code). The setpx function will then call the setpixel fuction on a bitmap b. This part is working fine.Next, it will define a graphics object g from the bitmap, and I use BitBlt to copy g's hdc (g.gethdc) to the screen. This is not working correctly?
I designed a form and managed to fit graphics inside it. Picture box is 465 pixels high. Form1 is 500 pixels high. SnapShot of the screen verifies that the 500 pixel height is the overal height. It includes the upper Bar and lower frame. Is there an instruction to set the From's inner pixel size and not overal?
I would like to display my splash screen for a set amount of time (5 seconds). While the splash screen is displayed, I added code to the load function to determine which form to load next. I have the splash screen selected in the Application Properties settings. I also have to select a "Startup form:" in the Application Properties settings.

My code is evaluating a table on one sheet and if the record meets the criteria it is copy and pasted into a target worksheet. While it runs the screen is flashing as it updated each line. I thought I saw that you could disable this screen refresh until the program was complete. Can anyone tell me how this would be done? Below is a section fo the code which is performaing this task.

I have a button btnRegEx that when pressed shows a ContextMenuStrip, similar to the '>' button in the Find/Replace dialog in Visual Studio when you are using Regular Expressions. I have a ContextMenuStrip cms which I show using its Show(x,y) method.
At first I was simply setting x and y (the location of the ContextMenuStrip) to some point next to the button, but I noticed that when the button is close to the edge of the screen it goes off screen. I wanted to prevent that so I built some logic into the x-y calculation. When the ContextMenuStrip width is larger than the 'remaining space left' I simply show it more to the left. Same for its Height of course. I am using the Screen.GetWorkingArea(point) method to determine the 'remaining space left'. As I understand it, it returns the working area closest to the point you specify (to which I pass the button's location).
As long as I stay on my first monitor, it is all working perfectly fine. The problem occurs when I move the form to my second monitor. The contextmenustrip is still showing on the first monitor for some reason...

I have noticed that when I click the button when the form is on the second monitor, the buttons location (p) is calculated with the first monitor's top-left corner as (0,0), even though it is on the second monitor. This way, the GetWorkingArea function returns something like 1280, while the buttons x-location is something like 1700... So, how do I get the buttons coordinate relative to the actual screen it is on, rather than the entire dual monitor screens as a whole?

I have develop VB 2008 that can preview the image through 2 webcams. However, when i run my VB and select to preview through my USB webcam, it display dark screen. I start either, a VB.Net or VBA procedure and within 30 seconds the Excel worksheet (previously displayed) blanks out. In both VB.Net and VBA,ScreenUpdating = False. I'm making a project that has a bunch of different types of calculators in the same tab within a tab control. To organize these calculators, I put each one in a groupbox, there are about 5 or 6 in all. When I was finished designing all of them, I placed all the groupboxes in the spot they needed to be, but once I started creating the events for them to be visible or not visible there are a bunch that don't show up. I think it has to do with the fact that VB thinks that the groupbox is part of another groupbox that isn't visible so it doesn't show.
How can I go about only showing a single calculator at once in my tab?
I want to be able to click and drag the mouse over the picturebox to create a selection area and I want it to snap an image to each place on the picturebox that it can. So if I have it set to snap to 50 pixels, and I select the points (50,50) - (100,100) I should get back 4 points: (50,50), (50,100), (100,50), and (100,100). The thing is though, It can't loop through every single location.
