VS 2010 Changing Buttons Pictures?

Not as easy as it sounds, I've been doing alot of research on this and I just about decided I can't find the answer, The Goal:I want to be able add a single image to a form from a selection of images with the click of a button, this would probably work much better with java but I know nothing about java so I am using vb
Progress:So far I have decided to just try and find way to change the buttons background image to display the image I want, so I set up lots of buttons in a form with the text "+" which simply means add a photo. Now I binded the buttons to a context strip with text saying what image I can change the buttons backgroundimage to.Questions:I need to know how to make the buttons background image change from the click of one of the options on the context strip. Is this even possible?

I am working on a project that requires me to read a table of items, and then display the items as button with a photo for a POS system. Any suggestions on how to implement this? This project is using .NET 3.5 and a SQL Compact 3.5 database as a data store.I am using windows forms over an MDI form.

how to go about changing the tooltip on 114 buttons. As you can see from the code below I need to change the tooltip information based on if there is data in an array of structures. I tried creating a string of the button name and passing it on but that did not work.

Using VB/VS 2010 and am trying to provide the user with a way to change the color of the control buttons on my main windows form. I'm starting with the button click event that then calls another sub-form (code shown respectively below).
I was testing with DirectCast as I need to deal with a multitude of button controls (i.e., will have more than the two shown below).
I would like to know how to deal with the following:
1. How do I save the BackColor so when the user opens the form for the first time (or any other time thereafter) the color set earlier appears (the default via properties is green).
2. When I click on the button for the first time and change the color it doesn't change until I click the button again.

Basically I have a semi-solid idea of how to do this from Googling but it isn't complete as of yet since this is really advanced for my current level - but 'I' must get it done nonetheless.I am aiming to have an application which screenshots another and looks for a picture in that screenshot, compares it to one the user input and then moves the mouse to the location of that picture.
I.e. The large square represents the applications bounds, while the 4 panels are where the images could be. The images in the application will always be the same size, shape etc... and only within that area.
The user will input, into a text box say "XZ1" then the program shall take a sample picture of "X" stored locally, try and find where it is on the 4 panels and store that data. Loop till the end, then move the cursor to those three positions after all have been determined.

Im using a black n white image of a human as my back ground and panels to display the same bits in color when the area is clicked. What isn't working for me is the panels are slightly overlapped and one will always be on top of the other. it is transparent so you can see the back ground, but not the panel underneath it when it has a picture in it.

I have a class assignment and I am having some difficulty with an Access 2010 database and OLE objects in the database. I have the database imported into the project and I am able to view the records from the database that I have in labels and combo boxes.
I used the database DataSoure wizard to create my connection string and import the Access database. In the DataSouce window I set the DataSet for the "Flag" column that contains my pictures to use a picture box object type and added the data bound object to my form.
When I run the application all the field from the database show as expected however, the picture box object does not display the images from the database. When I check the picture box object in the designer the properties window shows that the image source is bound to my database with the little database icon and the data bindings are all correct.

Im make a portable program which has a form with a few different pictures like a photo gallery.when you hover the mouse over a picture it will appear enlarged in a floating box infront of the form. Then when the the mouse is taken away from this floating box the box will disapear and leave you with the picture gallery again?

I have a piece of software with two tabs, inside each tab there are buttons (the user can add the buttons when they want). when tab1 is full tab2 should start to fill. I currently know how many buttons fit on the screen so I just say something like if buttons > 150 then start to populate tab 2 The problem i have now though is if the resolution is changed then a different amount of buttons can be displayed. so if I put my screen to 1280x720 some buttons are left of. I was thinking of detecting the resolution and then using different cases for different resolutions but this seems very inefficient im wondering if there is a different way?

I'm trying to do is create a RTB where users will be able to enter text and add a Button to the RTB where the user can click the button to change the text of the button, have the ability to delete the button, and keep the button inline with the text.
So for an example:
Blah, Blah, Blah the answer is [AIRPLANE] and the color is [BLUE].
So the user would type text, insert the button where they want it and be able to click the button to change the answer.

edit: I didn't make myself very clear. I'm just curious if it's possible change a program's limit to FPS. For example, I can change Firefox.exe to only get 10 FPS, and nothing more.

Does anyone know why my text isn't changing? When my main form's "logging in" screen appears, the text is supposed to change as it makes changes to the main form. I did this by having a timer start when the form loads and as it ticks the actions are performed and the text changes. The timer's interval is 1,000.[code]By default, loadingtxt says "Logging In As (Username)". However, the text just remains as this instead of changing. Is the timer's interval not big enough or something?

I loop through all of the buttons in a panel. If the button's name is not the name of the btnFunction, then I need to add that control to a list. But it adds the function button either way.

I have an array of structs and each struct contains values for the checkboxes. I am trying to display the checkbox values contained within a particular struct.
MyStruct is an array of structs which has a values for the checkboxes
ChkBoxCol is the collection of check boxes for the form.
I am iterating through the collection as follows:

What I am noticing is that if the check boxes are checked in order (checkbox 1, 2, 3, 4...etc) the code works fine and the values are displayed correctly in the form. However, if the check boxes are not checked in order (4, 5, 7...etc) the code does not write the values of the check boxes and instead keeps them blank. I just need to display the values for the check boxes for a specific struct.

I have a small picture box that I want to change its image on click, then on another click another picture, so on... There are totally 3 images. I really don't know how to do it, but I tried with the code below, but it does not work.[code]First picture shows at the beginning, lets say Image1, then on click it the image will have to change to Image2, then again on click it has to change to Image3, then on the third click onwards, only Image2 and Image3 has to swap on each click.
