I have a specific image that I want my application to look for on a specific window. I've done something similar to this along time ago with VB6, but it was slow, and it was checking for specific points in the picture rather than the whole image itself (for speed reasons). I named this image "Image1.jpg" and I want to compare it to the window with the handle "001C08F2" and class "SunAwtCanvas"

How I can compare a gif image I have with a certain part of the screen. For example lets say I have the gif for the Close window button (top right hand of the window incase your confused). I would want the program to check the top right hand of the screen in the exact coordinates and see if the pixels match. if so return a variable true.
View 7 RepliesI have 2 arrays. One is an array of images other an array of numbers. The images are card faces, (Card(i)), the integers are the corresponding values of the cards (Value(i)). I want to associate the card face with a corresponding value. However, everytime I do what I think is correct, I get an error stating that I cant convert an image to an integer and visa versa.

I made a picture box and imported an image named Title.jpg. Later I made adjustments to the picture and imported it again without deleting the original(mistake). The new one had the name automatically changed to Title1.jpg. So I deleted the original image from resources and renamed Title1.jpg back to Title.jpg.
Now I got two problems. First, only Title.jpg is on the solution explorer, but Title1.jpg(along with Title.jpg) still pops up on the resource list when I click on Image property of the picture box. There's only the name and no picture, and I don't see a delete option. How do I get rid of it? Second, even though I changed the image to the new Title.jpg in the picture box, the old one is displayed when running the app. What's up with that?
I am trying to make an Image wrapper class or something. The reason for this is that I need to output a bunch of images only, without pictureboxes. I don't want an imagelist, because I need the images along with their associated image properties which an imagelist cannot provide. I ended up with this :

I'm storing images in a List Of Image. When I want to clear/remove all the images it contains should I dispose & set each item to nothing before using .Clear? Or can you just call .Clear? I'm doing it like this for now...

I'm having trouble centering an image directly in the middle of the screen and making it stay there regardless of the size of the window. View 18 RepliesI'm using VS 2005 and .NET framework 2.0 SP2 to build an application with a datagridview in it. I'm using Microsoft Word 11.0 Object Library to do the spelling checker on one of the field in datagridview. When it detected a spelling and grammar window would pop-up open on top of the datagridview.
The problem I got was when I moved the pop-up window to the new location, there's still an image of the pop-up window left behind the previous location. The more I moved the more of those copied image would be created on screen.
I need the whole window to drag when they click and hold an image box. Is there any way to do this? (Example: They move their cursor onto the image click and hold the mouse down then move their cursor. The whole window then moves with it.)
View 2 RepliesI'm making a photo editor and the size of the image depends on the size of the window, like the Zoom mode in the BackgroundImageLayout property of a form. It works sometimes: when resized only a small amount, it does nothing, but when the image is resized more than that, it jumps to the right position.

usually with C#, though the controls I'm using for this project are VB. Usually I work with programming backend robust applications, but of course when I do a simple website for a friend is when I cant figure out the problem. I'm using a VB master page for the site. The "wood" div is supposed to be a background image that repeats dynamically as far down as the page goes, but for some reason it only goes as far as the browser window height. The background-repeat:repeat-y doesnt seem to do anything, so I feel like the problem has to do with the CSS. Here's the master page:

I created a new cursor (it works properly, I tried it in windows 7) but is not working for me in the program.I took the Windows cursor (aero_helpsel_xl, from C:WindowsCursors) and it appears to me the same error.i use with this code:

edit: I realized what the problem ... It can read only cur files with 24-bit color and lower - but it shows only two colors: black and white.
I have an app that loads a jpg into a picyure box, then updates exif data in exifworks classThe problem is that when I save the image(from image used for picture box) or class (to save exif data) then try to delete, sometimes I get success, others it won't allow delet I have gone to the trouble of using gc.collect, do events, put the delete in a timer & wait for the delete before continuing & still get the problem

Credit i cant tell you as i have a bunch of different flavors of code, but this only saves the file as a tmp file, and not the actual image file i expected after selecting?

In VB6 you could BITBLT things around before refreshing the screen. In .NET, I'm aware of DrawImage, but that can only be done on a paint event rather than before anything gets painted. The issue I have is, I need to open several files with image data in them and then build a bigger image with those smaller images. Before I could open them, BITBLT them to a Buffer. As far as I can tell .NET offers no way to do this as the only function I've been able to find (DrawImage) only works within the paint event. Is there still a way to do this in VS08 or no?

i am creating a table in vb.net code (htmltable) with htmltablerows and htmltablecell. I gave on image control but thatr control cant have the .imageurl property, which i need cause i have a handler image.ashx which brings image from the database.

I need a code that will load text, the correct image to match it and the command for each image. what i want to do is make a program that will download a swf and an image into to folders. then at startup the program will load all the swf and images and put the images into a listview so when you click on the image for the swf file it will give the link to the swf so it can be loaded.
