VS 2010 Repeat Loop/Code Check For Text,URL Etc?

I am waiting for a confirmation email to arrive within the web browser I am using I do not need to click any buttons to open this mail I just need some help figuring out how I can check whether it has arrived or not I already have the code to find the link and navigate to it (I had to navigate rather then invoke due to it trying to open in a new window outside of web browser and out of my control)
How can I keep checking for my specified element and when found carry out the rest of my code or is there another way I should be doing this the code I am using to find the verification link and navigate to it is as follows

I really am desperate for help on this one I have been reading about loops but cannot seem to find any example which I can use and change to my needs I have done so well in learning up until now and I have really hit a brick wall for something which seems so simple

I have a simple project that calculates the grade avg of male, female, and both using a listbox and radio buttoms for male and female. The program needs to update each time I use my btnCalculate button by adding one student and updating the avg.MY question is how to I get my do/while loop to work each time by just hitting my calc button? My next step is to allow a pause checking the status of the motor and or inputs before going to the next step. Reason is so it does not do many calls to the motor controller so fast. I need some help building a loop that checks status of the motor and if Motor1Active is 1 which means it is running that it needs to wait a bit and then rechecks itself. If it is not running it will continue to the next step command. Here is a sample of what I got but need to figure out say a 50ms wait before rechecking. I guess a loop that rechecks and waits 50ms and then rechecks the status and if done and reads 0 then it goes to the next step. if still 1 output data it waits 50ms and then rechecks. The following is what I got started with but need help with if then else and anything else statement.

I have an insert statement which works fine but before the record is saved I want to validate the text boxes. So I just need to know how to check for empty text boxes before the save button is clicked on. I have seen a couple of examples like:

I'm trying to make a mastermind game program with visual basic. I started of creating the combination maker for the start of the game. Hoever, in my version i don't want any colors to repeat. I used the random function independently to get numbers from 1 to 6. Each number has a corresponding color. The problem, the values still repeat sometimes.

I some code that looks to see if a certain program is running when the form is open. If the program is open it puts Running in a label, if it isn't running it says not running.What I want to do is repeat this process every 5 or 10 seconds. I have never used a Timer before so not sure where to start.

I am calling a sub from a form load event. The procedure that is being called adds columns to a listview and then loops through an array to populate the listview. I have another procedure called after the loop that does not execute when the loop completes. Please advise as to what I am doing wrong for the code not to execute after the loop in the if/then/else statement or why it is not executing if I remove the if/then/else statement and just placed the called sub after the loop or why the code does not go back to the form load event and then call the next called sub.[code]

I've got Visual Studio 2010 and I am looking to clean up my code technique, since I've taught myself and now I'm taking classes.
I'm trying to use a For...Next Loop so that I can fill a text box with sequential numbers. For some reason, all I can get in the text box is the last number and I feel that at this point I'm probably overthinking it...

I have an app that adds ammount to gether and i am trrying to do some error checking. This is the code i Have so far

I would like to turn this into a select case so that it calls all the code need to check before running. I have tried to do it my self but has been ages since i coded and even then it was in VB6. I know there is a way to do the case in a module and then call it into the form where i need it. i have 3 radio buttons that if they are not selected it pops up a message to say so.

I had a weird series of errors involving e.Graphics.DrawString() when painting a panel.I am using a barcode font [Code 128] with a library that converts text to the proper format for Barcode readers.That's fine, however, when I draw it to the panel, that's where things stop being fine:But, here's where things get funky. When I put it into a TextBox instead of drawing it via Graphics.DrawString(), everything is peachy:In fact, the TextBox one looks much better than the Graphics.DrawString() one! I am working on a poker game and I have the game setup the way I want it in terms of graphics and I have the code programed to deal the cards out exactly how I want them. Granted, the code is very simplistic, but functional for a new programmer like myself. I'm sure there are other more efficient ways to code my game, but I like mine so far because I can at least understand the majority of it. With that being said, here are a few problems and questions that I have.
1. How come when all 12 cards are dealt out I have some cards repeating in the game? For example, I get queen of diamonds in more than one picture box when I only want the card to be dealt once and then removed until the next game.
2. I was hoping to have a button 3 to clear all the boxes, basically resetting the game to the next game. When I hit button 3 it only clears the contents of picturebox 10 and 12.Other notes: I have the deal down the way I want it. It deals the first 10 picture boxes and a second button deals the 11 and 12 picture boxes.
3. I know this is my next step so I want to post it with the code I currently have. I want to start taking my project one step further by evalutating each of the three rows of cards (3 rows of 3 cards each - I'm not worried about the dealers hand (picture box 10, 11, 12 yet). So I want to evaluate a row of pictureboxes against a "pay scale" and display the win in a text box or label next to the 3 card hand. For example, Q of diamonds, Q of Clubs, Q of spades would win 15, etc. ( have a weird feeling I may have to change the names of the cards (I have them named card1, card2, etc. right now) to something that identifies them in order to evaluate the hands.

I have a text file with user names in them on separate lines. I want to check to see if any of the lines doesn't match the exact text im checking for. It doesn't matter what line the text is on, as long as it is in there. If it's not, alert me. Previously i tried .contains() but obviously if a user name is "hello" and another's is "helloworld" it will match both of them.So basically i need to read all the lines in the txt file and if none of them lines contains the specific text im looking for then alert me. I'm trying to lern VS 2010 from VB 6 and one of the things i'm hawing a problem whid is control array.In vb 6 if you create a text box it's named "Text1" and if you yust copy it and paste it it renames to "Text1(0)" and the new one's name is "Text1(0)" and the code would lock like this

I'm trying to update an old code that I don't have the source code for. In this code, the user enters an integer in a textbox as part of a form. Once they move to the next textbox a new form opens to input the number of files that the user chose (in the textbox).I have created all of the forms, but I can't figure out how to get the code to open the new form once the integer has been entered in the textbox and the cursor has moved to the next textbox. I would prefer this to happen automatically and not involve a button.
