I am trying to select records from a table using the following command

I get the error message

Basically, I am making a booking system. On one of the forms, you can: Add, Edit and Delete a record by using the selected index. I can do the Add and Edit part fine but some problems are occuring when I try to delete it. What I'm trying to do when deleting is, copy all the records except the selected one and then copy it back into the original file again.

I started with two DateTimePicker controls with the custom format of h:mm tt. I tried adding (on ValueChanged), a check that made the selected 'starting time' will become the 'ending times' minimum and vice versa, the 'ending time' becoming the 'starting times' maximum
However, that approach didn't seem to work -- I was still able to select 11.00 AM on the 'ending time' and 1.00 PM on the 'starting time'. I have a feeling that the current day of the timestamp has something to do with it (e.g. the starting time is of the previous day, and therefore is less).
I thought about changing to a combo box of preset half hour intervals throughout the day; however the minutes need to be more flexible than that...

View 1 RepliesI have a date field in my dataset, my datetimepicker is bound to it. When the form loads, the datetimepicker is default to todays date if there is no value stored in the database. Right now I'm saving by the tableadapter.update(dataset) method. Is there a way to make it write the default value (today) of the datetimepicker even if the user doesn't select a value because if you make no selection it saves nothing in the database and the user may think it's ok because there is a value (today) shown by default.
If not, what is a good way to display the datetimepicker as empty so the user will have to choose a value, or how do you communicate with the user that the date shown is not going to save?
I try to select the last row like this:

this only selects records where the full word is the only word in the record set.

The field 'Data' has the format "dd-Mmm-yy" on the Access database. The code allways fails with a type mismatch in the criteria expression.I already tried

It has two datetimepickers which both have the format of "dd MMMM yyyy hh:mm:ss"..However, I want to be able to do some calculations with them and return a format of: "ddd dd MMM yyyy HH:mm:ss" with the milliseconds but not sure how to show the milliseconds. I can make the column read-only but it would be easier if it was unselectable so the user won't be confused trying to enter data into a read only cell. So if I clicked on a cell in that column or moved into that cell in that column it would jump to the next column, or not focus on the cell at all.

View 4 RepliesI have an application written in VB.net for batch print jobs. As part of the application, the user selects two printer trays to use to print the batch to (one plain paper the other coloured for coversheets and batch seperators) I had this working until we upgraded our systems from Windows XP with Office 2000 to Windows 7 and Office 2010. Now the selected trays are not being recognised and an error is thrown.
I've looked at similar posts on here and other forums but they seam to concentrate on using some word default trays (wdPrinterDefaultBin etc) however I need to be able to let the user pick whatever tray they wish to use. I don't want to have to go through every printer in the building and map the trays to the word values either as I don't want to rewrite the app everytime we've a new printer.

Now the problem is that when I choose another date in the datetimepicker the event for that goes through without a problem BUT the event causes the contextmenustrip to go away. The problem is the contextmenustrip must stay shown. I solved the issue with contextmenustrip.show on the end of the event, this works but this has one big disadvantage. I loose all information about the sourcecontrol of the contextmenustrip, and this can't happen.A monthcalendar lets the contextmenustrip stay after his event, but a monthcalendar is too big what cause my menu to be clumsy.

I'm am trying to determine the total number of fields under a particular heading given that the other Heading's total number of fields are > or < than the heading in question. I try to make a WFA for filling, reading etc. to a database. I want to compare 2 dates (actually 1 date is changed by 42 days) that are chosen by a user through a datetimepicker.
