VS 2010 Tabbing Thru Columns In Datgridview?
Feb 16, 2012I have a datagridview with 4 columns and 100 rows, I want to tab thru the first two columns from row 1 to 100 and then columns 3 and 4 form row1 thru 100. I am using VB 2010.

Jul 7, 2004Have been playing around with user controls and had a go at enhancing the textbox. Everything I done works fine except now I can't seem to tab out of or into the control. I haven't changed anything except the borderstyle and coloring when the control gets the focus.

Tabbing Between Buttons On IE Download Prompt
Sep 1, 2011(Using VB 2008 express). I'm fairly new to vb and I can't find any information on this anywhere. I have an app that clicks a download button on a web page from a web browser control. This works so far, a download box comes up asking whether I want to save or open the file. I want to be able to select the "Save" button and then chose a name and then click enter. Is there a simple way to tab over to the save button and click enter?

I have a datagridView which is getting populated from the Database.I has RegNo,RollNo,Name etc fields.The data in the Name column of database is coming from 3 columns of a certain table from database. This is how im concatinating it and displaying in datagrid.

My issue is i want to save this data in some other table which also has Surname,FirstName,LastName columns in the database. Im not able to split the column data present in datagridview cell into three fields. For Example:Name column in datagridview is having Name : Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. I want to divide this string into three like : Sachin for Surname,Ramesh for First Name,Tendulkar for LastName.

Sep 1, 2010I have a program that someone else designed the form on and sent to me to populate the code. I am not sure what could have been done to cause this problem, hoping for a quick oversight on my part. There are several fields of textboxes that the user enters numbers in. Normal behavior for textboxes is when you tab to them the current contents are highlighted. On one of these textbox fields, and only that one set of textboxes, the contents are highlighted like normal at first, but after the user edits the content of the textbox, if you tab to it again it will go directly into edit mode instead of highlighting the contents. Each textbox in the field does this individually, so if you just edit one, all the rest will continue to highlight contents until you edit them as well. It appears you don't actually have to change the value of the textbox, just entering edit mode and getting a blinking cursor is enough. I cannot find a difference in the properties of these textboxes compared to the rest.

Insert Row At A Specific Point In DatGridView Control?
Mar 29, 2010I have a DataGridView control which is NOT bound any underlying data table. When the user selects a row (multi select is not enabled), I want them to be able to click an "insert" button to insert a row into the table below the selected row.I can insert a row at a specific location with the code below, and it will insert a new row at the location specified. My problem, is that I need to get the currently selected row and add 1 to it. However, the insert method below accepts an integer, and I cannot figure out how to get the currently selected row as an integer. I can only get it as a Row collection, which does not help. I've the data in Datagridview (2 column - wavelength, absorbance) and i need to display in text box based on some reference. let say my first reference (soot it has wavelength value plus minus 2000 (range 1998 until 2002), 2nd ref NO2 plus minus 1630 (range 1628 until 1632) and others ref.

Jul 28, 2011Here are quick scenarios: there are two chkbox columns "Parent" and "Child" In the Parent Column, you're only allowed to choose ONE chkbox AND the chosen chkbox in the PARENT shouldn't be available to check in the CHILD chkbox, while in the child you're allowed to choose as many as you want.
The selected records (checked chkboxes) should be transfered in the database after clicking the Consolidate Button.

Nov 30, 2010I have a dgv with 5 columns (combos) added with the wizard, then in the form constructor i set the datasource, value member, displaymember and datapropertyname for each one, after this i fill the main data table and set the dgv datasource with it.If i just do this and don't use the display index, the columns show in an wired order, doesn't show up like i defined in the wizard neither in the order of the sql statement.
For example, i add this columns (names):

May 16, 2011I'm new to VS 2010 reports. I build an rdlc report based on a a table with 18 columns. From these colums, 3 of them allways have the same content so i would like to put them at the report header. When i do this i get a page for each single record, which is understandable. I worked with other tools that allow me to build report headers beased on SQL queries but it seems that VS does not allow such thing. Will be there any way to achieve what i want?
