Jun 17, 2012i want to move a program that already is running, and by move, i mean change the x and y coordinates of the application on the screen. how would i go about doing this?

Jun 6, 2012I wrote this VB program to be able to throw a device we developed into programming mode where we use an ATMEL Flip installer to upload new firmware. I can program one device after another running the application off of Visual Studio Express 2010 or Visual Studio 2010, but when I go to publish this file and run it on another machine, it becomes unstable and crashes after each upload. On those same computers if I run the raw unpackaged program under Visual Studio Express, the system does not crash, and I can program devices repeatedly.

Jun 14, 2012I have developed a program with vb2010, created an installer with installaware and installed the program on my develop laptop and on my normal desktop pc (both win 7 64bits, but program runs on 32 bits).So on my laptop it run perfectly, but when I try to run it on my desktop pc, the only thing I see is the admin message (the program needs admin rights) and than nothing happends (even checked the taskmanager, it shows the program for a short while and closes it even as fast as it opens).I don't know what went wrong, the installer checks the framework which is needed (4.0), but I have that already installed on my desktop pc.

VS 2010 Program Not Running On Other Computers?
Oct 23, 2010I've just created a program in Visual Basic.NET 2010 Express Edition, and the program works great on my computer. Unfortunately, when I try running it on other computers, the process on the Task Manager for it comes up for literally 2 seconds and then goes away, and the program does not run. Basically, the program doesn't open. I'm not sure why this is happening, and I'm not getting any errors.
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit, and I've tried getting it to work on two other computers, with no luck. The first one had Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit, and the second one had the same operating system as my computer. All computers have the .NET Framework 4 Client Profile installed, which is what my application is compiled to work with. I also tried compiling it to use .NET Framework 4 (without the Client Profile), and that didn't help.
If it helps, my References are as follows (which I believe are the defaults):

Oct 17, 2009When it comes to threading. I've managed to adapt one of JMcIllhinney's backgroundworker codebank examples to somewhat suit my needs, but not completely. I have a main form, and a second form that appears while I'm running through a for loop. It informs the user what is currently happening. I set up a backgroundworker that allowed me to continue to use the main form during the for loop, but the other "status" form was completely frozen, and any labels or graphics were shown as white boxes. I am struggling to figure out how to be able to move/interact with both forms while the loop is running.

1. How would I get my program to move my mouse to a color thats anywhere on the screen? I want this done by hotkeys.Example: Lets say the hotkey i want to use is ALT+C and the color is white. When I press ALT+C, it will move to white.

Oct 12, 2011I had the battle system 60% worked out. Went to play some Dragon Age, when I came back nothing was working as the way I left it. I don't know what happened.The richtext box is supposed to disaply the attack monster description, and then it's name, the amount of damage it does. The bridge between the two programs is a program that has been named the task manager as like the windows task manager it shows what tasks are being done/have been done/are about to be done (or executed)
What i would like to know is how can i run the already installed bridge program from my program? Do i need to run it by opening the executable that contains it? Or by declaring the bridge program as a type/structure/class and going from there to open it?If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room
VS 2010 Move On From GDI+
Sep 12, 2011I am working on a little football simulator along similar lines to the Football Manager games. For those who aren't familiar with what they look like, here is an image. So yeah I just have little circles running around on the field. Things are fine but I hate the fact that GDI+, as far as I can tell, is pretty much entirely CPU driven. I mean I am trying to make a video game here and it seems like a waste of the graphics card. In terms of performance, it can be smooth but at other times is choppy.
In another thread I asked about multithreading (which I kind of have the hang of now) and when I run a bunch of tasks in the background the GDI+ performance goes right down, I guess because the CPU is being heavily taxed. I guess I could make sure there isn't much background processing from the game when using the GDI+ but I still don't like having the animation so CPU dependent.
