Adding Screentips To A Label?
Jul 10, 2009I know it is possible to add a tooltip to just about every element in Visual Studio, but I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to add screentips to a label? I have 5 images I'd like to trigger when the user hovers their mouse above the element (a label).I have 5 labels: Form, Crown, Trunk, Root Flare, and Roots and 5 pictures. I know there is a MouseHover event but I cant seem to make it trigger the picture I want when it hovers.

Oct 21, 2011I made the labels red so you can see them. I used a picture of a little mug as bullet, aligned top-left. The label text normaly begins at the far left of the label, but with a bit of coding I solved that problem. I did not want to add extra spaces
to the text directly for keeping the data base small. The problem however is when the label has 2 or more lines of text the text don't line up nicely with the top line, once again I no not want to save the extra spaces to the data base.

I am basically making a quiz, so that when the form loads, question 1 is on there is 4 possible answers. You then press next button and it goes to the next question.

Nov 12, 2009I am trying to add 2 variables and the result to appear in a label.The case is that there is a platinum version of an album which costs more. The extra cost depends on the album so it varies.If the user wants to purchase an ordinary and a platinum album then I must add the two variables and the combined price to appear in a label. The normal and platinum prices appear fine when the other is zero but when I increase the quantity on both the label remains blank.I have an if statement like this:

Jul 3, 2010I'm making a Pong game and currently when the game ends the scores are show in a lable and a message box pops up saying which of the two players won.
However the problem i am having is i want it so that the player who won has their score saved to a database so i need to know how to get the score from the Lable to save to the database but then also have a way possibly a message box ? where the player can input the desired username. so the database would have two collums username and score where score is updated automaticaly and the username is entered by the player.

Display Data From DATABASE TO LABEL - VB 2010

Now when someone logs in into the app I want the users First Name and Last Name to be displayed on my second form where the user gets redirected on a sucesfull login. I don't know how to accomplish this as I am quite new to VB. I have provided my login code below (btw it uses an online database):

I think the code which provides the first name and last name need to check the users username which was provided on the first form and search through the DB. Then when it has found the record it should recieve the First Name and Last name.

The two buttons are btnSave and btnQuit with "End" in htis button. I have also made a database "MyFriends" with a table that has PersonId, FirstName and LastName.

The name will be displayed in the label depending on the year and number typed in two text boxes. So if typed 2009 and 1001, the label should display name2. I don't have any background on SQL. The only thing I did for now is that I added the database in the data sources and added a TableAdapter.
