i have 3 textboxes on an asp.net page and i would like to send the text on all those textboxes as an email message body when a button is clicked. I want each text on each textbox to appear on a new line(this i can do), but i also want the lines to be bulleted.
Something like
Text on Textbox1
Text on Textbox2
Text on Textbox3
I do have a multi select dropdown box.I want all the selected items uin in a string with comma seperated value.[code]I want a shortcut like join to accomplish the task.

I'm trying to make a Doctor's program where the doctor has to enter the patients detail into several text boxes (Name, Age, Address...). So, after he has entered all the information, he would want to save it somehow so he could open up the information
again. How would i do that. I thought it could be saved in a database, or even in a text file.

My boss sent me to do this fairly interesting project via visual basic. Hes kept it fairly general though. he wants a program, that takes 2 text boxes.. and the information inputed into these two boxes are to be emailed to him when someone hits submit. He says its for keeping track of his employees even when he cant be there. How would one go about coding visual basic to take two text boxes and email them when a button is hit?

Is the problem that I need to show "credentials" (i.e. user/pass)? If so, what would those credentials be? Can I use my yahoo email SMTP server with my login info to do it? And is this all I'd need to add to add the credentials?

I am buidling an application that users can use to submit text data and attachments to email recipients. Certain fields, quite a few in fact from the textboxes in the app will be in the email body, and some in the subject line.This is how I am doing it right now, but I figured there has to be a better way. In VB it is one single line of code, not many like it is here. Ideally I would like to be able to better control the positioning in the message body.

Hi, I'm working on a program that reads text entered into a textbox and creates a list of items by separating entries by commas. Everything is working fine, except, because I am using an array to store the items in the list, I have a limited number of entries. This is only a problem because, as it is written currently, each comma counts as an individual entry. Therefore, users can enter ",,," for example, and it would use up 3 places in the array.
I'm looking for a way to check to make sure there is text after the comma before adding an entry. I've attempted to use the .substring command to check the character after, which works until it gets to the last character. Because there is no character after that, it will give an error.

On my form I have 3 textboxes. They get their data from a database query. The trick is the database may return 1 result or up to 3. If the query returns only 1 result, I want the first textbox populated, 2 results, 1st and 2nd textbox populated, etc... I also want to be able to track CurrentItemChanged Event for updating purposes. What I'm trying to do is make a list of members in a read only textbox getting the data from two textboxes (first and last name) and a 'save' button.

I'm trying to get user input from two textboxes 'tbxFornavn' and 'tbxEtternavn' and I use my class' public function 'Navn' to display it in the textbox 'tbxHistory'.
I've got a sub procedure to add the input to the list and clear the textboxes and enable another reset button.
So for the save button click event I run the sub procedure and I've written a for next loop to display the results from the list. The first name I enter is all good, but with the second name entry both the first and the second name gets listed as well as the first name that is already there. I thought about using the .clear function to clear the list after each input, but I also want to incorporate laptimes in the list and display the best time in a lable at the bottom of the form. Maybe also sort the list, so I need the data in the list to stay intact.

One of my clients is going from Server 2000, SQL 2000 w/ VB6 to a new environment of Windows SBS 2008, SQL 2005 standard 64bit, w/ Visual Studios 2005. We have a custom built app written all in VB that has been converted. We already took care restoring the databases and setting up the odbc and such. After conversion, the app threw a couple of errors, and warnings, which have been fixed. We have a formload function that is supposed to populate 2 fields with dropdown information. One is a folders list in outlook and the other is a send recipient. The Recipient field populates fine and the outlook email box does not.Here is the formload code. I can't figure out why this would allow one box to fill and not the other.

In another sub within the MDI class i want to read the data from the textboxes, but got an error that says txtBox1 is not a member of 'WindowsApplication1.Form1'.This is true because they do not exist yet. How can i handle this? I think it has something to do with "delegate and invoke", but this seems to be hard to understand.
Is there any way of making controls that aren't textboxes into readonly controls? Specifically I have a date time picker (but I have the problem occasionally with other controls), that I want to make ReadOnly as opposed to disabled so that the user can see clearly what is in the control but cannot edit it. Making a control like this disabled makes it hard to read and furthermore, gives the impression to the user that they are to ignore the field, which defeats the object.
I'm sure a suggestion will also be to stick the information into a text box, however there are other date time picker controls that CAN be edited in the same window, and it would make life a lot easier if the layout of each was exactly the same.
This works if I don't have an IfElse statement but even then it only shows 1 txtBox().I want 4 panels and 4 rows of textboxes in each one. with multiple txtbox()'s in each oneI'm just starting on it, but as usual I hit an error, see below. I wish to make a project where a teacher views a list box with a list of students of a class. When he selects a name from the first list box the second listbox would change its data to show the grades for that one student.
