i want to create a modalpopup dynamically but i come across a problem.I pasted my sub here and i dont know what to do for that problem.When i want to show modalpopup,it says "Control 'mdldelete2' of type 'ModalPopupExtender' must be placed inside a form tag with runat=server."

I've done everything. Deleted the code and dragged new controls from the toolbox, renamed, tried from javascript -- I just can't get this freakin' modalpopupextender to show. 2 Labels
1 DataGridView
1 Button
Everything works fine the first time I create the panels.
Everything gets created, and everything is functional.
If I have to re-create the form, I get rid of the existing panels (and their controls) with this code:

When I re-create the panels, I get the panels and all of their controls except Buttons.When I step through the debugger, I see the buttons being removed, and I see them being created, but they don't appear in the panel

heres my code i have it set up so when i press spacebar it should create and display a picture box my help is two parts one why is the picture box not displaying and how to i set it so that every time the space bar is pressed a picture box is created. I have ModalPopupExtenders that show associations that are NOT tied to a specific product. The associations that ARE tied to the product are shown in a tabcontainer with delete imagebuttons next to them. When I was testing earlier I noticed that the associations that I delete from the tabcontainer don't show up in the modal unless I click on the refresh button in my browser. Is there some code I could use that would make it so that when I click on the delete button, it will automatically refresh my Modal so that I won't have that extra step? [code]

I can get them to popup with a textbox where I have enabled="false" so that it can't be edited, but it shows all the tags along with the text such as the <p>, <li>, etc. Is there a different control I can use inside of my modal that will show my text better?

I am looking at creating a Dynamic Menustrip.I have managed to write the code to add subItems to a Item. The root item is called item1 and when the form is run, item1 gets populated by items called subItem[0-5].I am wondering how do I assign an action to a subItem when click? At the moment I want a message box to popup with the subItem's name that has been clicked. I.E If subItem3 is clicked, I want a msgbox to pop up with "subItem3".

I am trying to create a dynamic dropdown after a dropdown has been selested (in asp.net vb)
For example: I have a dropdown question that asks: What brand of car do you drive (Toyota, Ford, Honda, Nissan, Chevrolet)
When the brand is selected I want another dropdown to appear under it with new chocies
For example: If Nissan is chosen, the second dropdown will be populated (from the database) with (Altima, Maxima, etc...)
And in some cases I would like a text box to appear, but If I can figure out the dropdown portion, I am sure I can figure out the textbox.
What Im trying to do is create a function that sees how many items Im wanting to add, then add each item to the combo box, without me having to add each item individually. Basically its to save space coding, and make my code easier to follow.
An example of what Ive got is:

To do this I would need to use a dynamic array as the number of names returned could be anything.Apart from first running "select count(names) from table", getting a value and then Redim'ing the array on the count is there another method I can use.I've seen there's a dataset row.count? I need to dynamically create some sort of 'table' on my form. It should look like:
PIC1 INTEGER1 TIME1
PIC2 INTEGER2 TIME2

On top of that it should look like a table and have gridlines between the 'cells' containing the picture/data, which makes it even more difficult for me. I am building a program to keep tract of student signup and classesroom.
1.I have an admin form that gives the admin users the right to create a classroom. This class is available / show up when the student signup. Because of future plans I want the admin to have the right to add / delete and classroom if the class is no longer needed to offering.

I need to create some serial port controlls manually. My program reads through a config file, and it if comes across an entry called COMPORT then I need to create a contol to talk to this port. The entries in the ini file might be

I also have a stored procedure from the database developer that return the list of categories. Depending on the user selection, the list of categories can vary.
So i have to dynamically create those Boxes. Each categories returned by the SP should replace Category A, Category B, and so on. As i can't know the number of categories returned by the SP i just hard coded those divs. My question is simply how ? How can i achieve this?

When a user is editing a given piece of data, they're allowed to add messages/comments. These are stored as child records in a SQL database. Clicking on the Add Message button brings up a panel (pnlMessage) courtesy of the AJAX ModalPopup Extender. This takes some input and, when the "Send Message" button in the panel is clicked (I learned the hard way to NOT make that the 'OkButton' property), the message is stored in the database and an email is sent to the intended recipients. No problem there.
However, I need to be able to allow the user to add new email addresses (so long as they are registered in our database). I have another ModalPopup / panel combo (pnlSearch) that's tied to a button on the previous panel (pnlMessage).
The user is supposed to be able to add an email or click on a search button to populate a list to choose from.
The pop-up panel (pnlSearch) comes up just fine, but clicking the "Lookup" button (which instigates the search and returns a collection of records that the user is supposed to pick from) closes the panel.
Previously, I ran into the problem of having the Button.Click event never firing when I put the Button into the "OkControlID" property (the CancelControlID works fine since I don't want to do anything). Removing the "OkControlID=Button" line allowed it to work perfectly with the Button.Click event firing as expected.
So now I have the Search panel with a button for "OK" and a button for "Search" - but the panel should stay up and visible after the Search.Click does it's thing. Am I missing some property that basically says "don't close the panel when this button is clicked"? Of course, if I bring up the panel again in the same session, the results from the previous effort are there (the search results).
i have created a dynamic tabpage and a dynamic tablelayoutpanel inside it then added dynamic textboxes and labels inside the tablelayoutpanel...the thing is , i am having a problem on how to access the value of those textboxes and labels and add them as new columns in the new table(tagpage) in mysql database, i can already create the table in the database but i cant add the new columns in it. heres the code for accessing the values of the labels and textboxes

Now, I know that a query in .NET doesnt look like this, this is my test in the SQL Design Studio. Naturally VB.NET variables will be used in place of the SQL local variables.My problem is this: All of the conditions after "WHERE" are optional. In that a query might be made that uses one, some, all, or none of the conditions. V.PropertyID and V.Value can also appear any number of times.In VB.NET I can make this query easy enough by simply concatenating strings, and using a loop to append the "V.PropertyID/V.Value" conditions.I can also make a Stored Procedure in MS SQL, which is easy enough.However, I want to accomplish this using LINQ.
