I'm trying to make a program that kinda works like Windows 7 when you put you're mouse over a program in the taskbar, and it pops up a small realtime screenshot of the running program while its minimized.Anyone know how I can go about doing this? I took a small code from the internet, but I always a error "Generic Error occurred in GDI+".[code]
I knew everything I needed to save an image, so I type in my code, and yet another error pops up. Here's the bit of code: screenshot.Save(CaptureMain.picLocation.ToString, Imaging.ImageFormat.Bmp, "Screenshot")
And, the error's kind of lengthly... Error1Overload resolution failed because no accessible 'Save' can be called with these arguments:
'Public Sub Save(stream As System.IO.Stream, encoder As System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageCodecInfo, encoderParams As System.Drawing.Imaging.EncoderParameters)': Value of type 'String' cannot be converted to 'System.IO.Stream'. 'Public Sub Save(stream As System.IO.Stream, encoder As System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageCodecInfo, encoderParams As System.Drawing.Imaging.EncoderParameters)': Value of type [Code] ..... The variable 'screenshot' is a bitmap.
I have entered an image in sql server database successfully. Now i want to retrieve this image from database and show it in an Image control. I don't want to put any ListBoxes on the page. I wrote in ASP dot Net..
Dim MS As MemoryStream Dim IMG As System.Drawing.Image Dim FS As FileStream
The coding below is to retrieve the Raw Image Data from the Database and then write as a JPG image file. The problem is the image file (image.jpg) is "nothing" after file created. I guess there is something wrong in the following coding.
fs.Write(rawData, 0, fileSize)
No any runtime errors I can find, and I double check rawData (i.e. Buffer) contains data. But don't know why there is "nothing" inside the image (image.jpg).
Private Sub Button2_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button2.Click Dim fileSize As Integer Dim rawData() As Byte
How do you convert a System.Drawing.Bitmap image to any other type of image? I tried CType, which failed, since I do not know the type for .png or .jpg. I cannot find it anywhere on google either. What is the most efficient method to do this, which keeps the quality of the image as high as possible?

How can i load the original image when the tumbnail version of the image has been clicked? Im using ASP.NET in combinaton with javascript.
The original images are big, so they have been scaled on server side. This makes the site load faster. But somehow, both versions (original and tumbnail) of the images are being downloaded.
I'm trying to download only the tumbnail version of the image. And when the user clicks on the image, i want to show the original image.
I'd need to show an image in fullscreen mode on my application when a music-file is being played. Is it possible to define a form and an image (picturebox) to be shown as a maximum size on the screen? One thing that makes it even more interesting is that I'd need to show it as a fullscreen mode on a external screen.
I have a form that contain an big image and an small image. The small image will be showed on top of the big image. Both images are in .gif format and the small image background is transparent.I set the picturebox's backcolor for small image to transparent, but I only get the backcolor of the form in stead of the big image. Is there anyway to see the big image at the transparent area of small image?
