Change The Table To The Coefficient Value In A Default?
May 12, 2011
I have a table that contains the matter field coefficient and I want to bring its value to 1 by default, but unfortunately I forget to do that when creating the table matter, and I try to change the table to the coefficient value in a default but it does not work
Dim oControl As New Forms.Control() Using types As New DataSet With oDal .Parameters.Clear() .Execute(sql, types) [Code] ..... For some reason when you click the dropdown - "0" is displayed defaulted. It needs to be the first text/value pair from the table. The table is only returning one row at the moment, which is correct, but 0 still defaults.
I have a question about the AddNewItem method. From what I understand, then this event occurs, the EndEdit() method is called and a new record is created IN MEMORY (or a buffer). The user fills in the form that is presented and when the Save button is pressed, the record in the buffer is actually added to the table.
In my application, a form is displayed and some of the forms databound text boxes have DEFAULT values (see the property for the textbox under the Data Bindings, Advanced and NULL VALUE). For example, I have a text box that holds a number and the NULL value is set to 0. When the form displays, the ZERO is in the text box. Assume the user NEVER enters the field or changes the ZERO to something else (which means the field is never validated).
Here is the problem. When the SAVE button is pressed, the ZERO that was the default value is NOT WRITTEN to the table. The field in the table is DBNULL. That is not the desired outcome. So - How can I check the fields in the BUFFER BEFORE they are written to the table?
The MaskedEditExtender control that I am using is set up for a MaskType="DateTime" and the AcceptAMPM="true" but I need to know how a user can change the am/pm without having to type in A for AM and P for PM? Is there a way I can add arrows or something to this control so that it is more user-friendly when changing from AM to PM? My users aren't going to know that they need to type out the value for it to change.
I have a vb.net app that uses PrintPreviewDialog to print a document. Now I want the user to be able to print to any printer on the network. So, I created a listbox of available printers which works fine. Now, I need to either change the windows default printer to the one selected, or make the PrintPreviewDialog use that printer name.
I am using VB 2010. The default font for forms is Sans with a size of 7.8. Is there a way I can change the default font to something else. I do not see this choice in the options section of the tools menu.
Is there any way to change the default value(s) of controls? How about setting the default value of Textbox.Multiline to True which would make it easier to arrange on the form.
Can we change default vb.net form skins . I mean to make it better?I am not saying to change background colour or image . I am saying to change style, design etc?
I don't know what this is called or I'd search for it since I'm sure it's been discussed. How do you pick a form as the default form that opens when you start debugging? As in, I have a form I want to debug but when I click debug, a different one opens with no means of getting to the other forms.
I have Excel 2003 and 2007 loaded on my computer. When I open an Excel file, it is defaulting to 2003. How do I check to see what the default program is for opening xls files and change this to 2007 in my code? I have already done the following manually:
1-Open My Computer 2-Go to Tools --Folder options 3-Click the File Types tab 4-Scroll down to the XLS file type and highlight it
[code]....
However I am not convince that its defaulting to Excel 2007 when I run projects in VB as I am seeing the "File Conversion" prompt when file are open.
I'm developing an application and when the application is open, I need to handle the mailto protocol. I'm thinking the best way is have the app change the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTmailtoshellopencommand registry key when it opens and change it back when it closes.
How do I change the default taskbar Icon? I can change the application Icon but how do I change the "boxes" icon that appears in the taskbar? I found this but how do I change it to use a icon from file?[url]...
What I want to do is change the default Try Catch template so that includes the basic error handling code that is required by my company. I have tried to find the place where we can change this, but I only appear to be able to find out how to do things like change the class template and things like that rather than bits of code.
I am inheriting my own DataGridView (say MyDataGridView) from the standard DataGridView control. What I want is that certain properties of MyDataGridView should have a different default value than what its base have. For example, AllowUserToAddRows, AllowUserToDeleteRows, AllowUserToResizeRows properties should have the default values of False; so that when I drag MyDataGridView into a form in the IDE, the default values shown in the properties grid should be False. Later on, if I want to change them to True from the grid, they will be set accordingly.
I really want to do is change the default printer in Windows. No combobox populated with a list, just simply the syntax for changing the default printer.
i have developed a program on Visual Studio.Net 2005, also i have deployed the program and got a shortcut icon on desktop which is fine but when i go to C:\program files\[MyProject]\MyProject.exe, the ,exe file has the default icon, i want to change that default icon to the custom icon. Is it possible to change the default properties for different objects in the VB6 IDE (I'm sure any version would be similar, but this is the one we are currently using in my programming class in school). For example, is there anyway that automatically, when I create a Label, that it could already have AutoSize set to false, and BorderStyle to Fixed3D, etc.? I feel as if it would work greatly with the amount of time taken to layout my programs.
A similar request made the other day was for the color dialog to change at run time using the method below.can you show me where the difference is and of course how to resolve the problem as I want the user to be able to change the fonts.
I am trying to do an insert into a table called Policy. I keep getting an error that says parameter @Split has no default value. To try and resolve the problem, I set the default value of the split field (of type text) in the Policy table to "0" in Access 2007. I am passing in the value of a string "0" into the parameter before the insert statement executes.
Dim connection As OleDbConnection = PaulMeadeInsuranceDB.GetConnection Dim insertcommand2 As New OleDbCommand(insertStatement2, connection) connection.Open()
I'm trying to change the value in an editform before it becomes visible to the user. However the aspxgridview is always overwriting this.
This is my solution:
Protected Sub ASPxGridView_ItemList_HtmlRowCreated(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As DevExpress.Web.ASPxGridView.ASPxGridViewTableRowEventArgs) Handles ASPxGridView_Items.HtmlRowCreated If (e.RowType = GridViewRowType.EditForm) Then
Recently, I just helping my friend for developing game private server, in Game Client there are 3 application is needed, its is a patcher, launcher, and main exe, my friend use open source (C++ language) application for the patcher, the patcher is work nicely, and the launcher is program that launch main exe, its using launcher because main exe is need some argument to run, the launcher is created by me.The problem is the user can be run game directly without opening the patcher, so I want to change default command line (usually "0" / "1") in launcher to 3, and I have the trap if user open directly the launcher
If My.Application.CommandLineArgs.Item(0) = "3" Then MsgBox("Please Run Patcher to proceed the game!") End
If this were a Windows forms project I have used the System.Drawing.Printing namespace to accomplish my goal. However, I cannot import this namespace into a Class library.Overall here is what I am trying to do:I am trying to set the default printer using this namespace on both Windows XP and Windows 7 workstations. I am using Visual Basic 2008. My ultimate goal is to create a COM dll which is accessed from an older VBA program. The COM Dll will set the default printer to a new printer. Execution will return to the VBA program and it will print a Crystal Report. When the Crystal report is finished the VBA code will use the COM Dll one last time to set the default printer back to the original default Printer. But as I mentioned I cannot import the namespace I want to use into a Class library. Can someone give me some guidance on how to either import the namespace into a Class Library or how to determine the Default printer name and to set the Default printer to a different value?
Update: I was able to add the Imports Namespace after I added a reference to the correct DLL in Project Properties. My project is targeted at the 3.5 .Net Framework. The System.Drawing.Printing DLL is not in the 3.5 framework. That DLL is in the 2.0.50727 framework. After browsing and Adding that DLL, everything is working fine.BUT this leads to a new question. How would determining the default Printer be accomplished in the 3.5 .Net framework?Secondly, am I asking for trouble having a project target the 3.5 framework AND including a 2.0.50727 component in the same project?
Is there a way to change default Windows keyboard shortcuts like CTRL + C, CTRL + X etc. to my desired shortcuts like CTRL + J, CTRL + Q etc. in .NET ?
I can register the new hotkey easily with RegisterHotkey. I just need to unregister the hotkeys Windows has registered and add their functionality in the new hotkey.
