My requirement is The currentdate that is Today's date should be compared with the values of Fromdate and ToDate.First it should be check whether Schedule value is Weekly or Monthly or Yearly.If it is weekly than it should check the record in between fromDate to ToDate with a increment of one week.That means it should first check the first value of fromDate than add 7 days to the value and then again check from fromDate and this should continue till it reaches Todate.

i want to create a table that include a current year data and as well as previous data to be compare. here is the example of the table that i want to create: but i want to compare one of the annual data with the previous year. as example i want to compare between the data of current AR of 2007 with the current AR for 2006, Current AR of 2006 with current AR for 2005 and go on~, but i have no idea how to do it.
Depending on the data being used, I can have up 10,000 items in each of the 2 ListBoxs. I need to find and remove any Duplicates between the 2.I am currently using the method of select and Item from Listbox1 and search in Listbox2. If I find a match, then remove both items. This goes back and forth until all the duplicates have been removed. This take some time.Currently have the code in Old VB6 and VB2008 Express.
so here is my scenario. I have two input files... both are plain text files. File1 has customer name, customer address and invoice number. File2 has customer name, customer address, invoice number AND a keyline. File1 will only contain some of the records in File2, and it will change daily. I need to be able to compare File1 against File2 and output one file (preferably an Excel spreadsheet) with the info from File1 and the keyline from File2, that matches the duplicated info. I know the basics to get it to work, but I'm not sure what would be the easiest way of doing this... File2 can have up to 100,000 records per day. I'd only need to run it once a day though.
My dgview has some records. But I wanna eliminate the duplicate rows from dgview if the first column and the last column values are same for the rows.in the below image rl1,rl2,rl4 are repeated but the values in ch2 and ch3 are different but still the value in ch4 are same for rl1,rl2,rl4.
so i wanna keep the first instance of rl1,rl2,rl4 displayed at the first time and rest should be removed.
But look rl2 it is case sensitive as the first instance is displayed as rl2 and the second as RL2. But still ignore the case sensitive and should display the result as in dgview2. I am populating from a csv file and it must work for many records.

I want to connect to Sage Data, to the stock table, and select certain columns such as SKU, title, description, sales price and then select the rows I want and send these to an excel spreadsheet formatted in the style required for upload as product feeds to google shopping, shopzilla, amazon and Ebay etc.Each feed is formatted differently and I have to create these manually all the time so I want to try and automate the process. I've only got this far by luck, with many errors due to me and system and software problems. I thought this would be relatively easy as I once used an app to create a word document programmatically with a very thorough guide, it's not looking so easy now. I am having trouble with a table adapter i am working on. In the table adaptor query i am having adaptor take a sum of the data that falls within a date range in a few columns. then i have some text boxes on my program refencing the columns that are being summed together. The program then gives me an error when i go to run the function.
I am creating a project in VB.NET in which one of the reports require that the name of employees should be displayed as column names and whatever work they have done for a stated period should appear in rows below that particular column.Now as it is clear, the columns will have to be added at runtime. Am using an ODBC Data source to populate the grid. Also since a loop will have to be done to find out the work done by employees individually, so the number of rows under one column might be less or more than the rows in the next column.Is there a way to create an empty data table and then update its contents based on columns and not add data based on addition of new rows.

I am trying to find duplicates in a string. The code works more than I would. The purpose is to create a jagged array with values and positions like this one:
Value Positions 1 0,1,42,45 2 2,7,36,38,40 3 3,9,31,33,35 4 4,6,11,13,16,29 ......... and so on with unique keys and multiple or not values.
My code do this, but looping all over the string there a moment when it repeats values and positions, because already found them earlier. How do I make to keep just the UNIQUES? How do I skip the loop when the value is already in?

I have Dataset ds filled up with values Until now I was displaying values in GridView. Now I want that all the rows should be columns and columns should be rows.I have 2 options: Either 1 I can directly convert grid to columns and display it, or 2 I can convert the GridView to html and then write loops to convert. I'm creating an application that creates a list of 20 ramdomly selected numbers within an array and displaying those numbers in a listbox. I then need to display the duplicate numbers in an adjacent listbox by clicking the find duplicates button. How would I be able to access those 20 numbers in order to find the duplicates?
what is the fasted way to get all the rows from table1 that aren't in table2? i have over 4000 rows in table1, i am currently looping through using:
for each dr as datarow in dt1.rows then i check table2 to see if that entry exists using: dim rows() as datarow = dt2.select("EmployeID = " & dr!EmployeeID) if rows.length > 0 then it exists in both tables - dont need it
other wise i copy the row into a third table which ends up being my final collection of rows that are in table1 and not in table2. this takes a really long time. is there a better, faster way that isn't too complicated?
