The problem now is when I saved a record into sql server (EG Technical Manager) and try to view back the saved data, it always show the first item (Director) in combobox. But, my sql server has saved is "Technical Manager" for that saved record.

May 27, 2010When ever I add a new entry into the database, it will do it. When I click save, it will save it. When I go back to edit the entry after it was saved the first time, and I hit save again, I get a concurrency violation? It only does it when I add an entry. If I close the program out and restart it again I can save all day long as long as I don't add a new entry. First of all, dunno where the violation is coming from, but I only have a message box on my catch statement on the save button.
I have added it to the database using the following code 100 times and it has always worked:

My save code is:

Why after a million times of using this exact same code is it not working? It will save all day long no problem as long as I don't add a new entry. Here is my add

The message box for the add code never shows so I can't see that is causing any trouble. I am using VS2010 and a local database, not SQL. I just tried doing it again, I added an entry, I saved it, I got a successful message. I then tried to change something and I got a concurrency violation when I clicked save again. I then tried to delete an entry and it successfully deleted it, but when I went to edit another entry and save I got the violation.

Let me explain, this "Splash" is a WINDOWS FORM, not a splash form; its just named splash because I want to use it for that reason.In my project settings, my main form is my startup, and the splash form is my splash. Jul 14, 2011Using Visual Basic in Visual Studio 2008, I have created a Windows form with multiple tabs and questions. Each question has an associated drop-down listbox that the user will eventually click on to enter his or her response. My client has now informed me that she wants to change the standard responses in each response box. There are well over 100 drop-down listboxes, all with the same items, and they all must be changed.
I originally inputted the items using design view. Would someone please tell me if it's possible to edit all of these boxes in the design view simultaneously? When I control + click on more than one box, the Edit Items option that is normally available disappears. Is there a way to do it in code in a manner that would save back into design view?
