I've got a basic email application set up, and I'd like the "To" field (TextBox1) to be an autocomplete textbox.I'd also like the user to be able to edit what their contacts are, and so be able to add named to the autocomplete suggestions.I can get TextBox1's autocomplete suggestion to come from TextBox2's current Text - however this means I can only have one name as a suggested contact.Ideally, something like a list box would be ideal, so the user can add and remove names, and this list would then provide the source for the autocomplete.
I cannot seem to get my image resources to load into PictureBox1.I can see all the images I added as resources in the solution explorer. They are a series of PNG files with names associated with countries.I am at the beginning stages of randomly changing the image that is displayed in PictureBox1, but I cannot even get the first image to load. Here is my code so far. When I click on Button2 I can see that my array returns a random country, but no image loads.I even tried typing in several of the countries names as well as the country name followed by png (e.g. chine.png) and again no image loads.
Public Class Form1 Dim randomObject As New Random() Dim Flags() As String = {"australia", "brazil", "china", "italy", "russia", "south africa", "spain"}[code]......
I am trying to verify that an image has been loaded into the picturebox1. I am loading the image from the web and need to verify it has arrived before I can save it to disk. If I save it to soon I will save nothing and that will crash the app. I have tried to use 'if PictureBox1.image = nothing then' ... 'End If', but that isn't a valid check. I can obviously not check picturebox1.image if it is empty or has an image.
So the question is, how do I verify that the file has finished loading?
I am able to save images from a picturebox in the .png format properly, but not using .jpg or .gif formats. What I get is a black image only with .jpg and .gif. The picturebox has a white background with text and lines on it which I generate via VB coding.

I'm not sure this question belong in this topic, but I don't know where else it should be?
I have just found that if a DataGridView image column's size (height & width - in pixels) is smaller than the image's original size (in my case all images are exactly 180 x 180 pixels) at the time the cell is populated then the image is automatically being converted to a lower resolution I assume to fit the image completely within the size of the cell). How can I stop the automatic scaling of the image?
The image below show the same file displayed twice, both at 60x60 pixels ('Thumbnail' column) and a blowup of the image (PictureBox populated via the CellMouseEnter event) to it's right. You'll notice the resolution of the first blowup is far less the the second. so, what made the difference in the resolution of the blowups is? In the second blowup's case I'd first stretched the image column's width to ~180 pixels and set the row height to match (via the ColumnWidthChanged event) then populated the DataGridView then stretched the image column to 60 pixels (its minimum).
Can anyone help me to make a program which include a Button shows the current Month and the year and when clicking the button it shows a DialogBox ith a MonthCalender (this one I have done - the Monthcalender shown on a Dialogbox).Further I want to change the month shown as a Text of the Button when I click other Buttons to make the calender to go backwards or forwards,

I am working with vb.net and want to increase the size of image when the cursor is over that image, but the image should come back to its original size when the cursor leaves that image area.I've used the following code to increase the size of image:[code]I've used the default size class but, it gives some different dimensions.by the code that brings the image into its original size that I've been declared into the picture box properties.
I have a form with a PictureBox1, Texbox1, TextBox2, and Button1. What I want to be able to do is: Enter a name in TextBox1, and based on that "name", place an Image in PictureBox1 and insert the number of the Image in TextBox2.
Example: In TextBox1 I enter "Gia", and press Button1. The results will be a Image being inserted into Picturebox1 and the IDnumber of that image being inserted into TextBox2. All my images are stored in C:Images. My movie titles are stored in a sql database or a datagrid in the application. I'm very new at this and hopefully I explained this clearly. Thank you in advance. Here is my code. As you can see, it's hard coded. I need this to be dynamic, because the TextBox1 is a search box.
I am trying to split the image into 9 equal regions , and the below code does it well the problem is i want to get the selected image size and not picturebox sizeso what should i change to get the selected image size instead of picture box sizei dont want the picture box to grow in size with image because it will hide other buttons/textboxes etc
Dim xi As Integer = (PictureBox1.Image.Height) Dim yi As Integer = PictureBox1.Image.Width Dim px As Integer = xi / 3

I'm writing a Cleint/Host program that sends a image over tcp (from printscreen, not a file) to the host. Everything seems to work fine and the image is transmitted and displayed in a picturebox plus saved to a folder. The problem is when the printscreen is bigger than 176040 B. First the limit was 128000B but after setting the sendbuffersize and recivebuffersize to 1000kb the limit is 176040 B. Could it be a limit in the tcp protocol?
Here's the client code
