How To Insert AT Command Method Inside My Program To Receive Incoming Sms
Jul 9, 2009
May i know how to insert a AT command method inside my program to receive incoming sms?
My program is in visual basic windows form 2005.
Here is how my program goes.
After i click connect button in my application, the gsm modem will automatically read the incoming sms and display in the textbox on the program.
I already have the list of AT commands to be used, they are :
1. AT
2.AT+CMGF=1
3.AT+CMGL="ALL"
I also would like to know how to declare these commands as string inside the program.
Here is my program so far:
CODE;
This code is for the user to click on connect button which will connect to the serial port. So after connecting the modem will then auto read and display new incoming sms.
I am working on an assignment whereby i am requested to receive incoming messages via a gsm modem, i have tried to do so by writing at commands to the serial port where the gsm modem is connected to but there's one specific line which gives me error when i tried writing it to the serial port, (AT+CMGL= "ALL") which returns me an error: CMS ERROR: 305 which means Invalid Text mode parameter The following is the codes i have done up to so far, can anyone tell me what is the correct way to write this specific line to the serial port or is there any other methods that is able to do the same thing?[code]...
I am having problem receiving data from serial port. Btw, I am new to Visual studio 2010 too.
I do a test program on my PIC so that when button1 press, it will send character "Y" to visual studio; when button2 press, it will send character "N" to visual studio. I know for VS 2010, sending data out is by the command
I am working on a project to receive and send data to a micro controller using a Visual Basic application. I am using Visual Studio 2008. I have done coding to send data on button click event.
But I am stuck at how to receive incoming data to serial port continually from MCU and store it to an integer or string type data in VB.
I have an application that receives incoming data from a Radio Equipment through a hardware modem. How can I replace the hardware modem? Could I use the PC Sound Card in place of the modem?
Basically, I am looking to create a program with the CMD (command prompt) window inside of it.Along with a drop-down list, containing a few pre-made codes. For example; Is the easiest way to kinda accurately show what i'm attempting.Cross-thread operation not valid: Control 'txtResults' accessed from a thread other than the thread it was created on.
I have two tables and the form contains a text box so I need to add rows of Table 1 to Table 2 and taking the value in the text box for each row is added to Table 2.[code]...
I have recently started playing with sockets, so now i have set up an instant messaging app. it works like it's supposed to however, theres a slight problem. short of arranging for both parties to come online via email or something there's no way for the other person to know that someones waiting for them. So i'm basically looking for a way to send a pop-up message to tell the other dude to get his ass online,is there a way to display a message on a target pc's screen without a client application running and actively listening for an incoming command?
I want to receive command line argument in my application like this.I have two different projects A and b when i execute A it should give an error message ( No Arguments ) but if i executes the project B ( it should pass a command line argument and the project A should start normally. the problem it that i can start application with arguments but i do not know how to receive arguments and execute different processes.
User need to select their prefferable data to show in report. What i did is i have a clear command first to delete the temporary table. The temporary table is basically a table to stored user selection parameter data. After the clear command, i have a insert command to insert user selection data into the temporary table. What happened now is when i run the program exe, first run of the report is work fined, but not the second and the following times of execution. It will return null or blank report. The weird thing is when i execute it from development environment, it seem like the report is able to pick up user selection parameter and run the report for the first times and the subsequent execution.
While using the Socket.Receive method to receive messages through network, you should define a variable as the buffer and you have to specify the length like this: Code: Dim _ReadBuffer As Byte() = New Byte(LENGTH) {} My question is: What is the bad thing about increasing the length of this variable even if the received messages are sometimes shorter? (i.e. if some body let it 10000).
could someone tell me what i am doing wrong in this codeProtected Sub insert_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Insert.Click
I am developing vb.net windows application. I am trying to insert data with insert command.I am getting the insert data as long as the application is running. But when i close the application and reopen again the inserted data was not in the access database and i am getting no result. what is the problem, is it in code? i am using like
strsql=" Insert into table(col1,col2) values(val1,val2)" selectCommand as new oledb.command(strsql,strConn) selectCommand.ExecuteNonQuery()
Not inserting in the database but showing in application. how?
i trying to insert into database everytime a loop complete. but there is a syntax error saying "Incorrect syntax near '1'" at myCommand.ExecuteNonQuery(). here is my code and i really don't where went wrong. expert,
I am using a CheckedListBox that is populated with Filenames (full path, i.e. C:TestTest.jpg)When I have the files that I want in the CheckedListBox I wish to click a Start Button which will process the list one at a time using an exe program that runs on the Command Line. There are arguments that need to pass to the command line as well as the file location in order for the program to process.I currently have it working but the issue is the loop finishes quickly and it is left up to the CMD.exe to finish the process. What I would like is for the LOOP to wait until each file completes processing before passing the command for the next file in the CheckedListBox.There some reasons I wish for it to work this way.
1) I would like to have a button that can Pause/Restart the Loop.
2) I would like to have a button that can Stop the Loop so the whole process can end.
3) I would like to have the Loop remove each file one by one from the CheckedListBox after it has been processed.
4) I would like to display a Message once all the files have been processed.
5) And if it were possible I would like to report the status either by text or a progress bar showing where it is at in the process.
6) And the ability to add some error handling if possible.
Since the Loop finishes so quickly as it just passes the command to the command line using the & as a seperator it is the command line that is handling the rest of the process. Because of this there is not control over it in the GUI.The code I am using allows the Command Line text to display in the Form so it won't open up a seperate window to run CMD.exe. This is the desired affect as I would like everything to appear to run from within the Form itself.
I would like a method that opens a form which has a textbox. The user then types into the text ox and click the button "OK". The method then performs an action on the userinput before returning the manipulated value to the program.
I am using the following code to insert the Data inside the XML . Here the class Form3 is Add New User Form.
It worked for the first time . i.e the record was successfully inserted in XML file. but again when i tried to Create New User and Insert into XML file . it simply replaced the first record. i.e each time it just replace the previous record with current record inserted in XML file.
CODE:
Public Class Form3 Private Sub btnAdd_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnAdd.Click
so I have this code here which is *supposed* to save the contents of the user details form into an SQL database. However, when I run the program, always gives the following error:
I'm getting "Me' is valid only within an instance method" error when I convert function to a PageMethods. [code] If I remove Me, I get different error.I got this shopping cart script somewhere online and I'm not sure what to replace "Me.objDR" with something else.
I have been learning about OOP and classes from a book and one of the question is the book has asked to create a simple Saving/Checking accounts Program. The question says that most of the functionality must be done through an Accounts Class, and this Acoounts class must inherit certain private fileds from an base class 'Transaction.
The question also says that data from the Saving/Checking accounts Program must be read to and from a text file, and these functions must be done within the Acounts class.
i have done everything the question asks to the best of my knowlegde and understanding but when it comes to storing and retieving data from the textfile i cannot utilise the array i created to store the textfile data onto it.
Bank Account.Write a program to maintain a person's Savings and Checking accounts. The program should keep track of and display the balances in both accounts, and maintain a list of transactions (deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, and check clearings) separately for each account. The two lists of transactions should be stored in sequential files so that they will persist between program sessions.
Consider the form in Figure 11.12. The two dropdown combo boxes should each contain the items Checking and Savings. Each of the four group boxes corresponds to a type of transaction. (When Savings is selected in the Account combo box, the Check group box should disappear.) The user makes a transaction by typing data into the text boxes of a group box and pressing the button. The items appearing in the Transactions list box should correspond to the type of account that has been selected. The caption of the second label in the Transfer group box should toggle between "to Checking" and "to Savings" depending on the item selected in the "Transfer from" combo box. If a transaction cannot be carried out, a message (such as "Insufficient funds") should be displayed.
The program should use two classes, Transaction and Account. The class Transaction should have properties for transaction name, amount, date, and whether it is a credit (deposit) or debit (withdrawal/check). The class Account, which will have both a checking account and a savings account as instances, should use an array of Transaction objects. In addition, it should have properties for name (Checking or Savings) and balance. It should have methods to carry out a transaction (if possible), to display the list of transactions, and to load and retrieve the set of transactions into or from a sequential file. The events InsufficientFunds and TransactionCommitted should be triggered at appropriate times.
Hint: In order for an Account object to display a list of transactions, a list box should be passed to a method as an argument. The method might be declared with Sub EnumerateTransactions(ByVal lb As ListBox).
Here is my code. I am sorry this code is basic and unedited.
Public Class Form3 'load contents of Text file into the listbox when first loaded 'store data in file into array of accounts, record no. counts
Is there any way to know that a variable inside a method is Compiler generated.when decompiling a .net dll or exe the generated code looks like this. [code]
Is there a way in VB to make something that will simulate an advanced command prompt inside of a Windows Form? For example, something like a greenscreen app?
