2)Leave the form open in VS while I play the application ie. debug.

View 3 RepliesI want to be able to create a custom shape that holds icons. Lets say for simplicity that it is a sqaure. I need the ability to load up to X amount of icons in the square. Lets say I need up to 6 icons. These icons will always be the same. However not all custom shapes will need them. I am assuming that I have to create a custom shape object class. I also want the icons to automatically adjust in size when I change the size of the shape. I am guessing that one way to do this would be to drop a TableLayoutPanel into the shape and then dock it to the shape. Then set the dock property of the icon to the cell that it resides into within the TableLayoutPanel in the shape. The number of rows/columns of the TableLayoutPanel would be predicated on the number of icons needed.

When I click the button again, it is unchecked, but the form on the second monitor is still open, while it should be closed.

For those of you that dont know, just google search it.What I need help with is that I have an string array called ArrMap(0 to 19) that holds the 20 rows of each map for display. I also have an array of the same size called VisibleMap that needs to hold which portions of the map are visible and which arent so that when the player switches screens [IE goes from map, to inventory] they can go back to the map and it will look the same. I was thinking of using an array, but if you can think of another way to do it, that's fine.Here are the subs that deal with the map reading and display, so you know how I have things set up at the moment.

For speed, I've decided to use temporary tables as the recordsource for a report. The problem occurs when I try and tidy up after the report is closed by trying to drop the temp table. Trying to do this using database.execute "DROP TABLE x" where x is the name of the temp table. Get a Run-time 3211 error that the table still has locks. I figured that any locks generated by the report would be dropped at least by the Deactivate event, but that doesn't seem to be the case. how to use a temp table in the report withot incurring an enduring table lock? The report is the sole user.

I am trying to make the program close if the -1 string is sent with the program. See my installer allows for me to run certain programs before it actually installs, but it doesn't shut down copies of the program itself. So I have a next startup instance set to shut the program down if the -1 is received. But if the program is not running it starts up instead. This is not desired. form1.close doesn't work. e.cancel = true doesn't work, etc etc. What can I do to make the program not start during this instance.
I made vb.net program for 1440x900 resolution, if i run my program on 800x600 or 1024x768, my program's resolution is bigger then windows, so i have problem with resolution. Now i want to change my program's size and i am interested in, wich resolution is correct to make program, 800x600 such as minimum?
