Dec 15, 2011i want to create an exe in vb.net by packaging few perl files along with it. when i am packaging those files i am able to hide those files by making the hide option true. but if the 'show hidden files' is selected those files will be visible. I want to lock/prevent the user from opening the perl file/code. want to know if there is any way to do it.

The variable sFile above is a valid file name. The problem is that the WriteFile method prints an extra empty line at the end of sFile which is not desired. Is there any way to stop the "Print" method from doing so?

Sep 20, 2010I have 19 .CSV files that hold engineering data in single and multiple Arrays.I would like to loop through the Directory that contains the files and open each file, fill the array and close the file and continue to the next in Alphabetical order.
This code tells me how many files I have now and will update if I add more.

The problem is that this code is Opening a new second instance of the first form (Form1), when I see in debug mode and move my cursor over the frmPers variable, It's value is Nothing, altough I am seen it at the screen ¿Why is this? I got the whole "check if the user has input information correctly down pat how ever Its this whole, connecting to a database (sdf) if in another vb file ands calling that method into aspx file and proessing forum input to say "take this, insert into bla..." I come from java, JSP and J2ee bak ground where its not that diffrent and I dont have all week to read books and take baby steps. I have until tuseday morning to finsih this. Right now I am as far as forum validation....

Feb 15, 2012I have a program that can save user's input into a text file and load it back, but whenever I try to open the file and exit without selecting the file I get an error.(if i select the file and open it i don't get any errors).

I can open a save file by dragging it onto the exe. But not by double clicking the save file (after it's associated with the exe).I though dragging and dropping a file on a program and double clicking the file would open it in the same way, but I guess not.So in short how does file association work and how do I get the file path set to a var when the program loads.

Okay that keeps the track of my log file inside my richtextbox , but there is a big problem there. My richtextbox slows down hard if the log file gets too big.. Sometimes it kicks me out of the program and in taskbar it says Program Not Responding..
I wanted to know if there is a method to read a bigger Log file with out having such issues. (It mostly happens when log file goes over 13000 characters)
