Implement A Progress Bar Into Code + Timer

I am trying to implement a progress bar into my code but it seems to not run when another section of code is running. I set a timer to run when the ok button is clicked and it should then start the progress bar but also when clicking the ok button whatever radio button is selected also runs. I am trying to do this in Visual Basic 2008. I will post my current code below and I will say I am a complete novice at this so I apologize if the code looks weird:

I am trying to implement a BGW and want to report progress to a progress bar for my TextFieldParser program, sometimes if your opening very large files it takes a while and I would like the user to be able to see the progress and have some interaction so they know the program is still running I am a little hung up on what to in the reportprogress
I have:
worker.ReportProgress(0, myReader.ReadFields())
and its not doing anything, I didnt expect it too since ReadFields is an array

I have an object, - all done programmatically like:[code]I cannot figure out, how to add the times, so I can use it (Tics, Fire event, start/stop etc).I cannot add the timer to a panel via drag/drop as the class is made purely programmatically.MyTimer above seems not to have any "timer-related" properties/methods available. The docu suggest to add the timer to the panel, but how to do that in my case ? There seems to be several changes from VB Express 2005 to the 2008-version, that I'm using. Documentation contains only little info in this area.

I have a requirement for a timer that has the following behaviour:
Millisecond accuracy I want the tick event handler to only be called once the current tick handler has completed (much like the winforms timer)I want exceptions on the main UI thread not to be swallowed up by the thread timer so this requires Invoke/Send instead of BeginInvoke/PostI've played around with CreateTimerQueueTimer and had some success but at the same time had problems with code reentrance and/or locks when deleting the timer.
I decided to create my own timer so that I could get a better idea of what is going on under the hood so that I can fix the locking and reentrance problems. My code seems to work fine leading me to believe that I may as well use it. Does it look sound? I've put in a check if the timer is deleted to make sure that the deletion is complete before the timer can be created again. Does that look ok?
Note: I should say that I call timeBeginPeriod(1) and timeEndPeriod(1) inorder to achieve the millisecond accuracy.(The following code is converted from vb.net to c#, so apologies for any missed mess-ups}
ETA: I've found a problem with it. If the timer is running at an interval of 1 millisecond, and I call, say, Change(300), it locks up @ while (this.DeleteRequest). This must be because the TimerLoop is in the this.CallbackDelegate.Invoke(null) call.

I have been trying to accomplish what i thought was a fairly straightfoward task of tying a progress bar to a timer. I have a simple VB app that rotates between windows for a kiosk-type application. I would like to have a progress bar that counts down until the next window will rotate. So i thought it would be taking the total value of the timer and assigning that as the value of the progress bar, then update the progress bar while the timer is going so it can tick down to the end, then restart

I am trying to make a timer that beeps 3-5 times and runs a progress bar. All it has to do is click start (timer set for 2 minutes starts) and as time runs out the progress bar fills. When the time is up 3-5 beeps happen. I am missing the coding for the 3-5 beeps and design parts for it and all coding for that along with code for setting the 2 minute timing. Current i'm developing an application track storage of an item.in it abusiness rule says an item can be moved to more than one warehouses. Also i need to keep the history of the Item's history, Thereefore i need to create two entities,"Warehouse" and "ItemsHistoryOfLocations". I have developped an static class diagram to show the relationshop.These are the relationship rules between the classes:
1. A warehouse could be in an Item's History of locations.
2. A warehouse could be in many Items' History of locations.therefore in the forward relationshop -- 1..*
3. In an Item's History of locations, there must be at least one warehouse4. In an Item's history of locations, there can be more than one warehouse
Therefore in teh backward relationship -- 1..* Therefore the relationship betwween teh classes is a M:N. In another Object oriented scripting languaage when ever, and M:N relationship is found between classes, their relationship is slit and put a collection class called "MemberKeyDictionaries" as the bridging entity.But in C# / VB, should we create these collection classe. IF NOT, then how should i modify my class diagram to implement this M:N relationship? and h0w do i implement this M;N relationship in code?

We are working with an existing native application (most likely written in VB) that loads assemblies and calls methods with "Late Binding." We do NOT have access to its source code. We want to implement this interface in C#, and have the native application call our C# assembly. Is this anything we have to do beyond matching the method names and method signatures to make it work?

I need to utilize the GUID value in other classes within my application, as an example, as making registry entries.My goal is to have this editable at only 1 place in the template.I�ve created a Friend class that has the GUID string in it, but I�m unable to get the above to recognize the string. I�m sure that the code is simple, but it evades me.I would really like to do is to access the Guid that VS2010 vb.net creates (Project->Application->Assembly) shows and insert it into my application.
