Now here comes the tricky part. I have a button on my 'child' pages (ie: Claims.aspx). I'd really really really like to have that button execute either:
1) Javascript from the 'parent' page 2) A VB function in the code-behind of the 'parent' page
Any way to do this? (and really, why do I suddenly feel like I'm working with VB 3.0?
How can I access the HTML source ofIFrame within a page by using WebBrowser control?For example, if the iFrame consists of the following:<TD class=controlbar><TEXTAREA style="WIDTH: 540px; DISPLAY: none; HEIGHT: 250px" dir=ltr id=vB_Editor_001_textarea tabIndex=1 rows=10 cols=60 name=message>
I was just wondering how to get my vb 2008 form to either a)click iFrames button or link or b) enter text into the iframes textarea or textbox. I noticed that a lot of vBulletin forums have the iframe on their Textarea message box. I have a post that I like to do daily in the classified ads on futureproducers.com and was wondering how to get into the iframe so that I can automate a single post in their classifieds section.
My boss has given me an asp.net web application that was done by his former employee. Now my boss has no contact with that employee. He wants me to make some changes in that web application. I went through the application. There is no documentation present for that application . Its a huge application. It contains many directories. I think it was a team work. It has many asp pages, aspx pages, jsp pages, xml pages, css pages, etc... How to understand other person or team's website or web application that was written in asp or asp.net and vb or vb.net?
I am very familiar with modules from my time with VB and my other programming, but what is the most commonly used practice and the best way to go about this for a website application with ASP.NET? Say I have multiple pages (in multiple directories; some in the root directory, some in child directories from the root) that will call the same set of functions and subroutines, how do I go about putting this reusable code in a place where the pages and their respective classes can call the functions/subroutines?
I have a program developed in VB.NET (2008) which consists of a MDI form and several child forms. It worked like a normal mdi application whereby mdi form acted like a container for child forms and things worked out okay. Code like Me.Mdichildren or Me.ActiveMdiChild etc could be used to get list of child forms etc.
Now what happened is I needed to implement a tabbed system. There will be multiple tabs and forms would be in those tabs. So I added a Tab control in mdi form and now new forms are added to selected tab page. This way muliple tab pages can host forms and there is no need to see all childforms at once.But a problem has come up. I do say ChildForm.MdiParent = Me (as before) but then I say TabPage1.Controls.Add(ChildForm). Doing so functions like list of mdi children or me.activemdichild or auto arrange options like Cascade,Tile Horizontal, Vertical etc are not working.
In my asp.net projects there is a master page and there is a control on Contentplaceholder1. Changing this control's id after rendered like "ctl00_Contentplaceholder1_control" in my local. But at the server its changing like "Contentplaceholder1_control". When i used documents.getelelentbyid('ctl00_Contentplaceholder1_control') js function, its working on my local but not working at the server. So why disappearing "ctl00_" when app runs at the server?
Edit:Why doesn't the server side control id contains "ctl00_" after rendered?
making a general functions class library that will be used in several applications and asp pages, sometimes running at the same time.I've looked at a lot of samples on the web and they all show you to create an instance of the classlibrary namespace or the classlibrary class.
IE. dim obj2 as new mycompany.mynamespace.myclass dim n2 as integer n2 = obj2.somefunction(...)
What I did was create my class library and put a class in it and declared a function as sharred, then created my dll.I don't have to create an instance of it and I can use it like the net framework by just coding
The net framework does this, I mean once I imports it I don't have to make an instance of it in every function.All the samples I've seen about class libraries do not use the shared keyword.
I've created a tab control and on one of the pages I added a button, but I cannot move the button around with the mouse!? I can change the buttons position within the tab control page using the property Location and I can size the button using the mouse and the button is NOT locked. I even tried creating a new project with just the tab control and it still does the same thing. I can, tho, move the button using the keyboard arrows!
I'm using VS2010 V10.0.30319.1 RTMREL on WinXP SP3.
So here is the situation. I have a button on one of my extjs pages. This button opens a child window as a pop-up. This child window has a .method attribute as well as a .ref attribute, and also a .id. I need the functionality to open another window with the SAME template, everytime I click that button.I was thinking set the childwindow .method property to something like 'getWindow', and the .ref to something like 'newWindow' and then create a javascript function on the backend to look something like this:
var myArray = []; var count = 0; function getWindow() {
form1 has datagridview, when I click "add new", form2 appears(details view, allowing me to add new records into datagridview on form1). when I click "add new" again, form2 appears again, if I click x times, form2 will appear x times. How do I stop the add new button and all the functions on form1 from working until form2 is closed?
I have a parent page and child page, both aspx. All is working, but now I would like to close child page, if user leaves child popup page and goes back to parent page and clicks on something else like page index of Gridview. I CANNOT close popup child page if user goes to another app, or some other location, I only want to close if something on parent page is changed.
I have the PageIndexChange Event set up for other purposes, I would just like to add some functionality, perhaps a script manager to close the child popup page if the Gridview index is changed, java or another way which ever works best.I think I might also need to check if the child page is even open.
I am using Stanav's PdfManipulation2.AddImageToPage(..., Pages) for iTextSharp library (v5.1.3) and was not able to add the image to specific pages: e.g. to add to only page 1 and 3 of a five pages PDF
Dim Pages() As Integer Pages = New Integer() {1, 3} PdfManipulation2.AddImageToPage(..., Pages)
Calling AddImageToPage() with the the optional Pages parameter will add the image to all pages though.
I have a form on a .NET webserver using aspx pages with the vb code-behind pages. The form collects the entered data and then emails it, that part works fine.Right after it gets emailed, this code checks to see if the email was sent or not and then updates the landing page accordingly. I used to use just an IF THEN statement, but now that doesn't work in these new .NET pages. Here's the end of the code that I am having difficulties with:
I have heard of setting server specs to have HTML pages parsed as PHP pages by changing the .htaccess or httpd.conf files. Is there a similar solution to have HTML pages parsed as ASPX pages?
A website I am working on does not want their PageRank to lower since their HTML pages are already indexed and used on other websites but wants to use some dynamic features of aspx pages (like include the navigation file so that changes to the nav will only have to be done in that one file).
it seems to me that the webbrowser.document.frames collection disappears in the webbrowser control how can i access the dom trees in frames now? i'm using VS2008
I'm new to this forum and was wondering if somebody could help me out on the visual basic 2008 webbrowser filling iFrames.Here is an example iFrame below
Im working with MDI parent/child objects. when closing the child objects i need the child to check to see if it is the last child object before closing. i couldn't find anything on google, maybe im searching for the wrong thing.
I have multiple iframe items on a page (vb.net based application), in particular, one is a frame that holds links that generate the details frame. Currently the javascript is working for IE but when used in any other browser it does not work correctly. Here is the line that is causing this errorwindow.parent.detailFrame.location.href = form + "?cat=" + cat + "&par=" + par + "&HighlightID=" + HighlightID;I can tell this line is incorrect in firefox because when placing alerts in the function after this line, they do not fire, but they do in IE. can anyone see what needs to be done for this to work in both firefox and IE?
edit: i am able to use items like window.parent.getElementById('detailFrame').location
So, I'm trying to make a spiffy little program that lets you search for flash games, and it will automatically display the flash game within the program. (by writing document text to a webbrowser control) Unfortunately, the site I use to get the games from uses iFrames from Custom Google Search to house the search results. I know how to deal with frames in a webbrowser (WebBrowser1.document.window.frames("frame name here").document.so on and so forth), however it seems as though iFrames are different. When I try
WebBrowser1.document.window.frames("googleSearchFrame") , it doesn't recognize that it's there. Same thing if I replace the name with the index of the frame - it's not there. Using
I have an aspx page which houses an iframe. When a button is clicked, a WCF is called to produce a PDF which is read into a byte array. I was storing the byte array in a Globals.vb file like this:
Public Shared PDF_Data as Byte()
The global was loaded from the parent aspx page like this:
PDF_Data = MyWCF.Create_PDF_File(SomeVariable)
After that, the iFrame's src was set to a blank aspx page, which had the following code in the page_load event:
'Write the PDF binary data to the screen (viewer) Response.Clear() Response.Buffer = True Response.ContentType = "application/pdf" Response.BinaryWrite(Globals.PDF_Data.ToArray)
However, realizing that this application will have several users who will get different PDF documents, I have learned that this is not the way to go. My shared variable would be accessible to all users, a big no-no.However, I am stumped as to how I'm going to store the byte array and make it available to a child aspx page from it's parent.
I currently have a main page called "ShowFrames.php" that has this html code in it:
[Code]...
I have loaded "ShowFrames.php" onto my WebBrowser1 control and it loads both of the frames onto the webbrowser control. Now my question is, how can I get the source of either of the iframes WITHOUT loading that frame by itself? For instance, when you load 2 frames on a screen in Firefox, it lets you right click on it, and select "This Frame" > "View Source" so you can view the sources separately. Can anyone tell me how I can duplicate this and put the source in variable strSource? I know that to get source code for a page, you need this WebBrowser1.Document.Body.InnerHtml But I dont know where to go from there in order to get a specific iframe's source.
i have this program which records the every printing made on a local computer.I am to record the number of pages of the document to be printed and the number of printed pages. i have this code but i don't know the number of pages and number printed pages always return 0 [Code].
