i have simple application which contain one listbox. i am loading item in listbox from one file. around 130000 items in it. when i run this application on xp computer i am able to scroll down all item perfectly from first to end. But when i run this application on vista machine, it only shows 50% of item if i scroll down with that bar on right on listbox. but when i reach end of list (which is item number 65000) and than use "Down arrow " of listbox it move to item n umber 65001 and later and scroll bar move again center of listbox. After i move to record number 65001 and more by clicking down arrow and use scroll bar at center to move further down to end it again shows 65000 item. But in windows xp it shows all item perfectly.

IntelliSense will generate a little balloon that says 'Public ReadOnly Property Count() I saw the () after Count and thought that meant that was the proper way to code it. So that is what I did. The code seems to work with ...Count() or just ...Count. I was wondering if there is some reason why the parens show up after the description of the Property in IntelliSense.

I am using VB.NET (version 2008). I have two types of items populating in a listbox (checked listbox). For example: lets say one is type "A" and other is "Type B". Their names maybe same so if the user sees those items in listbox then he won;t be able to determine their type until he click on them and checks out its properties. I wanted that I add each item to listbox and colour them so that blue for example means type "A" is there and red means the other. So this way I will be able to know at a glance that how many item of what type is present. I guess it may not be possible to do that in a standard checkedlistbox. I am also using component factory's krypton controls which enhance the gui of an application. But I dunno if I can progress using that.
I have 2 Richtextboxws on the form. I need for each textbox to take up half the form width and full height. also, I need those textboxes to keep the above mentioned proportions even when then the form size is changed on the screen.
Another program I am working on for fun, I am basically shuffling a list inside a listbox, what I want to do is delete the rest but not sure how to go through with that. What I am doing is I have 20 list of items, I want the program to shuffle the items and then deleting the lower 10, meaning, if I had 10 items and wanted 5 top, I'd want: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and deleting 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.

What my program does is load a file (password list), then progressively reads each line of text in the file whilst writing each line to a new file. After X amount of lines have been written, it should start writing the lines of text to a new document until the initial password list has been split into X amount of password lists. The problem I have is that after hours of tweaking, all I can get it to do is write either blank ocuments, or write all of the lines to only one file. I really need it to be able to split into multiple files, preferably at runtime rather than loading a whole text document into the program in a textbox or array then writing it to new files.Below is the source:

What I want to do is write a number of subs, so that each time a menu item is clicked a sub is called. I'm a little confused there dosn't seem to be a click event for individual menu item ( vistamenuitem ) . I know that there is a an event that is called for the overall menu, but this doesn't help because I want to execute a different subs depending on which menu item is clicked.

I am trying to make a small control that has a picturebox and a few labels that can be dragged on the form it is placed on. The control was easy, and I can drag it fine when the mouse is down on the control, where there are no other controls, like not over the picturebox or labels.
When i try to click and drag the user-control and the mouse is on the picture box or labels of the control the mouse down event is not detected. I am hoping someone can tell me how to pass the mouse-down event from the controls on the user-control so the form I place it on detects the mouse down even no matter where on the control i click.

I have one listbox that I want to populate with directories file's names. I don't mean the files inside the directories, but the names of the folders inside the directory.So, I have "c:empdog", I'd click on my button or whatever and search for the directory and I choose "temp", said listbox would show "dog".

my homework question is to display the selected items from a listbox (multi-extended) in a label. I need to display all the selected names in a label. the simplest most uncluttered way of doing this. This is what I've got but it doesn't work.
Why is this code having the opposite effect? If It's checked in the checkedlistbox it's not check in my view, if it's not check in my checkedlistbox it is checked in the grid.
EDIT: More specifically. The CheckState.Checked is always the opposite. .Checked means it's not checked.
