I also have two listviews which display information about the currently selected device on the treeview. I'm only concerned with the first listview at this point. The information displayed in the listview varies depending on the selected device. I'm using the node index to track which device class and device is selected and I pass this into the device class Display method. I hate the idea of a big Select Case statement. Then there is also the dynamic nature of the device tree to consider.

Each of these values will have a predetermined string that is different from the CheckBox's caption and will be joined to create a final string. I want to generate all the possible combinations for when there are 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on up to 12 of these options at once. the description of what the program is supposed to do is this: Create a program that assists in shipping widgets. When a customer orders widgets it determines how many boxes and how many bubble envelopes are required. Four widgets fit in a box. Any left over widgets are shipped in an envelope. Follow all best practices. Submit, Clear and Exit commands must be available. Be sure to have a menu and Access Keys.
So far I have a simple form layout with 3 labels and 3 textboxes. I Know to solve for boxes It has to divide Widgets by 4 But i do not no how to get the remainder into the separate envelope text box.

Right now i have the following code. it is 4 radio buttons that if selected will display the price of a ticket.
There is a button called "repeat offender" that should take the price and double it. so me, being new to visual basic, were thinking of trying an if statement such as If it is selected decTicketTotal * 2
But this did not work. any help would be appreciated.. just trying to get the repeat offender selection working so when it calculates the price will double.

I need some help in the creation of a program to generate a security code based on the current date. I need to create something that first multiplies the MMDDYY (ie X=MM * DD * YY) then also adds the MMDDYY then finds the remainder and then multiplies but a specified number. I would like to create a small program that sits in the system tray with this code displayed. The code will always need to be 6 characters, so I might need to pad it with zeros. It has been years since I took basic VB, and I am really rusty.

I started this tutorial on sub procedures and am having trouble trying to get this program to execute properly. The problem lies with the total. I am trying to figure out the math part of it. When I hit F5 I can see this

But I can't get them to add up and display the quantity and price. I tried the ByVal and ByRef code but am not sure if I did it right

I am having my app available for 30days free trial, but after that you have to purchase a serial, how can i make my app only recognize a specific type e.g NumberLetterLetterNumberLetterLetterNumberNumber-NumberLetter-Letter:NumberNumberNumberNumber?

The program I am working on uses arrays and a text file. In one section of the program it's suppose to display the most active year for storms between the years 1990-2008. The year that has the most active storms is 2005, but I don't know how to write it in the code so that it displays. Attached is the text file.

The problem is that it underline KEY and say declaration expected but shouldn't dim do the job for the declaration.
In my Windows Form I have a ComboBox that is filled by a Stored Procedure with a list of names. I have the Combobox set for AutoComplete to "Suggest" and From "ListItems". When a user starts to type in and the AutoComplete does not find any matches in the listitems the user can tab out of the ComboBox and leave what they typed in the combobox even though it is not one of the Valid Items. Is there a way to check the Comboxbox to make sure of of the selected Items has been selected?
