Is there any way that still allows playing the game without launching a webpage request? I have no code for this part of the program because I don't know where to look. I think I am just looking on how to block requests for launching anything outside of the program, or catching the request while my program is running, but not quite sure what to do.

Feb 1, 2009I've recently been working on a simple media player (following some guide and using my small brain ). I have created a simple playlist, with load/ save ability, add remove track and play and all the normal bull . However I was wondering if I could get some help making it more advanced: How do I create my own track / volume sliders - and even a custom 'screen' to play visualisations / movies? how do I create skip buttons (the ones on the media player controller don't work :@)? I know how to make a button skip a track (I think), but how to I make it skip to the next track in my playlist box? [code] I have created a context menu for my playlist, with buttons such as play, add and remove, but I want it so that when I right click on song the code activates on the song I right clicked on. At the minute whatever song I right click on it still runs the code on the song that selected not the one I right clicked on.Also my playlist, displays the whole file location of the tracks, how to I make it display only the tracks name.Also I have an open dialog control, I know how to set a filter, but how do i set it to filter more than one extension.please note that most of this code is from various guises, and I have simply edited it and merged different codes to suit my needs. VS 2008 - Code - Application That Will Organize The Movies And Their Release Dates
Sep 18, 2009I am making an application that will organize the movies and their release dates for me and that it will notify me whenever a movie is released. So far I have the layout almost done with some parts missing.
BASICS
1. At the top as you can see I want the text to display the current day and having the tool tip to say "Today is Tuesday 19, 2009" while I want the text to be centered.
2. I want to have a poster with a specific size (dimensions) that will be displayed when the movie is selected at the data grid and I want the buttons to be able to select the previous or next data grid line, meaning next/previous movie.
3. I want to make the buttons either check all the boxes or uncheck them all. And I want the validate button to be able to compare the date of the selected movie with the current day and tell me If it was released today or not.
4. I will make a menu at the top that will be giving you the ability to add movies or select and delete movies, while when adding being able to specify a poster for the movie.
5. I want every time that I run the app to automatically check the dates and either ask me to remove those who have been released some time ago or give me a message like "Movie was released today".

May 31, 2009I found some great code on capturing webcam images but the problem is the client PC will need to initiate the communication to this server (click Connect to server IP). This is like 2 way communication.How can i do something like this (door Kiosk system):when a visitor press a button on the LCD that come along a web cam (this will be the server), it will send the signal the client PC that is installed with the application i've created (window form) and pop up the images to the client PC (more like a 1 way communication). This image is captured through the web cam on the server to capture the visotor's image waiting outside of the door. How to do this?I'm really stuck as i'm not familiar with window API programming yet.
1) how to do the mentioned 1 way communication? possible in .NET?

VS 2010 Checking Time To Play A Sound?
Aug 21, 2011I have a program which have to play a sound at a specific time in each day.Currently I made a timer with 450 interval and I put a code in it which check if datetime.now = mytime then it will play the sound.(the program runs in background)
It is working but the problem is that sometimes it doesn't play the sound. I think I didn't used a proper way to this.I have even tried checking datetime.now.hour & .minute & .second with mytime to make sure it does play it at the right time But I don't know why the timer sometimes miss it and the play sound won't be run.
AxWindowsMediaPlayer - Current Position And Play Time Difference?
Jan 10, 2012I'm using VB 2010 Express with two instance of AxWindowsMediaPlayer in order to sync two videos (the videos are of the same thing but from two camera angles). Because the videos were started at slightly different times I've manually set the start time of each one using the following
AxWindowsMediaPlayer1.Ctlcontrols.currentPosition = 314.5093196
AxWindowsMediaPlayer2.Ctlcontrols.currentPosition = 237.1639908
The problem I'm having is that whilst the WMP clock initially displays the above times in each AxWindowsMediaPlayer, when I play the videos each starts a few seconds out from the stated currentPositions.
The video files are around 300MB each and when testing with smaller video files the problem does not seem to happen. I'm guessing the large file size is causing some delay and hence causing the problem.

Which selects a random number 0 - 26 and selects the corresponding song.
And a straight play feature:

All of these activated by a button(separate for each)
When I click one, it makes the program stop responding. I'm pretty sure it is the .WaitToComplete mode, but I can't find a way to make it continuously play without it. If you can find my error. Also if you could tell me a way to make the shuffle never play the same song twice, that would be awesome as well.
