i want to make the listview control collapsible to the groups alone. Like in Vista's My Computer, where only the group names are shown and then we click on the group to expand it

I want to know if it is possible to nest groups within a listview. I started with a listview in my application that contains list types and this worked fine. I have now been asked to group by Product, then Week Commencing and finally by List Type; This would envolve a 3 group nest and i just cant figure out how to do it (if at all possible).

Any snippet of code for adding groups at run-time to a listview. I am currently listing books (and stats) without groups via the following code which is executed in a loop (one pass per book title).

The listview is set to details view. What I want to do is group the book titles by series. For example, books by Michael Connelly may be grouped by "Harry Bosch", "Jack McEvoy", "Mickey Haller", etc. I can create a new group for each new series by

If cbType.Text was "Dog", it will add another "dog" group header every time I add an item having selected dog, when I want to add the item to the existing dog group.
I constructed a form with a listview and programatically added items and groups to it. It worked perfectly. I have now made it an MDI child form and the grouping disappears. I even removed my code and simply added groups and items through the form designer. The items display fine but not the groups.

I am currently using VB 2008 and there is a form I'm using which contains a listview control. I am dynamically filling the listview with groups and items. After I fill it up, it is supposed to look like this:

Each item is specific for each group. The problem I have is that when I maximize the form to full size, and everything expands, the items change positions into something like this:

How can I make the listview keep the items in the "row" view always, instead of the "column" view whether I maximize or not?

I'm building an control interface for a system that consists of 1-4 modules. In my interface, each module has its own control set, grouped in a groupbox. I only want to show the control groups for the modules that are actually connected and hide the rest.
This is easy to do with the visble property.
I also want all of the groups to be stacked vertically in the UI such that when one is hidden, the rest below it shift up into its place as if you deleted a row in a table. It needs to be able to come back just as easily.
I am using control groups per question and inside 5 radio buttons so they choose an answer. Its 25 questions and 5 questions per "page". On the same frame I just initially show the 1st 5 questions and as the student answers them and hit next hide those 5 and show the next 5. Here is where the problem begins, not a problem per-se but still bugs me. One of the next 5 questions will already be checked inside a control group for one of the radio buttons.
I have checked the properties and they all show on "Checked: False". Is there somewhere in code where I can make sure they are false or it may be the fact that I have 5 control groups on top of each other? Because I want the student to be able to show the next 5 questions only if he has answer the 5 being shown. Also the 1st 5 are never marked unless by user its only when I show the next 5 ones and hide the initial 5.
In my grid I have data in two columns same for couple of rows. Then again couple of other rows will same with different data.I want make them into alternative sections with colors In below example(image).

Like the title says, panel/window, I'm not sure what controls are used to get the effect of collapsible windows, so I don't know what to search for. I'm trying to add 2 windows to my main form, one will have a treeview on the left and the other I would like to have similar to the VS collapsible panel/window (not sure if they're windows or panels or whatever) that will display detailed information about an item selected from a Listview on the main form. I don't need the fancy "Autohide" or other features, just a simple docked area that I can collapse/show whenever needed.

I have custom collapsible panel control. I put it into a FlowLayoutPanel. he FlowLayoutPanel is docked within my form. The Panel Anchor property is set to Left/Top. The purpose of the anchor is so that if I want to put multiple panels in the FlowLAyout Panel, they will all stay snuggly together when they are expanding and collapsing. The panels work fine.

I'm using ListView control, with SmallIcons style in VB.NET. Icons are loaded fine, but when I start to scroll ListView down or up from scrollbar (clicking from arrows), rowheight drops to about half from normal in next 20-30 rows below/above upper/bottom row (depends from the scrolling position). After 1-2 seconds, ListView is "refreshed" and scrolling continues normally. When focus in on the ListView and I'm moving up/down with arrow keys or PageUp/PageDown, everything is normal. Any suggestions, what is happening? SmallIcons size is 16 * 16. Is it compulsory to set "Blank icon" with SmallIcon size to all rows, when adding them or what? Wasn't like that in VB6, how is it in VB.NET?

However, I recently tried to use it in a repeater. Essentially my company wants to have a number of different values displayed as the main repeater (no problem setting that up). When the user clicks on a field within that repeater, they would like the collapsible panel to open up and display the detail information for that piece of data. The details are within a sub repeater.The repeater functionality and the child repeater functionality are working perfectly. So the repeater and the child repeater aren't the issue. If I take the collapsible panel extender out the data displays perfectly.The problem is that once I start opening and closing the panels, the screen rendering starts to go crazy, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason for it.
For example, on the initial screen rendering I get seven entries. They look perfect. Each of the seven line up across the screen and no extraneous data is shown.I click to open the first row, and it displays great. No problem. But when I then click it again to close the first row, I only see the first four rows of data, then a huge white space with a few seemingly random characters, then the next 2 rows, a smaller whitespace, then the seventh row. I click to open the first row again and everything looks exactly as it should again. Again close, again 4 rows, whitespace, 2 rows whitespace, last row.I reload the page and everything is ok.
So now I click on the second row to open it and everything looks perfect. I close the second row and I get the exact same result.Has anyone ever tried to use the ajax collapsible panel inside a repeater? If so, have you encountered strange rendering behavior such as this? I have been able to associate a listview control with an imageview control to display images. There are a couple of things, I would like to do.
1> How do I display the image in the second column? 2> How do I increase the size of the image getting displayed? My images are all 48 x 48 (pixels), but they keep shrinking.

I am trying to use the Web Browser control in my vb .net user control. I am using VS 2008. Finally, I will be calling my assembly (.dll) from a web page. I wanted to display the usercontrol with the web browser control inside this web page. The problem is I cannot proceed since the Web browser control cannot be called from a partially trusted assembly. Using VS 2008 I have created a strong name for my class, also added the <Assembly: AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers()> to the AssemblyInfo. But still the web browser control cannot be seen in my web page. Do you how I can make my assembly fully trusted so that it can access web browser control? If you have used web browser control, can you confirm if this step is really required?!

If I hide [Textbox 3] as of now, it will disperse the space left equally and pad the remaining text boxes with the space. However, I would like it to do this...
