i'm an IT student working on a project(point of sale) but i'm unable to display the price of the item, weight and name into a textbox from an access database and to insert multiple barcode items in order to get the subtotal.
Actually i was done in coding the change but when i subtract the tendered and total.. the answer in change was zero...What is the proper coding in this? [code]Please use code tags when posting your code. Code tags are used like so =>
I am developing a point of sale program for a project subject. The trouble im having is when i press on the button to add the item from a textbox to a listview i receive an error: See attached Screenshot.
my code is:
Private Sub SalesScreen_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load Me.CustomerTextBox.Text = "Cash Customer" 'Sets the properties of the listview SalesScreenListView.View = View.Details
I am new to vb.net database programming yet i want to create a point of sale software using it. So far I have created a local database, POSSdatabase.sdf , and I have 2 tables, Inventory and Transactions.
My problem is how do I relate these 2 tables? I have primary key Item Code in both tables. I want to make Inventory table as main maybe, and transaction will reference any data from it. Edit]Another problem is how do I calculate value Quantity and Price column in Transaction to a new column Total in the same table.
May I know how to code a Table Management for a Restaurant Point of Sale system by using VB 2005? what engine or features in the VS that I should be using for this. Or if there is any place where I can find some example source?
Table Management feature in the POS should be able to have an editor to put in tables/chairs/obstacles and etc. Each bill that been open via the POS will be able to assign to the particular Table in the Table Management and to save it.
If anyone has ever worked in the food industry, you are familiar with the P.O.S. system that you place orders into. If a company adds a new menu Item, they don't have to rehire the programmer to code in the button, there is a script in place that will allow them to add their own buttons.
I am running a Point of Sale program that writes the ticket information to a text file and then prints the file. The problem I am running into on the one of the computers I am dealing with is that it prints the vbTab I am sending as one space. The computer is running Windows 2000 SP4 and has the .NET framework up to 2.0
I am trying to develop a simple inventory system. I now have all the database set up and would like to know if there is any code that I can refer to that alert users when the stock is low (e.g pop out window informing users that stock is low or change the number of stock in the database table into different colors).
Im still a bit newb to coding in Vb but Im trying to figure out how to make a simple inventory system for my video game. I need it to do a few simple things and Ive never made a inventory system before so im a bit lost on how to approach it.
Functions Needed:
Player has 40 pb that act as the visual inventory or display the item in that slot.

I set up my armor menu to allow drag an drop of the item but again not sure how to even get the inventory system created to finish the armor menu to allow the object to be dragged into its box and remove its self from the player inventory.I think I need to make a array for 39 or 40 in my adventurestorage class. That part Im pretty certain of but how do I set that part up? I have over 200 images that need to act as a item that can be dropped into the inventory.
am developing an inventory management system. have two listview controls. one for ITEM and another for details pertaining date, quantity, cost, issued to and so on. i want a vb.net code that if a given item in listview A is clicked, listview B details are cleared and then the details of that item are loaded and displayed on listview B.there is no criteria of loading like between a range of dates; just all records in the database.
I have just finished college and I am awaiting my exam date. I have created some desktop applications for my portfolio, but now I want to create a Point of Sales (POS) system to add to the list.I notice in supermarkets and various shops that POS systems use touch screen monitors to interact with the program. My first question is, do I need to use different code or controls in my applications so they can be used with touch screen monitors.I have created an application for hotels for booking rooms (not for a client, just as a demo project), but if there is anyone out there who could give me some pointers on how to create the POS system.I will be doing some research and I will start designing some controls over the next few days. I am looking forward to getting this project started.
<DllImport("user32.dll")> _ Friend Shared Function WindowFromPoint(ByVal Point As System.Drawning.Point) As IntPtr End Function
If I execute the Code Analysis I obtain this warning (The text is translated from italian, probably in the english language should be a bit different)
Warning 13 CA1901: Microsoft.Portability: According to the code statement, the parameter 'Point' of P / Invoke 'NativeMethods.WindowFromPoint (Point)' will be 8 bytes on 32-bit platforms. This is incorrect since the actual declaration native API indicating that it should be 4 bytes on 32-bit platforms. Consult the documentation MSDN Platform SDK to determine the type of data to be used in place of 'Point'
Now, since the structure System.Drawning.Point consists of two Int32 (4 bit) Integer: [URL]
I don't understand why this warning.
WindowFromPoint is normally used with the position of the cursor, Cursor.Position, which is a System.Drawning.Point.... Dim Hwnd as IntPtr = WindowFromPoint(Cursor.Position)
I hve been working with points a lot recently, and I have been wondering if there is a way to set a point without setting point.x and point.y separately. For example for (3, 5): Point1 = (3, 5) But that isn't right
I have a chat/server system and when the text gets to a point were the scrollbar becomes active it dosnt go to the bottom it goes to the top. So say I was at the bottom of everyones text and than I write somthing it will shot me back to the top. My code is:TextBox1.Text &= vbCrLf & readData
Dim pt As Point, is the problem here, i know that this class point can belong to the types Inventor or System drawing.I want to make it part of the System drawing, how i do this ?
I have a Diagonal line drawn on a picture box on my forum and i need to know if the user has clicked the line I have the Start point and End Point of the Line and the mouse x,y location So i basically need to find out if the x,y of the mouse is on the line.
I'm trying to extract a piece of text from within the string, defining both a starting point and an ending point. For instance, say I want to search for the text found between "That is a " and " car" in the string "That is a red car", so it would return "red".I know you can use .SelectionStart and SelectionLength, but the length of the word can change, so the selection length can vary. What I want is to establish a specific starting point and a specific ending point from which to extract the text from the string.
If i had a structure and a list of the structure like this [code]Using Linq, how would i get the total sum of the saleprice from the list but the solddate has to be within 2 given dates.
i have a picturebox which displays a map i have 2 modes add point and delete point when the user clicks the picture it creates a point on the picture where the user has clicked that works perfectly its when i try and delete the point when it doesent work :/ i have all the points loading from an xml file this is the code i have:
[Code]...
basicly i want it to when the user clicks the point it fines the x any y in the xml delete the node then delete all the points on the map then reload them all according to the xml
I'm trying to calculate the direction between two points on a two-dimensional grid. Actually I want to determine if that vector is within a range of two values. Suppose the grid's origin is 0,0 at the upper left corner, and 0 degrees represents north. I have a point A on that grid. I want to know if a line from point A to point B on the grid is within a range of directions between 111.8 degrees (a little south of east) and 158.2 (a little east of south). Those are approximations; the 111.8 is 90 degrees plus the arctangent of 2/5, and 158.2 is 180 minus that value. I worked out a series of calculations worthy of a medieval astronomer, but I suspect there is a simpler way. I'm going to have to do this for a variety of other vectors, and I'd like to generalize
I know how I can construct an icon setting point by point, but that isn't what I want. I want to use a bitmap file or a jpeg -is easy to convert an jpeg to an bitmap- and built an icon that looks like this picture.
