Make A Simple Inventory System For Video Game?
Nov 3, 2011Im still a bit newb to coding in Vb but Im trying to figure out how to make a simple inventory system for my video game. I need it to do a few simple things and Ive never made a inventory system before so im a bit lost on how to approach it.
Functions Needed:
Player has 40 pb that act as the visual inventory or display the item in that slot.

I set up my armor menu to allow drag an drop of the item but again not sure how to even get the inventory system created to finish the armor menu to allow the object to be dragged into its box and remove its self from the player inventory.I think I need to make a array for 39 or 40 in my adventurestorage class. That part Im pretty certain of but how do I set that part up? I have over 200 images that need to act as a item that can be dropped into the inventory.

I have created some desktop applications for my portfolio, but now I want to create a Point of Sales (POS) system to add to the list.I notice in supermarkets and various shops that POS systems use touch screen monitors to interact with the program.My first question is, do I need to use different code or controls in my applications so they can be used with touch screen monitors.I have created an application for hotels for booking rooms (not for a client, just as a demo project), but if there is anyone out there who could give me some pointers on how to create the POS system.I will be doing some research and I will start designing some controls over the next few days. I am looking forward to getting this project started.

Data input by user using text box and all this information will be stored in a database (sales database) I'm using ms access 2007. the grand total will be displayed in a text box. And amount paid will be input in a text box too, my major problem now is how to I create a receipt that will have all this information of the purchase. I have a receipt button. How to get the reciept done.

Nov 10, 2009I am an aid in a technology classroom at a middle school. They have 12 computers that must be logged into everyday. The teacher has given me the password to log in the computers for the students, because he doesn't want them to know it. The teacher's computer is linked to the other 12. I was wondering if it is possible to develop a program that has a list of the 12 computers with 2 fields, one for user name and password. These for each computer. You would enter the username and password and it would log in the computer. This would be done from the teacher's computer. But users find it very annoying to download SQL server (of 58 MB) before installing the software.I am definitely not using SQL this time. More upgrades happen and I install till Ver 1.0.0.7. At this point the minimum required version is set to Ver 1.0.0.5. But,now I want to move back to Ver 1.0.0.3.Will In Place Hosting Manager install Ver 1.0.0.3 though we don't change the minimum required version? My motive is to only change the location of deployment manifest and keep on jumping across versions(Up and Down).

I have two datagrids, one show Item purchase and the other Usage. I have total the QtyUsed column which I place the total on the 1st row as 11, I would like it to show 8 and show the reminder on the next row and calculate the QtyonHand. Below is the code I've tried and in work but I, think I need to kind of loop to drop to the next row. I had to place the number 1 for i to get the second row, but there may be many more rows. Not sure this is clear.
