I attempting to download 6 files from my FTP site to a local server using VB 2008.After 1 or 2 files are downloaded I am geeting an error Bad sequence of commands.It appears the ftp connection is not closing then re-opening.[code]Then I change the file name. After the 2nd or 3rd file, I get the error message.How would I close the connection and reopen it without having to close the program?

I added a msgbox to show me what the path to the server is and this is it.Click OK and it gives me the error above.So I changed the "ofd.Files.FileName to ofd.Files.SafeFileName My msgbox now shows this:Then VS throws en error saying it can't find the file in the projects debug folder so I move it there and run the program and it uploads. I noticed that in the first msgbox it has forward and backward slashes could that be my problem or is it something else?

It works fine when I download a file from an FTP server, but the second time that I download the same file i get "503 Bad Sequence of Commands".If I download one file, download 3 other files, and then try to download the first file again, I get the error. View 1 RepliesI write in VB2010, the software should work with the external hardware via RS232, the thing is when I send a command to the external hardware I have to wait for a reply from the device that command was received, just after I got the answer I want to continue send another command, I have a long sequence of commands i'm supposed to send, but I need to know for sure that the commands were received before I go on to the next command. I'm running an FTP Server using Golder FTP Server, which is freeware. I think it's setup correctly because connecting to the FTP Server using the exact same string as above using Windows Explorer works great.
Trying to POST a username & password to my PHP script at www.example.com/web-service.php which gets that info and echos true or false.

I get the following error as a javascript error for every action on the form. Changing any value, whether its a telerik slider, a radio button, asp:button, submit button, telerik rating. Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: An unknown error occurred while processing the request on the server. The status code returned from the server was: 500
I understand that the 500 error is an error thrown when the server doesn't have any more details, however I was hoping someone might have had a similar situation and can point me the right direction as I have a good feeling it has something to do with the Telerik controls.
I was able to submit the form using javascript however then I get the following error, and I don't know if they are related or not.Validation of viewstate MAC failed. If this application is hosted by a Web Farm or cluster, ensure that <machineKey> configuration specifies the same validationKey and validation algorithm. AutoGenerate cannot be used in a cluster.

I want to make a simple program where I can click a button and it send various commands to my VPS server through SSH. I have had an extensive search online but the SSH Components range from $200-$500 which is far to expensive for what I want to do. I was just wondering if anyone knows any other free alternatives. Or maybe has seen a free SSH Component. I am very well aware that free clients exist like putty but would very much like to incoperate it into my own program to be automated.
