I attempting to download 6 files from my FTP site to a local server using VB 2008.After 1 or 2 files are downloaded I am geeting an error Bad sequence of commands.It appears the ftp connection is not closing then re-opening.[code]Then I change the file name. View 2 RepliesI'm trying to write a console application that can modify registry subkeys on remote pc's in the same network. I have it working in my own environment but when I install on the customer machines I'm getting unauthorized access when it hits the OpenRemoteBaseKey. The security settings in the application properties is set to full trust application so I'm not sure why it won't work.
I'm using Visual Studio 2010 and first I just installed it on the customer machine and when it wouldn't work I ran the source code in Visual Studio 2005 which is on the customer machine but got same results.I can run the app directly on the remote machine and it will change the registry subkeys as directed, I just can't do it remotely. RemoteRegistry service is started. Both machines are logged in as administrators.

I've got a vb (desktop) app (not a web app) that needs to connect to my website, I've been told that embedding my MySQL database credentials is a big mistake for several reasons.So, I've built a web script in PHP that runs on my server called web-service.php, it's located at www.example.com/web-service.php.Now, I'm trying to connect with this code:

And when I do, I get the error "The remote server returned an error: {401} Unauthorised.", but I shouldn't need any credentials to access this. I'm just trying to POST a username and password to that page and have it query the database and then get the returned content, I'd prefer to use POST than GET so you can't see the user/pass in the URL (if possible).
EDIT: I used CPanel to password protect my website so it can't be accessed, after supplying my user & pass to access it, everything works.

I'm running an FTP Server using Golder FTP Server, which is freeware. I think it's setup correctly because connecting to the FTP Server using the exact same string as above using Windows Explorer works great.

I get the following error as a javascript error for every action on the form. Changing any value, whether its a telerik slider, a radio button, asp:button, submit button, telerik rating. Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: An unknown error occurred while processing the request on the server. The status code returned from the server was: 500
I understand that the 500 error is an error thrown when the server doesn't have any more details, however I was hoping someone might have had a similar situation and can point me the right direction as I have a good feeling it has something to do with the Telerik controls.
I was able to submit the form using javascript however then I get the following error, and I don't know if they are related or not.Validation of viewstate MAC failed. I am using process.start to start Excel.The filename argument has blank spaces in the path and the argument is truncated at the first space.The error that is returned says the file cannot be found.
View 3 RepliesWhen i use the FtpPutFile() of Wininet.dll to upload the files, there is no error returned (hence the function returns 'true'), but the file on the ftp server is just a partail image. Hence the upload process is not completed but the ftpputfile() cannot trap that. Any reason why? Or how to get trap those errors?
