When i use the FtpPutFile() of Wininet.dll to upload the files, there is no error returned (hence the function returns 'true'), but the file on the ftp server is just a partail image. Hence the upload process is not completed but the ftpputfile() cannot trap that. Any reason why? Or how to get trap those errors?

I know that .NET has several classes to do that, but sometimes I need to download a webpage that requires login, like a forum. I do not want users to fill in their sername/password in my application, because I know I'll get a lot of complaints about that. WinInet handles cookies automatically (if the user is logged in with Internet Explorer), but WebClient, HttpWebRequest and WebRequest don't.In my VB6 application I show a messagebox, telling the user that the webpage can't be downloaded the 'normal' way, but if they want, that the application can still download the webpage if they are logged in with IE.This is the VB6 code slightly modified. I added a msgbox to show me what the path to the server is and this is it.Click OK and it gives me the error above.So I changed the "ofd.Files.FileName to ofd.Files.SafeFileName My msgbox now shows this:Then VS throws en error saying it can't find the file in the projects debug folder so I move it there and run the program and it uploads. The SomeId value is the primary key of the related table. This issue is that there will not always be records in the Bookings table with a Ref value of Someid - so the query throws the following error.
I have seen others have got around this problem with catching the error, but from reading up on this and as per the error information it seems there should be a solution (in VB.NET) to cast the query or some of the fields in the query to nullable types?

I attempting to download 6 files from my FTP site to a local server using VB 2008.After 1 or 2 files are downloaded I am geeting an error Bad sequence of commands.It appears the ftp connection is not closing then re-opening.[code]Then I change the file name. I'm running an FTP Server using Golder FTP Server, which is freeware. I think it's setup correctly because connecting to the FTP Server using the exact same string as above using Windows Explorer works great.
