how to save a file to "program files\xyz\folder" using VB2008.here the sample code that i've try but i dont see any files that created on those folder.

I am writing a Windows Form program to automatically download and store generated PDF reports from a web site using the WebBrowser Control. The web site uses Ajax to link an icon back to the source aspx file which then returns a PDF file.
The problem I have is that the WebBrowser control brings up the File Save As dialog box when the PDF file is returned and I can find no way of handling this to cature and save the returned file. I have found other examples of how to manage this using the Navagating event to validate the extension of the file that is being accessed (e.g. [URL] and, if not an HTM, file then use the HTTP Web control to directly download the file. Unfortunately this will not work as the call references a .aspx page.

I'm having a slight problem getting my program to load a save file when double clicking the save file.I'm using the Command$() to get the command line argument. I can open a save file by dragging it onto the exe. But not by double clicking the save file (after it's associated with the exe).I though dragging and dropping a file on a program and double clicking the file would open it in the same way, but I guess not.So in short how does file association work and how do I get the file path set to a var when the program loads.

Currently I have three separate save commands in my program: Write to Plain Text, Write to HTML, and Write to Excel File.
Each one is invoked by a different command on a menu. I would like to combine these three into one Save File Dialog on the program. I know that I would have to edit the "Filter" property of the dialog box to add in the other two types.

It has 3 fields Name, Dept and Designation. I have been trying to fix this and make this work for pretty much three days now. I already solved one problem being, I can't use the shell on one HDD and create another file onto a different drive other then the drive that the directory of the application is running in.
EX:
If I run a program that is on the C: drive and using a working directory that is on the C: drive, I can not create a file onto the F: drive.
I got this problem when I was just using Shell(Environ$("Comspec") & " /c then the command")
So I decided to use Process()

I am trying to convert a program for VB6 to VB2008. In VB6 I have the code below to load a database field into a variable.
The database = Local MS Access MyDatabase has a table in it called CoInfo which has a field CustID that I need to put in a variable gCustID.

I edited the development copy of a cherished program beyond restore by CTRL+Z, the original version which I want to recover is already published and it is in the c:/deploy folder but I dont know how to open such files for editing. How can I open this deployed program to edit and add some methods. I was cautious enough to save the program before editing but I was suprised that the original was over written by the edited copy.

Published VB program will not run on another computer yet works fine on the computer the program was written on. Message window during set-up on the other computer reads "Cannot download the application. The application is missing required files." The set-up file is being run from a flash drive.The entire error summary is included below. A recurring line in the error message summary is "+Downloading file:///C:/Documents and Settings/username/Desktop/Application Files/filename_1_0_0_6/filename.exe.manifest did not succeed."The word "filename" is the name of my program. I'm creating a program and i want it to secretly save when the user clicks on save.
In other words, i have made it so that it saves twice. Once for the user to read (like a fancy copy) and another that the program uses to open up the form.
Currently when pushed, 2 save dialog boxes come up after each other. I don't want this to happen. I want 1 to come up (the user friendly, fancy version) which is the easy part, but i also want the other 1 to save automatically and secretly without asking the user to set the destination.
