Save My .txt Into .csv But When Its Loaded Into Excel It Writes Everything In Column?

Im currently looking fora solution to load/delete/write to a csv file. I tried to save my .txt into .csv but when its loaded into excel it writes everything in column
A1: John Freeman,Apartment 1 Street 2,New York with commas...
I want to put it in column A1: John Freeman B1: Apartment 1 Street 2 C1: New York
What am I missing? This cvs seems like the thing i want to work with.I testet it with writing my user registration form to .csv and its writing it perfectly into excel when i use & vbCrLf & between the text inputs, but will be listing them vertical and not horizontal as i want them to be.Also i don't know how to clear my csv document now and how to call the csv file to a table or a textbox like i did with my .txt file.

I have a VB.Net App that on ButtonRun_Click open Excel to get the "tab" and "column" then another buton that past content from textboxes. I get a "COMException was Unhandled" If I reopen excel it's in use.

I have a program that currently takes data and writes it to a MS Excel spreadsheet. (automatically opens the program, creates the cells, and fills them with data)
I would like to add an additional feature to my program that offers support for OpenOffice.org's 'Calc' spreadsheet program. (so users without MS Excel can use the application) So I am basically asking if anyone knows how to automate OpenOffice 'Calc' from VB.net. (I am using Visual Studio 2005)

how can I let VB.Net writes an excel 2007 file? We are using .NET2.0 and Office 2003 to develop a desktop application. We met the following problem which may fail the project.We developed some functions in our .NET application and exposed to Excel as an external automation. Then we developed reports template in Excel with these custom functions to generate our report data defined in Excel cells. However, when we tried to refresh the report via .NET to call Excel in background mode, we met the problem that the defined automation is either not loaded or not working after loading. It is extremely volatile. Then we could not refresh the data as desired to display it in .NET forms.

Let's say I have an edit view that is strongly-typed to a table called "MyData". The view has multiple tabs, each with several different fields from the table. For performance, the data is only loaded when the tab is viewed, so if you only edit a field on tab 1 and submit the form, the data for tab 2 will not be loaded.
The problem I'm running into is on the submit. I'm doing the typical routine of finding the existing record in the database and updating the passed values:

However, this method doesn't know which tabs were loaded, so if the tab with "desc" on it is not loaded, this method thinks the user blanked out the "desc" field, and sends NULL to the database.
How can I construct this so that only loaded fields are sent to the database, and unloaded fields are ignored?

If one of these is created in that folder then I want to add that file to a queue for processing. Once done processing I want to send the results as an attachment to an email to the user that created the file. After a file is processed I would like to remove it from that folder as well (into a diff folder of completed items).
I'm making a front end to dvdauthor.I have a picturebox which holds the menu background. In order to draw a textbutton on the background image I store the image in a hidden picturebox. So the text doesn't get drawn to the visible background.

This works the first time. But if I hit save again it writes the text to the background image on pbMenu1.

When saving as an xls it works fine but when saving as a htm its a disaster Just a bunch or symbols and stuff. BUT if I go into my xls document and Save As webpage from there, it works fine!
I created a program that has serval labels on a form and a listview object. It has a button that when clicked reads a textfile and loads up values in the listview object. I then can click and drag text from the listview box to any label on the form and then the program removes the value from the listview box. Now, my question is how can I instruct VB to save these values in the text property of the labels so that the next time the program is loaded the labels will contain the values loaded during the last run time session?
I have two rich text boxes, and two buttons on my screen. The first button grabs HTML from a URL and then converts the HTML to XML which resides in rich text box 1.
The second button is to grab the XML from the rich text box1 and then parse it to grab all the input elements by their ID.
My issue is that my parser isn't doing anything. My guess is that I'm not quite getting the XML from the first rich text box.
What would be the best way to grab the XML from a rich text box load it into memory and then parse the XML to grab all the ID tags?

i have one gridview with additional column (the additional column is not attach to database) but i want to import it to excel, but i used the common export to excel coding like below:

I am reading an Excel file into VB.NET. There are 4 columns containing dollar figures of varying amounts. I'm using the following code to search an excel document for the highest value within a range. What I need is to get the column letter that corresponds with that MAX value.
I have many files at work that need to be copied from one directory to another. However, I do not need to copy all the files at once.
I get excel sheets with the list of files that need to be copied once a week. So, in the main directory there is about 150.000 files and I only need to copy about 800 at a time.
I am thinking of having a textbox and an open dialog so I can pick the directory the main files are at - another one where I can choose where they will be copied to.
The problem is the list will be in excel sheet (column A). How do I have vb.net (2008) see the file names in column A and find them and move them?
