Jul 13, 2010I have to query once an hour to a remote web server to recieve data. However the remote web site does not use web services and state in thier 300+ page document that:
Although SOAP is a recognized Web Services API, the RTO web server does not offer a web services interface. That is, there is no Web Services Description Language (WSDL) file available for usage by participant web services client software.
So my question is how do send a soap request and get a response without the use of a WSDL?

Dec 28, 2011How do I send/Receive SOAP messages usiung .NET I wanted to invoke a webservice, however not like the way shown in the link above.What I did was, created a service reference with the wsdl url(in a windows application with a button click event)

I checked the property of objProxy, it is having basic http binding as the property. Anyone invoked the service like this? From soapui, the response is fine, after i populate the request fields.How can i enable the trace to see what is the request going and where is the problem.

The element from xsi:nil="true" is generated, even though i am not touching the element in my vb.net code to generate the request. The element is optional as per the wsdl(min occurs = 0). How can i send a request without the from element name, even passed in the request?

I used the "Add Service Reference" dialog to add the web service to my component, which generates the code needed to consume the service and adds the settings to the app.config file.I'm testing the component by adding a reference to its DLL from a Console application and calling the appropriate method that creates a new instance of the web service: ... = new MyServiceSoapClient(). However, when I do this, I get the following exception:

Could not find default endpoint element that references contract 'MyServicesSoap' in the ServiceModel client configuration section. This might be because no configuration file was found for your application, or because no endpoint element matching this contract could be found in the client element.This makes sense since the app.config isn't being brought over with the component's DLL. How can I call the web service without having to rely on the settings in the App.Config?

Dec 27, 2011I wrote a soap service in PHP using nusoap. It works fine with the test client I wrote in PHP, however, our customer wrote his client in vb.net and it is not working. There are no errors that I see, but the service is not parsing his requests properly.
I am letting nusoap generate the WSDL, and it looks fine. If I compare a message that I send in to one of his messages, I do see a few differences in the envelope, but I'm not sure if the problem is on my end or his.

I have used Newtonsoft.Json but did not help. Throws exception while runtime.

Sep 2, 2009I'm working on a tcp/ip project for the company i working for, with another company, we are building the server side and they're building the client side. while can send thousands of tcp/ip request over the net from one computer to another and my server can handle them very easily, from some reason when the company we are work with send a single tcp/ip request to my server with their client application, my server do get the request correctly and handle it very well BUT, after one request my server takes 25% of the cpu usage, after 3-4 requests the server takes 100% of the cpu usage,

Web Service On Server Error Request Format Is Unrecognized For URL?
May 9, 2009Request format is unrecognized for URL unexpectedly ending Error I have 3 webservices on windows 2003 server. All worked fine before and are called from one .net application on another server. Recently I added a few new webservice calls, builded and published . All webservices works fine on development locally. On production server all stopped working.
I would like to know how to solve the problem and how to capture the failure of webservice call. The application that is calling those webservices starts new thread to process and shows user Thanks you will get an email. However webservices stopped working and it took couple days to learn that nothing is happening, after research I learned that webservices do not work anymore. Bummer, I do not know how to alert in this case.But first more important how to fix it. On development server in VS 2005 all webservices works perfect. After publishing and testing on server to Invoke a service, the Error ....unexpectedly ending.. appears. Jun 17, 2011I have two web servers with public IPs, for example Server1 with IP 111.111.111.111 and Server2 with IP 222.222.222.222. see the picture:
There is an asp.net webform at Server 1. My intention is:
For every http request to that webform in Server1, the Server1 just pass the request's information to Server2 for logic processing and subsequently Server2 sends the response back to client (i.e. normal browser)
My questions are:
What information that Server1 needs to pass to Server2, so that Server2 able to send response back to client? note that at Server2, there is a TcpListener instance. This TcpListener instance acting as receiver for that webform request information from Server1. What is the suitable object (i.e. the class in System.Net or related namespace such as System.Net.Sockets) at Server2 for sending response back to client? Suitable here means able to meet my intention.
