Textbox2 Contains A Number And If The Number Entered In Textbox1?
May 25, 2012
Have a very nooby question here, textbox2 contains a number and if the number entered in textbox1 is higher than textbox2 i wish to display a message box but the following doesn't seem to be working properly?
Sometimes it lets the user enter a higher number, maybe I am doing this wrong?
Private Sub TextBox1_TextChanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles TextBox1.TextChanged
I have only really gotten into VB, so am an amateur.I have done quite a lot of search, and have read a lot of conflicting data which has yet to give me the result I'mafter.I have:Windows Form with many fieldsdatabase with 2 lots of data for reference. What I am after if for TextBox2 to give a result from the database when Textbox2 has user input.I have tried If TextBox1 = [Code] then TextBox2 = [Name] from db0 Names$
How can I get the sum all the values a user enters into TextBox1 to display that sum into TextBox2.The user is going to enter one value one by one. The user enters '1' into TextBox1, therefore, TextBox2 should display '1'.If the user than enters '2' into TextBox1, TextBox2 should display '3'.If the user enters '2' into TextBox1, TextBox2 should display '5'.And so on.TextBox2 should only display one value at a time, not one after another.I am using double because I need decimal places.I have a ListBox1 where it displays all the values entered by the user in rows one by one, but I prefer not to use the ListBox1 to get the sum of all the values entered in TextBox1 and to have TextBox2 show that sum. Because in that ListBox1, I have few other things in there, like Strings, which will not allow the sum of all the values entered in TextBox1 to be calculated and displayed in TextBox2.Not sure if this matters or not, but I thought it might. So only need TextBox2 to have all the values entered in TextBox1.If 1 was entered in TextBox1, TextBox2 shows 1.Then 2 is entered in TextBox1, TextBox2 will show 3.
i have two textboxes and 1 button and label1 in my asp.net webform ...when i enter Sumit in textbox1 and 23 in textbox2 then it validates the database to check whether then value entered in textbox1 is present in Name column of database and 23 is present in Age column of database....then it redirect to ~.Default2.aspx else shows error message in label ...
I have got the following code for if in textbox1 the would be appear as 10:10:00 AM and in textbox2 the time will appear as in 4 hours time slots automatically as 06:10:01 AM ..if the textbox2 time will be 06:10:01 AM then MSg box will appear that "You can not registered to this site because the 4 hours time slot will be over " [code]Remember in textbox1 the time would be any .....and textbox2 will auto generate time according to textbox1 to maintain 4 hours time slots between textbox1 and textbox2
i am creating a currency calculator and need to multiply the number in textbox1 with the number in textbox 2 (exchange rate) i also have a £ or a $ depending on the currency selected.
Let's say that you have a texbox labeled TexBox2 and you don't want it to be seen when the program runs because TextBox1 pulls information from TextBox2 and it shows up inside of TextBox1. How would you go about doing this?
I am doing a bar cash register and I want to use a if statement to see if fosters button and number 1 on the number pad are both pressed then multiply constant by quantity number
is there a way of making a random number generator, which would clear out 2 random boxes out of 3 even though there are 4?
lets say there are 4 answers one in each textbox. if textbox1 is correct, can i make random number to be between 2 -4 and clear randomly either textbox 2 and 3 or textbox 2 and 4 or textbox 3 and 4 and same for other text-boxes if they are correct?
i thought about making two random numbers picked randomly then use alot of if statements, but did not realize i am getting into something ridiculously long. I think there must be easier way than that.
Imports System.Math Public Class Form1 Dim var_ghost As Object Dim var_number As Double Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load [Code] .....
My question is; when you enter a variable to inputbox like "100.5" it shall return a numeric value at line1 and "100,5" too. But when I need to check for entered value is a real number or not (Look line2) CDbl("100.5") returns 1005 CDbl("100,5") returns 100,5.
Here's my Module Module1 Dim Board(3, 3) As Char Dim PlayerOneName As String Dim PlayerTwoName As String Dim PlayerOneScore As Single [Code] ..... How can I make it come up with no error when no coordinate has been entered, basically instead of a number being enter, the return key is just pressed.
how to validate 4 textboxes so that only numbers 1 to 4 can be entered but no number can be repeated.i already have code but it only validates some of the boxes and allows numbers to be repeated in other
Public Class frmGrid Private Grid() As Short Private Const intDimension As Short = 3
I have made an countdown app that is working in a normal way (added picture of it). Now when I select a number in the numeric box and click start, it starts to count down from that many minutes, but what I want is the number I put in the box *3. So if I put in 3 (points) the counter will count down 9 minutes. If it is possible I want a counter at the bottom every 3 minutes the value of the 000 at the bottom of the image multiply by 1 (+1 for every 3 mins timer1 runs).
I am trying to program the hamming code in vb... theoretically i understand and know how to do everything, first problem I've encountered is dynamic arrays in vb.net ... is it possible to determine the length of an array from the number of items entered in it, since I have no means of figuring out an exact number or length prior to several mathematical function which outcome will be the data .. directly saved to the array !!
I have designed a form with textboxes for numerical entry. I need to validate each textbox so the number entered is an integer, and is between 0-1000. I am struggling to find how to validate the data entry.
Simple code! where am I going wrong. I get end of statement expected in line 4 after valid.
Public Class Form1 Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click If valid('0') Is True Then msgbox("HI") End If
I am basically trying to create a basic math calculator, the basic inputs are in TextBox format. I have made the basic calculator ok but would like to have a MsgBox pop up if TextBox1 is > TextBox2 these are both TextBoxes which have data entered in them. Hope this explanation makes a little sense. Below is my attempt at this!
Private Sub MsgBox_Load() If (Val(TextBoxDPID.Text) > Val(TextBoxDPOD.Text)) = MsgBox("DPID can not be Higher then DPOD",
I have a UI that uses datagridviews / bindingsource / datatables of typed dataset for data entry. The dataset itself is serialized to a varbinary(max) in SQL. (i.e. no tableadapter, backend schema).I would like to limit the number of rows the user can enter into some of the grids (the data is used to fill PDF forms and I don't want them entering more rows than the forms can accomodate.).I have subclassed the datagridview, added a rowlimit property and tried to manipulate the AllUsertoAddRows property
Imports System.Windows.Forms Public Class dgv Inherits System.Windows.Forms.DataGridView[code]......
The behavior I see is that the messagebox comes up after leaving the max row even when the user is trying to leave the grid. I can lose the messagebox and deal with notification some other way but I thought someone else may have come up with something a little more sophisticated to handle simply causing attempting to add to many records to navigate out of the grid to the next UI control.
I have to write a program that does a count down on the number of seconds you entered in the GUI I have most of the code and it basically has to countdown the seconds i type in the txtStart. Attached is the program design..This is what i have so far with the code. It converts seconds to hours and minutes and seconds, but it doesn't do the countdown.[code]
