Sep 9, 2011I have this project that let user inputs 5 different numbers from 1 to 50. But I want to validate it before saving to DB that i will be 5 unique numbers.

This is before I open a project and visual studio is on the start page. The 'duplicates' do not go away even when a project is open.When project is open, Solution explorer displays duplicate images as well
I've tried all the following but still cannot get it to display normally. Restored my computer to a time when it was working ok. Full scan on my computer with AVG premium which includes spyware etc (No viruses , etc found) All software is updated fully

Sep 11, 2011I got an error when I tried to open the designer for one of my forms in Visual Basic 2010 express and I had the option to ignore it so I clicked that (which I regret doing so much) and now my form is erased,but I still have the code for it.I tried right clicking and selecting show designer but it just brings up a blank form. I had a datagrid control called "DataGrid1" and when i tried adding a new control to the blank form it says that "DataGrid1" already exists but it doesn't.So after I resolved the first 85 errors I got one more that doesn't make sense:
Error 1 The item "objx86DebugWindowsApplication1.frmMain.resources" was specified more than once in the "Resources" parameter.Duplicate items are not supported by the "Resources" parameter.

Jan 3, 2011I'm using a 2D array to store data in a grid and all the data is ones and zeros. By default, the array is all zeros. When I attempt to modify values in the array using variable(y)(x) = 1 where x and y are integers in range it changes the value to 1 in the entire column, not just a single cell.

Jun 10, 2010I am making my first windows forms application in VS2010 and I am having trouble with arrays. I have code that dim's an array 'TabSiteInfo(2,20)' as a string. Then, I have a Loop that adds records to the array. The problem is that my array is not filling values from the loop. I know VS2010 handles arrays differently, but I have this same code working fine for me in VS2008 ASP.NET application. Below is a sample of the code.

* Once the user design's each screen to his taste by placing various controls on the form, he should be able to save the form as a screen. Of course I have to provide functionality for each of the controls such as if he drags a button on to the form, he should be able to specify what action it has to perfom when clicked when the application is put into run mode. Quite similar to regular windows form button.
* My application should have two modes: a DESIGN MODE, where user can drag, drop controls and specify what they should do when put into RUN MODE. This is quite similar to MS Visual Studio designer.

I've tried editing code from the solution and the project. Both produce the error. Usually occurs when adding an "IF...Then..." condition. May work for hours but then crash. Solution will compile and build.

Mar 7, 2012I have a code that generates random code using a set of letters. One for a random pin and another for a random code. I can loop the generation of my codes depending on the input. When I try to generate 1 to 3 set of codes it works fine. but if it's 4 and above. I always get a duplicate set of random numbers. I don't what wrong. My code for generating my codes are in vb.net and be passed to a stored procedure for inventory.

Nov 25, 2011So basically I'm making a BINGO game on vb 2008 and i have a "call number" button. The letter and numbers get added to a list box each time. But i do not want the same number to be called. Is there a way that the program can read the items in the list box and not generate (Randomly) the same value again to be displayed in the label.This is what i have:

Removing Duplicate Numbers In Listbox?
Jun 10, 2011I have been working on a pythagorean theorem calculator and am actually stuck on the final bit of code. What I am trying to do is check the values (integers) inside a listbox, remove duplicate number (both values), and input one of the values into a textbox.
Here is an example of what I am doing:

When the program runs, check listbox value #1 and listbox value #2, if listbox value #1 and #2 match (2 & 2), input that value (not both duplicates) into a variable, remove both of the duplicate values, continue checking the rest of the values, and finally multiply the leftover values. I am sure that sounds confusing. Here is what the final output will look like

However if i change the line to notice the i beside the like

Aug 5, 2011Does anybody know which version of Visual Studio 2010 contains the full set of Visual Basic SharePoint Templates? I am about to embark on a project to create Visual Web Parts to be used in a SharePoint report.
At the moment I am using Visual Studio 2008 and even though the WSPBuilder is installed none of the relevant SharePoint templates are present.Having searched SO and the web, most advise to install the templates via the Visual Studio command prompt: devenv /installvstemplates
Alas the Visual Studio command prompt is also missing from my VS2008 installation.So, the question remains: which version of VS2010 contains what I need for pain-free SharePoint development? There is a rather large price different between VS2010 Professional and VS2010 Premium, so can anyone tell me if the cheaper version (VS2010 Professional) contains all the Sharepoint templates?
