Adding To A Value In Cell Database Vb

im having problems trying to work out the code i need to add to a value i already have in a cell in my database, for example if the cell contains the value 3, and input 10 to my textbox, then i want the cell to contain the value 13. at present what i input to the textbox only inputs that value rather than updating it. i would be appreciate any help as i'm a student and i'm new to using VB with databases!!

I have searched for this, and not been able to find any examples where someone has done this. I'm trying to add a new line into the cell of a DataGridView so the text appears on 2 lines (of the same cell). Here's some code to explain what i'm doing:

VB.net VS2008. I have DataGridView AutoSizeColumnMode set to AllCells which works perfect except I need a little more space between all text. How can a use AutoSizeColumnMode but add the same amount of space between the text and the cell border?

I am attempting to copy the value of the TimeStamp in cell A6 which has the NOW() formula into cell A5 Based on a change in Cell A4. The catch is I don't want it to update every time the sheet is recalculated due to updating links in other cells on the sheet. ONLY when Cell A4 Changes. What do I do?

I'm creating a database for photos'.
The issue is that I have a need to upload a set of photos to the database instead of a single photo.
This would be all fine and dandy if I knew how many photos would be added at once but in this case it could be 1 or 100.
I have my database (setup in details) and dragged onto my form. Right now I only have a picture box for my picture to place into the database.
So what's the best way to upload numerous photos to a database without having to create 10000 cells in my database?

I am trying to add selected items from a dgv (data gride view) where if i click on the cell it get transfered to a listbox. this is the code I have tried to use

As a bonus to the project I'm currently working on, the people would like it if I could change the background color of individual table cells depending on what their value is. The code below works for clicking on a cell and showing the text in the proper textbox. I am monitoring cell 0 and 2-5. The problem is when I sort the database by clicking on one of the headers that is monitored, the program shows the below error. The error corresponds to the cell position that is monitored. I have two forms in my program,on Form1 there's DataGridView and it shows the content of my database,on my Form2 there's few textboxes and listboxes. Wen you select row on Form1.DataGridView and double click the row header it pops up Form2 and shows the info of that previously selected row in those textboxes and listboxes.
Now with some help,i've managed to understand how to do that,but how to make those textboxes and listboxes connected to that row also?
I mean when i enter something in textbox it brings back the value to corresponding cell(to that cell of which value was shown in the textbox). Or how to make that textbox connected to the same row directly in my database itself(probably worse scenario,since any time i type new vallue and hit enter ir will connect to database,other way the value in DataSource will only be changed,it would take less resources and time probably?)

I have made a form that has three labels and textboxs and two buttons. The labels arelblPersonID, lblFirstName and lblLastname. The textboxs are txbPersoonID, txbFirstName and txbLastName. The two buttons are btnSave and btnQuit with "End" in htis button. I have also made a database "MyFriends" with a table that has PersonId, FirstName and LastName.
I want to be able to type into my textboxs and have that information saved as a neww row.

The problem is that if you never enter anything into a cell for a new row then that cell is never validated. This is a problem because I have columns that should not be null. I am doing the check in the row level validation and storing the information about which cells are empty that should not be empty. The row level validation works fine and the row level validation error indicator goes on,(red exclamation mark at the beginning of the row) but I also need a visual indicator on the individual cells that are in error.
I am thinking that setting the HasError property for the cells that are in error should cause them to display n error style (the default red border). Is there a way to this this either from XAML (perferably) or from code?Alternatively I could cause those cells to re-validate when the row editing is finished. Does anyone know how to do this?

Anyway, if I use a web service I need the web service(server) to connect to the databasen MS Visual studio when you add a web service project the data menu disappears and you can't add a data source to the project. There may be a workaround for this by hand coding this, but I am not sure how to do it. This is my first time working with a web service and ASP.NET so I am a real noob in this are

What I am trying to do it create a server application for all of the clients in my organization to connect to. I think the best way to do this is to use a web service.
Anyway, if I use a web service I need the web service(server) to connect to the database. I have a project I created for my VB class where you enter what type of ticket(combobox), how many tickets(textbox), what type of tickets(listbox) and will give you the total amount.I want to do a little more to the program and was wondering about adding the person's name, address, phone, city, state, zip and then having all the information put into a database. I wanted to also take the information entered from the program and use the printPreview control to view a report from Access(possible?).
I've only worked with viewing database information on the forms in VB but I've never entered data into the database. Is this possible?Can I have the information entered on the form be entered into a database that keeps track of all tickets purchased and customer information?I can see this working in my head but don't know if it's logistically possible.

I'm attempting to copy cells, one at a time, from an Excel 2003 (or 2007) spreadsheet to a Word 2003 (or 2007) table. I'd like the code to be version-agnostic, and so am using late binding. The formatting of the contents of the Excel cell, such as color, underline, strike-through, needs to be preserved. My approach is to use a Word doc as a template. It has a table at the top which I can copy to the end of the doc, add rows as needed, and fill in the word table cells with the data from the excel spreadsheet. Unfortunately, all the formatting disappears. All I get is the text itself.
