Button Automatically Changing Properties When Added To GroupBox
Mar 6, 2009
I've got a groupbox on my form. I changed its font and fore color. The problem is that when I add a button or any other controls like a label, checkbox etc to the groupbox, the controls are automatically changing their fore color and font to that of the groupbox. How to prevent this?
I added a groupbox and changed its heading's font and fore color. The problem is that, when I add a button to this groupbox, it automatically changes its font and fore color to that of the groupbox! How to prevent this from happening?
I have made a program wherein you the labels are dynamically created with a press of a button. if you press on the label, the label would then change color from white to blue. my problem is that how will you make the backcolor of the label change when the button3 is pressed.
here are the codes. placed the whole thing since I dunno if you guys would understand what I mean.
[code]...
PS here is the link to what my program looks like. link to my program . the button3 in the image is Reserve Seat.
I am trying to do an application where several textboxes and buttons will be added to a groupbox.
for example..
code:
I might have anywhere between 1 and 20 rows of these textboxes and buttons. I can add buttons on from.. but how would i add the textboxes or buttons to the say Procedure for MyButton_Click... Handles MyButton_1.click, MyButton_2.click
I'm trying to change the font size of a GroupBox caption (text). The problem is that if I change it, all the controls inside the box are changed accordingly. I want to change only the GroupBox font size. How to do it?
I'm fairly experienced with making user controls and have never had this happen to me before. All of my custom properties (gloss opacity, border color, header color 1 and header color 2) are all grayed out in the properties window on the form designer when I try to add my groupbox to a form.
Here's my Imports System.Drawing.Drawing2D Public Class DanGroupBox Inherits ContainerControl Dim _GlossOpacity As Integer = 50 Dim _HeaderBackColor1 As Color = Color.Silver [Code] .......
How do I turn off the ability for controls within a groupbox to inherit the groupbox properties. For example, my groupbox text has a fontsize of 9 and bold. Every Label control that I put into the groupbox defaults to the same. How can I change that?
I have two tables: HolidayRequests & HolidayEntitlementWithin the Holiday Requests I have 1 field:DaysWhen a staff member adds a holiday request it is stored as a number in the holiday requests table in days field (there are multiple requests with different days)
When new record is added, I want the vb to look at the last record in the database, look at its id, add 1 to it (+1) and generate a new number and display it in the IDTextBox.
I'm having a problem with a MySQL query for returning the "last visit" field in a table.Originally I had:select fname, lname, last_visit from patient where isactive = 1 and uid = 1Which worked perfectly in MySQL, but as soon as the query is executed by my ASP.NET app, it adds in the time field also to the date area. So 2011-12-12 becomes 12/12/2011 12:00:00 AMI tried this also, with no improvement:
I'm actually more comfortable in Java language for developing apps. But since my requirement now is getting tighter, I need to jump forward into VB.NET well yeah... seems need to adapt some a bit. Anyway, I typed a lot for making this setter and getter properties inside visual studio;
I found that there was the Settings.Properties collection as well as the Settings.PropertyValues collection, and hopefully i'm not doing extra work here, but i'm creating both, and then assigning a value to the Settings(PropName).
Defaultly, in my "static" settings (through the IDE designer window and such) I have 9 settings/properties, and at run time when I'm processing, the Settings.Properties.Count doeos indeed equal 9.
Now, in the process of my application I generate some "saved" control properties myself, and actively "add" them to the Settings:
For Each prop As String In Me.Keys Try name = Layout & "." & _control.Name & "." & prop
[Code]....
This seems to work fine, and after the repetitive code (cycling through a collection) is finished, the Setting.Properties.Count does indeed equal 79, for the 70 new properties added.
I not only execute a My.Settings.Save() when the application exits, but I know I also have the SaveMySettingsOnExit set to true, but the next time i load up the app, my settings.properties.count is back to 9.
I am designing a multlingual system. At one time, a person might want to use Arabic as his language of communication. In the form i have combobox and a richtexbox. I want If someone has selcted Arabic from the combobox, the richtextbox down to be formatted such that whichever letter a person types in it is in Arabi. The code I am using is stilling giving me english characters. When I change manuall by changing the regional settings, i can use the Arabic characters. I want this to be done automatically upon selecting Arabic in the combobox.
I am working on a project for a class, and am having trouble getting my program to automatically calculate the subtotal every time an item is added to the shopping cart list. I've tried sub procedures and functions, but I can't seem to get it to work.
My Form1 is set to 1920, 1080 but it keeps changing itself to something slightly smaller. it just changed to 1916, 1054. Last time it changed to 1920, 1062. I'm not changing anything, it just does it automatically.
Within my project I have created an Entity Data Model, complete with relationship links between the various tables. I notice when I do so, Visual Studio automatically creates a property named after this link.
I have then generated a Domain Service Class based on this data model, and once again within this a property is generated representing the link, ie within my ChemicalApplication class there is a Chemical property of type Chemical.
The trouble is, within the silverlight client, I can access the ChemicalApplication data object no bother, and can see the ChemicalApplication.Chemical property, but as soon as I try to access it, I recieve an error that the property is not initialised.
Do these auto-generated child properties not automatically initialise? If not, how do i manually assign a value to them within the RIA Domain Service?
Using Visual Studio .NET 2008 or 2005, is there a way to automatically generate properties for each column in an SQL Server database table? I am assuming other code-generation software exists that will do this. I know with Visio I can connect to my database and it will generate diagrams by table, this would be similar to that.
I am trying to get a button or picture to be able to move in a groupbox with the click of a button while using a loop procedure. I need the object to be able to 'bounce' off of the edges instead of going off the screen, and I also need to be able to incorporate a timer with a limit based on what the user inputs. I am using Visual Basic 2005.
I have a listview control connected to an SQL database, I have set up a datapager to limit the items shown on each page (3 per page). I have set the datapager to: visible=false and would like to know how to make the datapager change pages automatically every 5 seconds.
I have a Vista Glass form using dwmapi.dll. I have a problem, which is whenever I put the form over a white color, the text becomes very difficult to read, as it is white as well. But if I put it over a black or darker color you can read it fine. I want the text color on my form to be able to change when the form is moved over a certain color. No, I'm not trying to make a virus / automater...
In visual foxpro i can access to the code of the events inside of a INSTANCE of a that is in a group box but this is not the case in vb.net how can i do it? Here the images in vfp and vb.net
How can I change system properties like: being able to see hidden files or being able to see System files?
So far I can only do that with Particular files
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click Dim fileDetail As IO.FileInfo = My.Computer.FileSystem.GetFileInfo("c:\users\owner
im wanting to add a new feature but am unable to even get started. I'm in a windows form in visual basic .net and basically, I have a combobox with 3 items in the drop down menu. I would like to make it to where the moment one of the items in the combo box are selected, the program recognizes the change of index and automatically calls to the function of my choice.
I'm creating a VB.NET application that includes two radio buttons inside of a groupbox. If the first radio button is selected, a certain tab on a tab form should be enabled. If the second radio button is selected, that tab should be disabled.
Is there a groupbox method that monitors both radio buttons and fires when the selection changes? Or do I need to set up individual methods for each radio button?
