Create A Component In The Same Windows Form Project?

I have an error that keeps regenerating when the form is closed and open back up.
1) Windows Form Application (Project: TestProject)
2) Add class in same project:
Public Class Test : Inherits System.Windows.Forms.TextBox
3) Drag and drop into the form within the project (works fine)
4) Close form
5) Re-open form... then error about the class Test in the project not defined
Actual Error: Type 'TestProject.Test' is not defined.
Is there a best way around this besides creating a separate project and putting the 'Test' class in that separate project and referring that separate project in the 'TestProject'?
Modified Added: By the way... i've used Global.TestProject.Test... but then again another error generate with the custom property within the 'Test' class.

I have a solution with several projects most of which are code or control libraries. I have a main windows forms application that references and uses these libraries. What i am trying to do is create a 2nd windows application that extends the main one, but i would like to be able to deploy them as separate exe's.
When i try to add a reference to the new app referencing the main app; all seems fine until i try to run the new app i get several error msgs similar to below:
Error 1 Could not find file 'ADODB.dll' referenced by assembly 'D:Visual Studio 2005ProjectsXXXinDebugXXX.exe.manifest'. <newAppName>
i have tried adding references to all the dll's in the error messages and they are still listed when i try to run the new app. I thought of a few work arounds but they require user changes to maintain separate exe's at deployment. I would like to avoid this if possible.
I am converting an old Vb6 solution to .net 2.0 in vs2010. I've been working in C# for about 3 years now and .net for 5. I don't recall having this problem in C#, but if I want initialize a readonly collection of DerivedControlFoo Is there a clean way to do it besides creating a sub to do it all off somewhere else? I'd love to be able to do it at the class level at the declaration for readability and simplicity.
Now that I've got this service that runs really great on my 32-bit development machine when I use InstallUtil.exe to install it, I'm ready to take it to the next level and generate something that I can use to install it on my 64-bit production server. I've never done this before, so I'm looking for detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to "publish" this Windows Service that I've written, or make it such that I can take some kind of file (or set of files) and install my service on another machine. I'm looking for a way to do this using Visual Studio 2010. I think the processes are different than in previous versions of Visual Studio.

I am running vb.net in visual studio 2005 and i am fairly new to it all, whilst trying to create a windows application i have lost the .vbproj file and am only left with the .vb code that has been created whilst i have been using the toolbox to create the application graphically. Had this matter on Xp machine and visual studio 2010 ultimate after windows update between december and january: even the simplest windows form program crash on start when starting for debug (inside Ide, F5) unless putting breakpoints on each line of the autogenerated (and marked as "debugger step thorugh") code.(see: [URL]) I was wondering if this matter affects only Xp machines, or if someone with Seven or Vista had same matter.

I have a vb.net windows form app that I am deploying as using the visual studio deployment project. The app needs to write event logs to the application log in the event viewer. For reasons explained here I need to create the event source during the installation process. Something like this to run as part of the installer

That code needs to be run during the installer with elevated privileges. So my questions are:
How do I execute that code above as part of the installer? How do I get the installer to do the UAC prompt to allow that code to run as part of the installation?
Copy Windows Form from projact A to project B This looks a trivial task, but using VB 2008 Express edition:
1 - If I click Solution - Add - Existing And hand pick the 3 form files (the .vb, the .resx and the .designer.vb) then I can see those 3 files as textfiles, not as a "real" VB form!
2 - I want to duplicate Form1 to create Form2 that is slightly different.

I have to create a new project and in that project I have to create a inherited form from an older project. When I choose an inherited form, it says that I only can choose a dll file. But in my older project there is only an exe file. In all subfolders I cannot find a dll file. I'm creating what I believe is an mdi app.I have a login form.I have a class for security.My login form creates an instance of the security class. There are all kinds of security parameters for each user (permissions to different things, etc.)These parameters are part of my security class.Once the user logs in, many other forms will all be opened and closed within the main mdi frame.All of these other forms need the information of the security class to know what the user has permission to do.Do I have to create a new instance of security class for every form in my project? Isn't there a way to store this stuff globally somehow. Retrieve once from the db at the start of the app during login and just get it from this global area everytime?
I have been making a order processing system for a friends company and have 99% completed it. i was going through everything double checking all the components and i put a "DotNetBar" component on the form but then deleted it as i didnt need it. i only have a trial version of the dotnetbar and do not plan on publishing the software with the component on.
so after i deleted the component from the form i built a test version of the system and installed it on a different computer but when installing an error appeared saying something along the lines of dotnetbar component cannot be found. i couldn't find any trace of the component in the page.designer.vb file.
im by far no expert in vb (this is the first real program i have developed for actual use), i cannot find any way of getting all traces of the component of the project.
Vb.net 2008 I create registration user name and password project with Login form using My.Setting.My question when I wrote the username and password in TextBoxes . I want when checked CheckBox to save UserName and PassWord to Login again automatically.
