Create Separate Object Instances For New Objects In Separate TabPages?
Sep 17, 2010I have a TabControl object on my form with many tabs created in code (TabPages) and my problem is that the same objects that are in the initial TabPage needs to be in the other TabPages created in code, I have this done in code when the user clicks the 'New Tab' menu option, however the same code is used for any new tabs created. The problem created here is that I have an event against one of the objects that appear in the other TabPages, but because the same code is used to create any new tab pages, the event will only work on the newest tab page, if that makes sense? By the way these objects that appear on the other TabPages are properties at the top so events can be handled against them in the respective subroutine.

IE Favorites - Add Favorites Button That Has A Mouseover Effect To An Other Picture?
Aug 9, 2010I am creating a web browser and I would love to be able to view IE favorites and add, delete, rename, and all that to them too.I want to be able to say add to favorites and a new form comes up saying url and name, in the favorites list it reads as the name but when you click it goes to the url. This is what I have so far, never even started the code because I don't know were to start.
1) Menustrip with a view favorites to show and hide it
2) Add favorites button that has a mouseover effect to an other picture
3) Left Panel thats hides / shows
4) List Box that the name is Favorites
5) a combobox that has a go button, you could also press enter and no beep sound comes up
6) I got a tabcontrol web browser page

Jan 16, 2011I am playing around with VB 2010, and I want to create a separate file with different procedures etc so that I can call a proceedure etc from this file I have a simple form with a single label on it, and a seperate file called filelib.vb.In the filelib.vb is a proceedure called LogicalDriveTypes

In my form1_load I have Label1.Text = filelib.LogicalDriveTypes and I get "reference to a non-shared memner requires object reference. How where / what do I do to access the proceedures / functions in this other file any time I need to from this form ?

After adding the new row, m_table is correct. However, DVGCusClient not only adds this row, but also adds two additional blank rows at the bottom. I have no idea where these two blank rows come from. Why I use above code is as follows: Use a data grid view to display data. When a user clicks a row, another form is opened which allows user to search/input some data.When the user closes the form, all data is saved to a data table and shown on the data grid view.

Apr 7, 2009I have a favorites application which makes files corresponding with the favourites, but with the windows filesystem, I cannot create files with the characters: <> /\ : ? * ". This means that I cannot create favorites with HTTP: in them, which kind of ruins the point of having a favorites viewer. How I could convert the http: to another expression and save it, and then when the project loads make it into http: again. I have thought about using Regex to replace the expressions, but I do not know how to do that in a listbox.

Dec 19, 2009I've got a form where a user enters data. When the user submits that data, it inserts a record to two separate tables via a dataset. One of the records has no problem being saved into the database (in the table it was put into), but the other record seems to temporarily be in there (according to a third form), because it exists for the duration of the application, but when I exit, and then check the database, it's not there, and it's not shown on the third form when I restart the application again either.

Create a variation of this program that allows the user to specify any starting whole number and any ending whole number (10,000 or lower) and then adds all the whole numbers in that range. Allow for the possibility that a user may start with a high number and end with a low number. Format the label so that commas are displayed and there are no decimal places showing. The first 3 digits in parenthesis are the ISD code, the next three are the area code and the last four are the local number. I need to separate out these three fields of the phone number and display in three separate text boxes labeled appropriately. Apr 30, 2010I'll get straight to my problem - I'm currently coding in Visual Studio.I have a table (countries) with the columns ID | Name. The table is filled with around 28 records.I also have a form with 4 combo boxes (set up as 1,2,3 & 4) that I want the user to select. These combo boxes will display the names from the table countries. I then want to use the selected names in the combo boxes to Insert into their corresponding ID into another table. For example England would have the ID 1, USA the ID 2 etc.So, is it possible to have separate combo boxes that will give separate ID values but using the same table? At the moment I can't seem to find a solution.Eventually the form will have more than 4 combo boxes so I don't want to use separate bindingsources for each combo box.
